Bosom swelling with pride

One of my DGS's won an academic scholarship to a very good school indeed, and today I am watching the live stream of the Speech Day where he has just bounced up to receive the academic prize for the first year.

Can't believe this is our little chap! He is still very little - all the other pupils going up for prizes were massively bigger than him! He is absolutely thriving in the environment and loving every minute of his school days. His thirst for knowledge is extraordinary.

Feeling very proud today.

I will stop crowing now! smile

Luckygirl

It is so kind of you all to share this moment with joy - I thought I might get shouted down for boasting. But he is a lovely young man and lots of fun as well as having a brain like a planet!

You're not boasting. Yes he's a lucky boy to have a good academic brain, but he's the one working hard, making the most of his talent and, best of all, enjoying it! How lovely for him to have that recognised.
Good news deserves to be shared ?

luckygirl ditto!
I watched the live streaming of our GS get his prize on his schools speech day too, (on Thursday) we usually travel down and go, but it was award winning pupils only and their parents allowed this year.
Well done to your GS.
