Well.....there’s a rather amusing story about that, I had returned from The Argy carrying my money sack, and had just got out of the Porsche when a figure loomed up in front of me and made me drop the sack in fright! It turned out to be just old Dodders out for a bit of an airing, but when I looked down on the path, the money sack had vanished! I think it must have been a fox or a mole or something that popped out and took it. Sorry.

Hope there are no hard feelings about the loss of the Argy takings? The thing about living out in the sticks is that there is always some wildlife ready to pounce on anything ( and that’s just Lord L!) Am as astonished as you are about where it went.

Lord L. seems to be spending very freely in the Argy today and I recognise one of the buttons that had got into the till somehow which he offered with his (or our!) cash. I had let him have a free pint of poteen a few days ago as he said he had no money .
