So before setting off on today’s hike, I have applied a full face of make up.
Husband waiting impatiently as we should have left ages ago.
My excuse, well you never know who you might meet.

Am I the only one?

Elizabeth27 I always wear makeup ...for me.I have self esteem issues that go back to childhood and wearing makeup makes me feel presentable. My husband tells me I'm beautiful, usually when the sun hits my face in bed of a morning and thats lovely BUT I've never believed I was anything near beautiful .My confidence was destroyed by my mother and sister and it sticks with you,So yes I wear makeup for me and feel better for it

I put moisturiser on, and wear lipstick. I really cannot be bothered to do more.
You look good Sago

I've always loved make up but always try and aim for a natural look. Last year I wasnt working due to the pandemic and didnt wear any at all. I have returned to work FT now and wear it every day. I keep it simple a good tinted bb cream. Blusher. I long lasting lipstick, a little eyeliner beneath my eyes and a tubular mascara which is the only one I have found that never gives me panda eyes! I did find it odd wearing make up after so long and found my skin had changed slightly in tone and texture. Although not particularly dry I find powder based products less flattering.
For me it's about looking smart and professional but natural. I dont wear make up on day off and quite happy to leave the house without any

Thank you Marydoll
It should have been a day case but there’s a complication or two and I’m still here .

I know what you mean about the braswink

Yes I think you do wear make up for yourself it is like a mask for some. I hate anyone I know with make up, see me without. The surprise on their faces does nothing for my self confidence.
