One of my DGS's won an academic scholarship to a very good school indeed, and today I am watching the live stream of the Speech Day where he has just bounced up to receive the academic prize for the first year.

Can't believe this is our little chap! He is still very little - all the other pupils going up for prizes were massively bigger than him! He is absolutely thriving in the environment and loving every minute of his school days. His thirst for knowledge is extraordinary.

Feeling very proud today.

I will stop crowing now! smile

Luckygirl one of the very few good things about the current situation is that schools are making their events accessible online. I’m so glad you were able to enjoy being in the moment with your grandson as he received his award. Well done him!

Such good news, Luckygirl, and speaks volumes for his parenting (and grand parenting, of course). Lovely to have something to celebrate after all you have endured.
