Advantages of greying hair and an air of respectability

This morning I boldly went and did something bold, counting on my greying hair looped up into a bun – it used to be a dancer's bun chignon but now it's just a granny bun ? – to pass it off. It worked a treat.

Now all I have to do is work on my projection of serenity ?

Anyone else finding age can be a useful adjunct?

Lisagran you have now inspired jug-envy; those flowers are gorgeous.

Thank you! Here’s one for you

Loads of people bless me , i hear "ahh bless you" almost every day except when i sneeze.

Am i missing something ?.

Baggs Sun 11-Jul-21 19:20:07

It's because of cakeandliberty.org

I'm always doing that!
Although my hair stubbornly refuses to go grey

Deliberately stood on the vicar’s foot, whilst topless?
I think my vicar would just calmly say, 'ouch, that hurt, Call' whilst offering me his surplice

Seduced a young neighbour
Seduced an old neighbour

The vicar is my neighbour, age indeterminate but much younger than me!

That was indeed bold... and brave.

I don’t object to “bless you” post sneeze but I really dislike “Awww. Bless”. (And “awww. hun”)

What responses did you get Baggs?

lemongrove Mon 12-Jul-21 15:40:44

Yes, I was wondering that too, did people engage with you and take a cake?
It’s always a brave ( or bold) step to do something that challenges yourself that you believe in, as long as you are prepared for brickbats as well as smiles.

I’m afraid I’ve given the wrong impression. My fault entirely. What I did was because of Cake and Liberty. I didn’t actually do the cake thing, though I would if I could get someone to do it with me. I don’t feel brave, just defiant.

Have I misread ? Is cake and Liberty and anti lockdown/mask etc campaign ?
