Good Morning Everyone,
Its dry at the moment, but looks like it could turn into a nice sunny day here in brackley.
My usual routine for a Saturday , bus to Buckingham ,and then Bicester , before returning to Buckingham to visit the lea market ,and also hoping my favourite cafe is open today .
Take care,
Mick

Good morning Mick, morning all from South Lanarkshire where the sun is peeping through the clouds.

Tidying up the garden is my main task of the day, some of the baskets are beginning to look a little bedraggled. Later I’ll take a walk with the dog to collect some honey which I’ve ordered from a local beekeeper then home to finish my book.

At some point I’ll have to think about food but sometimes I honestly can’t be bothered with the whole plan, shop, cook, eat cycle.

Wishing everyone a peaceful day with as few worries as possible.

Good morning everyone. Hello Neen. Grey and dry here which is good enough for me. Going to my allotment to pull up the garlic and harvest the nasturtium seeds. Stripped bedlinen and scootling around getting house ready for DD2 to arrive tonight. So excited at thought of seeing her. Wishing all of you a peaceful Saturday.

Good morning Mick and all from a dull Lancashire coast.
Plan today is to drive 20 miles and join DS who has organised a memory party in the garden of the flats he lives in for a recently departed neighbour.
Lots of washing on the go as the beds for my visitors next week have been changed, it’s a pity it’s not a sunny breezy day.
Lovely day yesterday with art group and I painted a sunflower. It shows how we really don’t look properly at something, as when it comes to drawing and painting it, all the fine details spring out. Then a nice lunch with fellow artists, food shopping and a long walk back to the car as I park it a little out of town so no parking fee and the walk is good for me.
Hope Ash’s DH is not in so much pain and thoughts to anyone with worries.

Thinking of Iris GM and hope all went well with not too much discomfort.

Good morning everyone from a grey Northampton; was like this yesterday morning, and then we had glorious ?shine in the afternoon. I spent the afternoon in the garden weeding and cutting back some overgrown shrubs. Shall be cutting the back grass after lunch today. Then may start my new book.

Can't move at the moment as I have the usual cat on my knee having her morning cuddle - she is a creature of habit. I have just found a knitting pattern for a cat cushion, so shall be making one with my cats' colours; they are cream with brown points and blue eyes. At the moment I am two thirds of the way through making a wrap for the colder winter evenings.

But first I have the Saturday crosswords to attempt. So I will wish all lovely weekend. So wish I was where you are Urmston, enjoying the sun and ambience of southern Spain! I just fancy sitting in the sunshine and enjoying lunch.....

A warm welcome to Neen.

Good morning all, and welcome to the new GM’s.

Yet another dull, grey start to the day in South Yorkshire, although it remains dry for now.

Poor Iris, she’s a brave little girl, grandMattie, you must be so proud of her.

Not a lot on the agenda today, though I might have a run out to a local garden centre which has had a refurb and is so much better now. I love browsing in these places. The trouble is, I rarely leave empty handed ?.

I hope you can all enjoy a decent day. Take care. ?

Good morning from Morecambe Bay where it’s cloudy again. We are off to look after GD this weekend. It was her birthday earlier in the week. We have been warned we will be making slime!
Take care everyone and stay safe ?

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. Will South Yorkshire ever shed this pall of grey? A late one for me - after all the early mornings, we slept on this morning. We get a weekend off from the decorators but they will be back on Monday. The smell of the paint is rather overwhelming, so windows open today in spite of the chill! Making elderberry cordial today. Boeuf Stroganoff for dinner. Welcome to all new posters, and ? for those struggling today.

Good morning Mick and all from overcast, still and dry Anglesey.
Welcome Neen, nice to meet you.
How about showing us your sunflower painting Hollysteers, I’ve enjoyed looking at your artwork in the past, I love your style.
❤️ For brave little Iris gMattie, what a girl.
Keep sharing that sunshine Urms, at least until we get some of our own. Where is Dustyangel keeping all that Portuguese warmth to herself.
One more day to freedom Scentia, hope you and Gwen are feeling fine again.
Have a good day all ?

Good Morning all from cloudy Harrogate.
Welcome Neen and Lightfoot you will enjoy this thread.
Today is my last day of incarceration. This version of COVID has not been as bad as I'd feared, I', still coughing, but have been told that could last for weeks!! How are you Scentia - looking forward to freedom?
Probably do a bit more sewing today, although DH will do a lot more watching TV, he's learned to his dismay our tv transmitter is going to be 'out' for quite a while yet, so he will have to make do with Netflix and Amazon Prime and Yorkshire terrestrial TV. Poor soul!!
I was thinking of Iris, GrandMattie she is going through a lot for such a little girl, but it will be worth while.
Have a good day folks

Good morning all from a dull, grey but still dry Welwyn, Herts. Am hoping it stays dry as the washing us on the line and it would be good to even get it even tt partially dry.
Today is more of the same, shopping and cooking later.
Am hoping to bake a cake for DS2 whose birthday is Monday but we'll celebrate tomorrow.
Hope you all have a good weekend and take care those who aren't feeling well.

Good morning Mick and all. It’s cool, grey and cloudy again here in Lancashire. We are promised sunny intervals this afternoon, no rain forecast. Temperature currently 15 deg C.

Another day with not much planned, still resting my knee, which is improving slowly. I am hoping to finish a jewellery project today.

Welcome to any new posters. Best wishes to anyone celebrating and virtual hugs to anybody suffering.

Wishing a safe journey to anybody traveling.

Have the best day possible.

Good morning Mick and all his followers. Suffolk is grey now, although it was clear in the night - I saw stars when DD & SiL left for the airport at 3.15! They are in Urm’s part of the world now, to see his parents for the first time in 2 years.
I am sewing name tags in new school uniforms today, ready for school on Monday.
I hope the day is kind to everyone.

Good morning Mick and everyone from cool grey Carlisle. Hello to Neen and Lightweight.
I'm still sorting my upper floor. I decided to swap some furniture around too. The result being that I've upset my back somewhat though a bit of lying on the floor has been helpful.
There was a farmers' market in town today though no farmers in sight, mainly crafts and bakery. Naturally, I patronised the latter! My main reason for going was that the Freegle people had a stall so I took along 2 bags of various bits of kitchenware that I no longer had any use for. I have been giving away, selling and dumping stuff constantly it seems for the last year and still I feel I have too much.
My missing crown is still out, dentists still on holiday and its seemingly not serious enough for their occasional locus, I'm not in pain. I shall try for a new practice on Monday but they all seem to be under pressure.
My DS2 phoned from Sydney yesterday. The government is letting folk out at last so he has booked a flight out already and is arriving for Christmas! We both know that things can change at short notice though so we'll just keep hoping.
Well, everyone have a good day with a bit of sun hopefully.

Scentia Sat 04-Sept-21 11:19:19

Good Morning all from East Staffordshire where the sun is peeping out☀️
Last day of isolation and I am downstairs with DH I also slept in our bed last night. My life is getting back to normal, you don’t realise what you have until it is taken away from you.
Lots of tidying to to in the spare room I have been living in for 10 days and sheets to wash and dry.
My life is back❤️❤️

Nannytopsy Sat 04-Sept-21 11:35:36

Huzzah Scentia!

dragonfly46 Sat 04-Sept-21 12:12:29
