Here we are yet again,
Happy as we can be...
All good friends and jolly good company.
WELCOME to our very own kitchen in which we celebrate happy occasions and support each other through the difficult times.

Grandmabatty I have everything crossed for you too ??
Fingers crossed for you here too grandmabatty.
How is everyone else in this lovely kitchen?
soop, I have seen that you are having another of your family get togethers on the basis that it might be in my neck if the woods, we have taken the precaution of booking a holiday in the Cotswolds. All that carousing that you and your family do keeps me awake!!
Er, what is Selkirk Bannock, Maw? I'll have some anyway as it looks delicious. I hope Rosie is recovering well!
Ann, enjoy your trip.
Welcome to all newcomers to this kind and gentle space.
Hello, lovely Kitchen folk!
Just popped in to send kind wishes/ love and prayers ??? to Soop, Grandmabatty and all who need/wish them.
I'm a bit anxious today as our area, Lanarkshire, has the highest number of covid cases in Europe, over 800 per 100,000. WHO
Take care out there, ??
All my good wishes for an "all clear" tomorrow Grandmabatty
All the very best for tomorrow Grandmabatty be thinking of you. ???
A gentle Hug and all my very best wishes for tomorrow Grandmabatty ?
Best wishes for tomorrow GrandmaB
MawB, sorry to hear about Rosie, bless her, I hope she`s doing OK now?
I answered the phone earlier, to hear a female voice, obviously not English, asking if she was speaking to Lynne S------, but pronouncing it wrongly. So I said no, thinking it was a scam call, then asked who was calling, she named a medical supply company who bring things that are ordered for Lynne, before I could apologise she`d said sorry and rung off. She rang back a minute later, and it was me who had to apologise then! She was very nice about it.
For Grandmabatty ???
Get well soon Rosie the dog ? - we never want to see our pets in pain do we?
Grandmabatty Us lot are thinking of you.

MawB Super book. Delicious bannoch. So sorry to hear that Rosie has a painful paw. She is such a gentle girl. Give her lots of TLC please.
Beautiful flowers, GrannyGravy may they give you much pleasure.
Good afternoon lovely Kitcheners. It seems I have managed to damage my knee in one of my recent ‘staircase freestyle sleighless bobsleigh’ record attempts. Unfortunately it’s the knee of the un-paralysed leg, which does most of the work. There’s an impressive lump and I am having to rest it and do some gentle exercises.
Hope your appointment goes well Grandmabatty and the inconsistencies turn out to be harmless.
TOYA
Grannmarie Thank you for your kind words.
We shall be meeting family in Carlisle. We're renting a property. Dining out. Looking forward to non-stop blether. After Thursday, I shall not be visiting our kitchen. I know that you lovely lot will continue to keep each other company. That really matters to me.
I am still busy doing all the jobs that I always do prior to a few days away.
Sun shining. A lovely final day in August. Here is last night's wonderful sky.
Bless you, Blossoming. You can ill afford to injure your good leg. I trust that you have suitable pain relief. (hugs)
I have every intention of popping into our kitchen tomorrow. On Thursday I'm having my hair coiffed. A special occasion for me.
Love to you all.

Blossoming - I'm feeling sorry for myself today after a fall on Sunday. But feeling a bit ashamed now. After your news.
Wishing you a speedy recovery.
Thank you soop. Your family get together sounds alike it will be a wonderful occasion.
????for Grandmabatty
Here’s hoping it is an unclear picture (you forgot to smile) or maybe a cyst - if so, welcome to the “cysterhood”.
Whatever, we are all rooting for you and together we will send it packing xxxx
Fennel don’t feel ashamed, falls are horrible and shake you up. Sending you a virtual hug, look after yourself.
Grandmabatty will be thinking of you tomorrow and keeping everything crossed ?❤️
I’ll be sending positive thoughts on Wednesday grandmabatty,
.
Exciting time ahead soop, enjoy every second.
Maw hoping Rosie is recovering well, another one here to whom bannoch is a mystery?
Blossoming got to stop those staircase ventures, unless you’re aiming for gold…take care you x
Family get together soop the best, hairdo and all, stunning photo as usual. You should make a calendar, I’d buy one, for your preferred charity.
Again, Grandmabatty I wish you the best outcome tomorrow.
Compared to you kitcheners, I’ve had a busy phone calls, voluntary drive, housework day. My friend, whose had three pain free days at home since hospital is now back in pain, GP prescribed Tramadol, ambulance if no improvement, not good.
Take care special people x
Just a quick trip to the kitchen for me, bearing some malt loaf to share.
Hoping for a reassuring outcome for you tomorrow, Grandmabatty. ?
for those who are poorly or in pain.
I’m on day three of a migraine and suffice to say, it’s not put me in a good mood. It’s coming and going, currently gone but I’ve got a cottonwool brain now. (‘How is that different from normal?’ I hear you all ask!)
I’ve been catching up on life admin stuff, paying bills, arranging for workmen to come, planning for some furniture to go to my DD’s house. I got the car cleaned, too - the view is amazing now the dead insects have been removed from the windscreen!
Take care, everyone. Xx
In my prayers grandmabatty. Hope all goes well tomorrow.
Maw hope Rosie is on the mend.
Blossoming been sliding down the stairs on a tea tray again! Sorry you’ve injured your good knee. Hopefully with a little rest it will improve soon.
Fennel you too. It’s always such a shock isn’t it. Hope you’re not too badly hurt.
soop have a lovely, lovely time with your family. You and Mr Soop deserve it. Have you a special outfit for the occasion? You always look sensational.
suedonim thank you for the malt loaf. My favourite.
Sorry about the migraine. Hope it is now gone for good.
Take care all.
Just popping into the kitchen after a busy day travelling down from Inverness to Cambridge but the journey was good with no hiccups. I’ve been to the park, had a lovely meal cooked by DD1, helped bath and put the DGSs to bed and now flopped on the sofa whilst DD1 and SiL do a bit more work. They both have busy jobs but work from home so there’s no clear timelines on when the work day starts and finishes
Hope Rosie is a bit better Maw
Take care Blossoming and Fennel
Hope you have a lovely time away soop and make special memories
Hope your migraine is sent packing soon SueDonim
Have a good night all ?
‘Evening All’.
We are an hour ahead out here in Malaga so it’s almost 10:30pm now. It’s still a lovely warm evening. I’m tapping this out on the balcony. Himself is in bed. I’m sat here with a bottle of water & will have half an hour, catching up on GN and reading the news headlines.
I’ve had a lovely afternoon with my ‘Ladies Who Wine’ and came home at 6pm. I had a quick, cool shower to freshen up, then we went out for a stroll before ending up across the road at Sebastián’s for a plate of dinner & drinks.
I called at a local farmacia for blood pressure tablets earlier. Felodipine. Felodipino out here. Until now it’s been possible to buy 30 tablets for €9. Now though? ‘Non. No possible. Necessario un prescription. Todo cambio.’ (All change).
That said, the pharmacist saw I only had 4 tablets left and still allowed me to buy a box. Note to self for future use!
I can still remember the days when one could buy a box of antibiotics out here for €2! Times change. Nothing stays the same does it?
