Just seen Harry has written a tell it all book, well with a ghost writer anyway. What on earth is left to say? From what I understand it’s his life from his viewpoint along with lessons for us all. I’m beginning to feel sorry for the rest of the RF. where is it going to end.

Think about why that is Millie.

Ellianne
Perhaps that read wrong as I meant 'please no more' from him. If that makes sense ? it's a bit too warm to think straight!

Ellianne Tue 20-Jul-21 22:19:30

Thank you Millie I understand now.
I thought you meant no more from posters on here! Yes it's still sweltering at 10 pm!

Sorry Millie I thought you were defending him from us!

I don’t think he is terribly well. He is certainly obsessive.

What irritates me about Harry is that he keeps banging on about ‘being his own man’ ad infinitum but still wants o keep his title and all the privileges that go with it. The only reason for the book is money although I believe some of the proceeds will go to charity. Basically he is prepared to ‘sell out’ his family for money and self publicity. This is the person who wanted to leave the Royal Family and lead a ‘normal life’.
He and Megan have done nothing but court publicity since they left this country.

The new truth is that if you say something often enough and enough people agree then it becomes truth. This will probably be the truth in Harry’s book as with everything else he spouts.

The Duke of Windsor wrote, with the help of a ghostwriter, his memoirs after abdicating. I haven’t read it but my brother in law had a copy. It is probably a restrained work I imagine and the unrestraint is the worry for those connected to Harry.
The Duchess of Windsor wrote one too.
Harry seems to me a true Spencer, they can be trouble, many big family estrangements and taking the huff.

One newspaper, I don’t know which, because my DH only sent me the photo of the wording, portrays the contents of Harry’s book like this. It’s all a bit sad really. He seemed such a nice young man.

Smileless2012 Wed 21-Jul-21 09:34:44

Oh dear, he's going to get some flack isn't he. It's a great shame he doesn't have anyone who can give him some sound advicesad.

Anniebach Wed 21-Jul-21 09:43:26

He has walked away from those who would give him sound advice.

It's the Daily Star.
Just googled it.

Pussy whipped is the phrase some use here. Probably originated in the good ole US of A.

maddyone Wed 21-Jul-21 10:22:59

Gosh, what a revolting phrase nanna8.

Calendargirl Wed 21-Jul-21 10:48:35

Before he left the UK, certain courtiers referred to Harry as ‘The Hostage’. Apparently.

maddyone Wed 21-Jul-21 10:51:50

That suggests Harry was having difficulties for quite a while doesn’t it?

That phrase is such an insult to any man it is attributed to.

lemsip Wed 21-Jul-21 11:15:44

Calendergirl it meant he was meghan's hostage..........he had said or shouted 'what meghan wants meghan gets'

Ellianne Wed 21-Jul-21 11:19:18

The entire royal family are hostages in a way in the lives they have to lead.
Running away is fine, but I believe you take your baggage with you.

Ellianne Wed 21-Jul-21 11:21:39

For Harry this well known saying comes to mind.

Sparklefizz Wed 21-Jul-21 11:41:41

As someone said about someone else on a different thread:

When someone shows you who they are, believe them.

Nannashirlz Wed 21-Jul-21 11:57:06

I think further down the line in years to come, when the marriage goes pear shaped. Since ppl don’t marry for life anymore. Hes going to think what have I done. By then our Queen will have gone and maybe even his dad. And he can’t take back anything he’s said.

I live in dread of anything happening to Wills and Kate. I think they’re lovely, and the children are adorable.
I don’t know how the succession would run, but in the event of an disaster I think you’d have civil war in the country before the people would accept the two clowns formerly known as Prince Harry and Meghan Lost Her Marbles to rule over us. We’d be looking at a revolution rather than having them on the throne.

Me too, Infinity. I wish they wouldn't all travel together in the days when they used to be able to fly somewhere. Once upon a time that wasn't allowed.

I wish Harry would be removed from the line of succession. I would much rather have Princess Anne on the throne if there was a crisis, or even Prince Edward (not Andrew, obviously, although the latest polls have shown that Harry is even less popular than Andrew .... he must be at rock bottom!)
