Good morning from the Sefton coast where the sun is shining.
As it was past 2pm when I caught up on Thursday, I thought it better to postpone…
Like Mick I think the PM has taken a gamble; I’ll continue to wear a mask and maintain distance, preferring a more gradual easing of restrictions. In an attempt to avoid confrontation, I’ll also be avoiding indoor spaces which are busy.
I hope Imogen continues to improve Jaxjacky and I've enjoyed reading that you had a thoroughly enjoyable day together. After all you’ve had to deal with recently Susan56 I'm sure your 'therapy session' on the ride to IKEA was exactly what was needed. The specialist seen at your recent appointment Grandmafrench sounds very positive and encouraging; excellent news. What a wonderful scenario involving the camp and flirtatious waiter, grandMattie, which truly warms the cockles of the heart. Talk of bottle-nosed dolphins from brook2704 and of ospreys and wallabies from Esspee is wonderful. Get better soon, muse, and please take care when driving. Well done harrigranDGD. A gold star for that girl, and of course one for Elizabeth1. Happy golden wedding anniversary Gingster and happy belated birthday Blossoming.
Yesterday I was busy with DiL's birthday, a meet up with 6 friends al fresco and an 8 mile bike ride. Today I'm awaiting deliveries of 'Euro clothes' iykwim and have a hair appointment.
Happy 12th birthday wishes for your DGD NannyJan53. I also think you should seek medical advice,*Marydoll*. While having a cough keeps you safe from others, it is not good for you and might be better investigated. Greyduster, have you been bitten by a horse fly? They're nasty things.
Have the best day you can everyone. Stay safe and take care. x

Good morning all from a cloudy, warm and dry Lancashire. Not much planned for today other than bagging up the last of the charity shop donations and a walk around the marina. Marydoll I hope you find something not too strenuous to do today and the cough settles down a little.

Have a happy Friday everyone, while I was typing this the sun has come out, hope it’s an omen ?

Marydoll Fri 09-Jul-21 09:25:59

Oh and I meant to say, my GP heard it last week during our phone consultation, as did my consultant, neither are concerned. They know me well.
You are all very kind, thank you lovely people.

Nannagarra Fri 09-Jul-21 09:34:15

X post with you Marydoll. Hope you have a good day.

A quick good morning before I am of to have (another) blood test.
Will read when I return.

??? Elizabeth ?

Oops my first post went without my permission!! Good to know your cough is 'under wraps' Marydoll
Yesterday we drove to Ripon to give the car a run and get some shopping1. It was market day and we could not find anywhere to park our metal box, so came home - today we will get the bus to Ripon!!
Yesterday had our DGD, she found the face paints I bought, so we were all made up like cats - she did a good job for a 5 year old, sorry, no photos - too incriminating!!
There are lots of lovely photos on today, cant mention them all, but you look very well Elizabeth
Have the best day you can folks.

Good morning from a lovely sunny South Yorkshire.
The internet connection has been playing up, so I’m late to the party today even though I’ve been up since 7.30.

Got some washing drying on the line and another load to follow shortly. It’s nice to be able to get it outdoors again - these last few days haven’t been dry enough.

I finally managed to get two of the three hedges trimmed yesterday so the garden looks much improved. DH will help me with the third one at the weekend (weather permitting), as it’s much denser and pricklier than the others and requires a team effort.

I haven’t read any of the posts yet, so will come back later for a catch up, but hope all is well.

Take care everyone.

Good Morning Mick and all Morningsters. Cloud Cornwall is beckoning me out very soon. Gentle gardening today. Picked my first tayberries yesterday and will spend quite a time tying up new growth for next years crop.

Had an amazing session at Pilates last night. The drive there (5mins) went well. I explained what I had done and she put in a few stretches to help. The others were told the stretches would help them too. Average age is about 60. The stretches involved using a band. As I have my own, I'm doing some twice at day at home now.

Scentia. I will look out for you. I do enjoy that programme.

Jax How's the greenhouse? Everything is slow here. I've still got flowers on the toms and peppers. Hope Imogen's dressing goes OK. Think you said it was today.

Kitty Chelsea chop is in action here today as well.

Alizarin Do you have a Liverpool accent? My daughter's office is on Albert Docks. She does miss it as she is still working from home. I always enjoyed meeting her for lunch there when I visited.

Gelisajams. 2 years! Enjoy your long lunch.

Lins1066 Oh to have been there for that match. How fantastic to have watched it live.

Grandmadinosaur ? I might try that. Wonder if it works for adults too.

Elizabeth1 Well done. Enjoy the cauliflower cheese. We had that last night.

Espee That was a scene I would love to see.

Grandmafrench Sorry if I missed it, but how often do you have to go through all that? Glad you've both been rubbers stamped again. Will look for Tie Dye. I erected an arch last year to take a very ancient rambler. That's just finishing and I'd love some colour for late summer/autumn

Nannagarra. Thank you for those kind words. I'm getting there slowly. Horseflies? We call them pussyfoots as you can't feel them until they have bitten. MrM has an allergy with some bites, namely mossies and horseflies. He's finally given in with his own make do dressings, and started regular visits to the surgery for treatment of a bite he had two years ago.?Apparently, for some, there is something in their bite that stops the wound from healing and MrM is one of the unlucky ones.

I started this post at 9:21 as you posted Nannagarra. Had a break for late breakfast and a wander down to the drainage to see the final stage happening today. I'm doing a very quick preview and??I will catch the post before 12:00

Safe day everyone.

Auntieflo Fri 09-Jul-21 12:24:35

Well, back from the blood test. all very well organised and appointment time, spot on. Home to a coffee and a quick squizz at my emails. One from the Dr's surgery asking if I would take part in a survey, as I have been marked as a possible candidate for Parkinsons! I have enough to contend with these days without worrying about anything else, thank you very much!
You are all such a busy lot, that I can't keepup, and need a pencil and jotter to make notes. Maybe in future.
But, well done Elizabeth1, you are indeed doing extremely well. Hope you enjoy the cauliflower cheese, one of my favourites.
The OT is coming this afternoon, after her no show on Tuesday, to see how I am getting on with all the equipment that was delivered on Monday. Most of it is fine, but some will be going back. ?
Marydoll, DH has also had a cough for 40 odd years, a left over from asthma days. It comes and goes, but seems to do him no harm. Just very annoying, especially these days.
I am off to give him a lift to town shortly, for his volunteering afternoon, so hope the OT doesn't decide to arrive early ?
Have a good day one and all.

Jaxjacky Fri 09-Jul-21 13:15:20

muse yes dressing change earlier today, thank you, DD has been instructed to photo the wound each time to show next nurse. Greenhouse doing well, baby toms, flowers on chillis and peppers, baby cukes and possibly flowers coming on aubergines. Never grown aubergines before, so I don’t know!
