Good morning, all from an increasingly warm Sarthe.

No news really as DH still in pain at times and I’m trying to keep going. It’s distressing when he’s suffering a spasm which causes him to cry out.

Hope all the GM gang are as well as possible. ??☀️

Good morning you early birds and all those to come. ?

I’m going to see Cinderella next Thursday Mick and had an e mail from the coach company yesterday to say we have to do a lateral flow test and provide proof of a negative result. Not sure how to do that! I’ll let you know how the theatre is run re Covid, Mick.

We’re all going to my nieces wedding blessing today , - church service at 11 and it’s in saffron Walden , so a good hours drive plus friday being ‘rush hour’ day, . DS is taking us , so we can relax.

Wishing you all a happy day.?

grandMattie Fri 03-Sept-21 07:06:21

Good morning from a grey Bristol. It is marginally warmer.
Iris and DD went to see Sleeping Beauty on Wednesday night. Don’t know about lateral flow tests.
Yesterday, DD performed a wedding on a couple with a combined age of 159 who have had 100 years of marriage between them! Hope for us all…
I went shopping with DGD1 yesterday. It was exhausting as I’m not really a shopper, but she loved it. Also made my famous 3 ingredient brownies with Iris who is the baker.
Going to @Bristol today.
Hope everyone has a good day. ??????☀️?☀️

Good morning Michael and all GNs. A good covering of grey yet again in South Yorkshire. It did lift for a while yesterday so fingers crossed. We are early birds waiting for the decorators. They will break the back of it today and finish on Monday. I wish they were working anywhere but the stairs and landing. You don’t realise how many times you actually need to go upstairs until you can’t go upstairs! Got my hair cut yesterday and feel much better for it. Not sure what else is going on here today. Suck it and see!
Have the best day you can folks.

Good morning Mick and All.

It is brightening up here in Wells. We are staying very near the Bishop’s Palace, such a nice B and B and I am now watching the alpacas in the field ahead of us.

So sorry to hear about OldDudders it is hard to see loved ones in pain. ?

How lovely grandMattie for your DD to have the opportunity of marrying two ‘mature’ parishioners.

I’ve written a list of all the things we can do whilst on our short hols and it may be a case of putting a pin in the list and seeing what comes up. We are due a lovely sunny day.

GrannyGravy13 Fri 03-Sept-21 07:25:16

Morning Mick and all

It’s grey here in S E Essex

Enjoy your wedding in Saffron Walden Gingster it’s one of the prettiest towns in Essex. Hope your DH has a pain free day Ashcombe

We have The Imp today, will pick up his brother from school and keep them occupied until DD gets home. Then we are off to DD’s at 5.30 to look after GD & GS ( 4 & 2) so they can go out for dinner in peace!

I think I will need to have a lay-in tomorrow grin

Thinking of our missing friends (((hugs)))

Take care and keep safe folks ?‍♀️?

Beechnut Fri 03-Sept-21 07:28:02

Good morning from a grey Severnside.

I don’t go much now that Beechnutella has moved from the city but I like Bristol and the independent shops she lived near in Gloucester Road. I shall have to ask her about her oldest marrying couple as she was once a celebrant.

First things today are getting a gardening magazine, booking the car in for MOT and shopping.

Have a good day all ?

Georgesgran Fri 03-Sept-21 07:28:09

Good morning from a grey, gloomy Durham. I want to get in early to thank all the wonderful GNs who sent me their good wishes yesterday. I was very touched. Another milestone reached and passed - I was surprised how it affected me.
SinL still poorly so I’m keeping their dogs here as DD2 can’t manage him, a baby and dogs on her own. I shall have to plan my day around them, so a bit of gardening’s on the cards.
Hope some of us find some sun today.

grandMattie Fri 03-Sept-21 07:30:31

Forgot to wish everyone a happy birthday/anniversary especially to Auntieflo. Lovely photo, big milestone! ❤️❤️

kittylester Fri 03-Sept-21 07:33:20

Morning all from a misty North Leicestershire.

Our cleaner is coming this morning so I will go out and do some bits and bobs around the village and nip into town to collect my medication to keep out of her way.

Enjoy your days everyone.

Grandmadinosaur Fri 03-Sept-21 07:34:39

Good morning from grey East Yorkshire.

I don’t have many plans today apart from meeting ds and family for coffee maybe lunch later. Dgs is going for a haircut ready for school next week and I am meeting them after. As I said to dh last night the little one will want to come home with me after - he always does so that might be my afternoon sorted!

Have a good day all. Take care.

hollysteers Fri 03-Sept-21 07:42:19

Good morning Mick and all from Cloudy Chambers Lancashire coast.
Off to art group soon and realising next week is all go. My sister and her friend coming up from the south, plus daughter moving house, travelling up to store some furniture here, returning home then coming back, my folk club meeting and a night out with old work colleagues, all happening at the same time, I’d better get organised.
The good side is I have made the house more presentable (on the surface).
I’m sorry your show is postponed Mick. Life is so uncertain at the moment, we can’t be sure of anything (except taxes?)
Thinking of those with any worries.

ginny Fri 03-Sept-21 07:45:19

Good morning. No point
in mentioning the weather, nothing different.
Lovely day yesterday at the coast , even if a bit chilly.
I’m out with Dd3 , DGSs2 &3 and a little friend of theirs at a nearby country park. We will brave a picnic.
A few jobs to do before I go. So, must finish my cup of tea, kindly made by DH before he went off tho golf and get in with them.
Wishing all a smile in your day.

monk08 Fri 03-Sept-21 07:46:26

Good morning all from the Black country. Another dull start to the day, it will brighten later DS bringing the boys for lunch. Didn't see them last week DS had a works conference and its always a family affair they all go. Have got them some new Lego.
Friends coming this evening so will go to club for a couple of hours.
Best wishes to anyone celebrating, and virtual hugs for those feeling down.
Enjoy your day and may you all find some ?.

cornergran Fri 03-Sept-21 07:46:46

Morning Mick, morning All. Lighter cloud cover over our corner of Somerset, a more hopeful feel to the day.

Enjoyed our shopping trip yesterday but goodness, was I tired. Fast asleep on the sofa then in bed at 9.30pm, unheard of. Bits and bobs today. Half an hour needed in the garden, laundry to do and a bed change in the guest room (well, my dumping ground) while we wait for Medequip to turn up and collect aids from our deceased neighbours home. Helping the family by overseeing the collection. A large suitcase and contents to take to the Samaritans charity shop, you never know may even see the beach at some point.

Enjoy Wells nankate, we love it there, planning a December visit. Hope for a reduced pain day in France ash, having hsd spinal spasms I know how much they hurt. Have fun with the family grandMattie, it seems I’m not the only one finding shopping exhausting.

Good wishes to all, apologies for missing significant days. Hope Friday is kind to us all.

Urmstongran Fri 03-Sept-21 07:49:50

‘Oh what a beautiful morning, oh what a beautiful day! ..l ? ?

Good morning everyone from Malaga where it’s another gorgeous day. We have a forecast of 31°C, sunny with a gentle breeze.

We are off to Fuengirola getting the Renfe train from across the road. I want to get off at Los Boliches and stroll up as we passed an optician’s there the last time we went and a pair of large pink Gucci sunglasses have stayed on my mind ...
?

Lunch at Casa Colón in the square I think. I love their menu which has a contemporary twist. So many delicious choices!
Another ‘no cooking day’.
#lazygran

Enjoy Friday all who can.

brook2704 Fri 03-Sept-21 07:51:05

Good morning everyone from Cambridge where it’s a bit grey but definitely forecast to be warming up later.
Yesterday I had a lovely day with youngest DGS, he wanted to go on a bus so we went into town and did a bit of shopping then over to the botanical gardens for a run around and some lunch. Not sure what we’re doing yet today but I’m looking forward to it already
A lovely story about the wedding GM and hope all goes well for your niece Gingster
Sounds full on next week Holly enjoy!
Hope everyone finds something to enjoy today and take care all whatever the day brings ?

Sar53 Fri 03-Sept-21 08:02:39

Good morning from Essex by the sea. It's cloudy at the moment but apparently we are due some nice weather for the next few days.

DH at his boat again today. I have admin, washing and some cleaning to do.

Enjoy Friday everyone xx

Pittcity Fri 03-Sept-21 08:06:01

Good morning from a grey skied Colchester. No rain forecast so washing can go out.
The shed is finished apart from another coat of paint. My garden now looks tidy !!!

Having my 5 yearly health check via phone today. So I have lost weight and have the measurements of a supermodel.......????!!!!

Will pop into town later for a few bits and something for tea as DS came home in the wee small hours and will need feeding.

Gingster if you report your test result to the gov.uk website on the instructions, you get confirmation that you can show.
I would think that this is open to abuse and maybe a photo or video would be better. My cousin took the test while being watched over video link when using a private testing company recently.

Love to all x

harrigran Fri 03-Sept-21 08:19:34

Good morning from a grey NE.
DD will visit this afternoon, I sent SIL a shopping list for Aldi so that he could be out of the house while DD has video meetings.
I was amazed to see photos of our local theatre last night, there were no empty seats and only a handful of people wearing masks. It was a copy cat act and the audience were on their feet and singing along, surely not a good idea.
Sending special thoughts for Georgesgran, I did not get to read the whole thread yesterday flowers
Belated anniversary greetings to Auntieflo flowers

baubles Fri 03-Sept-21 08:19:53

Good morning Mick, morning all from cool and cloudy South Lanarkshire.

Ash I’m sorry to hear that your SH is still in so much pain.

Charity shop day, I hope they are pulling out all the stops to get us a new manager so that we can stay open.

Sending best wishes to all especially those with sadness, illness or worries.

Nannytopsy Fri 03-Sept-21 08:20:13

Good morning Mick and all his followers. Cloudy here in Suffolk too but some improvement is forecast.?
Those of us in the south and east seem to be here first this morning - where are all our Scottish grans?
DD arriving this evening, to lend us the granddog again, so it’s the cattery again for the poor old cat.
I hope the day is kind to everyone.

Nannytopsy Fri 03-Sept-21 08:22:45

Morning Baubles - someone is awake in Scotland!
