Good Morning Everyone,
Its dark but windy here in Brackley this morning , its also looking like the seasonal change as started to happen .
Today , I apart from an early shop , I have had thoughts on a bus trip to Bicester , and go to the local Fish & Chippy on return .
Mind you one task early is to change the page on the calendar.
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning everyone.
Back home after a lovely short break and the weather has certainly changed. I’m hoping I can still have a walk with DGS 2 in his pram whilst his Mummy attends an appointment .
We should have been having 5 yr old DGS for a sleepover tonight but a child in his class has tested positive for Covid so although he is fine DD feels it would be better to postpone to be on the safe side.
So a fairly quiet weekend to come but hopefully I’ll get some crafting done and get nearer to finishing a crochet blanket so I can start a Christmas one.
Thoughts and? to all who need them and a smile along the way.

Good morning from a blustery Essex by the sea, Autumn has definitely arrived.
Dh has an opticians appointment this morning, his sight has deteriorated quite badly over the last few months.
I'm glad you are back in the UK safely Ash and I hope you have a better day GM, enjoy your massage.
Best wishes to everyone and have a pleasant Friday xx

Morning Mick, morning All. A grey and blustery start to our corner of Somerset

Nothing planned for us today other than Mr C has a phone appointment with his GP of choice. I’ll potter around, getting back to some sense of normality now.

What a day mattie, your plumber must have been a welcome sight. A difficult situation fairview, wishing you both well. Pleased you made it safely across stormy waters ash, good news about your daughters arrival harri

Take care everyone. Hope Friday is kind to us all.

Good morning Mick, morning all from rainy South Lanarkshire.

I had very disturbing dreams last night, the resulting feelings of dread can take a while to shake off.

A shorter shift at the charity shop today as I’d agreed to do the school run for DD before I knew it would be open this week.

Thinking of those with worries and sadness to bear especially Mattie and Harri flowers

Wishing everyone a peaceful Friday. ??

Good morning Michael and all GNs. A grey, cool start in South Yorkshire but the sun is trying to break through now. Apart from the neck band, I have finally finished the sweater I was knitting. Not a moment too soon I think. Nothing much planned today. I had a lot of pain in my hips yesterday so I’m hoping for a better day today. We need to do a food shop later and I shall make some soup for the freezer.
Maw I hope this will see an end to your pigeon problems!??
Wishing you all a gentle day.

Good Morning Mick and everyone from breezy Carlisle where we have had some really heavy and prolonged showers this morning. Blue skies at the moment but it's unlikely to be a gardening day.
I will be giving the fridge a clean and clear out before a Tesco delivery this afternoon then it's back to the bedside table I have been putting together which is proving a little trickier than I thought it would be.
Ashcombe, you reminded me of some unpleasant crossings to and from Ouistreham in the past, including one where I spent most of the night clinging to the rail of the upper bunk for fear of being thrown out! We switched to the Santander crossing later but the Bay of Biscay is never kind especially in the autumn.
Thinking of all who are struggling and wishing you better days.

Gelisajams Fri 01-Oct-21 09:32:52

Good morning from Morecambe Bay where we are having lots of blustery showers. I’ve been feeling below par since returning from the New Forest. I’m slightly worried I’ve picked up Lyme disease. There’s a strange red circle on my foot. It’s only about a centimetre across and doesn’t hurt or itch. I don’t want to bother the doctor with something so trivial but it’s starting to bother me a bit.
In an attempt to shake myself up I’ve booked an aqua class for later. Hopefully that will reinvigorate me. Kill or cure!
My granddaughter is still still struggling with her arm after her abscess surgery. She’s away now at uni and her new nurse who changes the dressing every couple of days is concerned her wound is infected. Poor girl. Hopefully someone can sort her properly.
Glad you’re back safely Ash Are you compete recovered from your virus?
gM enjoy your pampering session it will do you the world of good.
?for the Harrigran family.
Take care everyone and stay safe ?

farview, you have my sympathy as I start every day with the best of intentions and finish every day feeling guilty about my impatience and lack of kindness. It’s hard to know the person you would like to be and not come close.

Not raining at present but it soon will be. Next door have roofers at work but I don’t think they will be up there for long if the forecast is to be believed. Am awaiting a delivery and then need to do a Tesco run, but nothing else in the diary. Need to book us flu jabs but think I will need to go in person to make the booking as the automated system won’t let me book us in together. Information on boosters not yet available from the surgery and again I need to book us in together. Nothing in life feels simple, though not in the same league as Grandmattie. Glad to know that Ash is safely back on dry land and hoping Susan feels better soon.

Good morning all from the Black country nice and sunny at moment.
Haven't read through yet slept in, awake in the night with sciatica took a long time to get back to sleep.
Ash I see you are back in the country safe journey rest of way home.
grandMattie enjoy the massage.
Welcome any newbies, best wishes for anyone celebrating and virtual hugs where needed.
Enjoy your day and may you all find some ?.

Gelisajams I’d be notifying my Dr speedy quick. If it is Lyme disease, you could be ‘bothering’ them more if it’s undiagnosed.

Gwenisgreat1 Fri 01-Oct-21 10:16:29

Good Morning all from bright and breezy Harrogate
What a lovely gift GrandMattie ease your stresses away - Enjoy!
I meant to say, on Wednesday we had a brief shop at Morrisons, and the petrol court was deserted! Decided to put some juice in the car, expecting to be turned away, but everything was OK!! Nice surprise!
We have to go into town today to get a Birthday pressie for SIL. Have decided to get him a sweater from M&S then he can change it for what he wants!
Good to hear you made a safe crossing Ashcombe Hope it wont be too long before you are re-united again.
GrandMattie and Harrigran hope you both enjoy the support you will get from your daughters.
Have the best day possible, folks!

Good morning Mick and all from a cold and blustery Anglesey.
Good advice Farview from GrannySomerset, who is amazing, soldiering on. You can only do your best and we all often wish we were the person we want to be but fall short. We’re only human after all.
I do hope that massage does you a power of good grandMattie, what a lovely thoughtful daughter you have.
Oh Harrigran what can I say, you’re travelling a sad and difficult path, I’m glad your daughter is going to be with you for support and comfort.
Gelisajams, go and get checked out right away.
Birthday wishes to all the relatives and friends and to Mrs May if she’s reading.
Hope there’s a random pink flamingo for everyone no matter how fleeting, just take a moment to smile when it arrives.
?

Good afternoon, again, Mick, Annie and Marydoll, if she pops in these days.

I'm glad you are getting rid of your pigeons*Maw*. We had ours evicted a week or so ago, and for several days they kept perching on the roof looking for a way back in, but have given up now. As you say they are the messiest of creatures, with their droppings, twigs and egg shells.
Harrigran I hope you are managing to get some support , and also GrandMattie, you have certainly had a run of bad luck. Nice that you have a local plumber to sort you out quickly.
Our TV unit was delivered yesterday, and unfortunately there was a bit of damage to the inside of the shelf compartment. The company does not take phone calls, and it was a while before we found a web address and had a "Live Chat" with someone. After a bit of argy bargy, we have agreed a discount, and await return of funds to the bank. Nothing simple is there?

I have to take DH to town soon for his volunteering, and I shall mooch around a few shops, then think of what to eat tonight.
Have a good day one and all.
