Good Morning Everyone,
Its looking like the start of another hot day here in Brackley this morning .
Today for me later will see me watch the final stage of this years Tour de france with its usual finish on the Champs Elysees hoping for a british winner in Mark Cavendish as to the stage.
Otherwise a quiet day in .
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning Mick, Annie, and all. It's roasting here, so I am inside at the moment with the fan wafting cool air on me.
I read some posts earlier, then stopped to listen to our on line service. It will be the last one, as next week the Church will be fully open. I'm not sure whether to go or not. Sitting on an upright chair for 45 minutes, might be a step too far. But, we shall see.
I have one load of washing on the line and another to go out shortly. DH is having a conversation with a friend. He was supposed to be in hospital last week, for a hip replacement, but it didn't happen. So fingers crossed he will be able to go in soon.
I am crocheting Minions for GGS, who knows that I can make things. ?. Yesterday , whilst in town, I found a Minion pair of goggles, and a pencil case, decorated with them. So that will make a nice addition to his parcel, when it gets packed.
I also found a Corgi, boxed, Ice Cream Van, with music, for DH to add to his collection. Who on earth will want them later??

I shall have to go and root in the freezer to see what we shall eat tonight. Hope I get some inspiration.
Have a good day one and all. Stay cool and safe.

Good afternoon all , I’m doing a butterfly count , but they have all disappeared as soon as I sat down ,
GrannySomerset I hope your day improves , it’s hard to get the hydration right , gentle encouragement doesn’t always work ! I used to just lift the cup while chatting and hold it to OHs mouth , get a few sips down and move on without mentioning drinking , sometimes it works , sometimes not xxx

Worth a try, aggie, and I will attempt it. Doesn’t help that he only really wants tea or coffee but will keep at it.

Thank you all for your empathy. It makes me feel less alone.

Good evening Mick and Morningsters. I will just make the Saturday posting.

Had a leisurely read through all the lovely activities you have all been doing either in the sun or inside today.

I too remember 1976 Grandmafrench. Eldest was 6 and youngest 4. Most days were spent in the garden with a sheet thrown over the washing line make do tent, and a paddling pool under it.

I see Rufus2 has been casting aspersions about my Cornish Crab and array of food condiments (Saturday thread)?

Amazing day today but I'll divulge more tomorrow. My bed is calling me.

Wherefore art thou, Urm??
