Good Morning Everyone,
Its dark ,but dry and cold looking outside this morning.
Today , I plan to put the silk flowers on parents graves for the winter period plus small tidy up using the bus of course .
Then a easy day indoors for the rest of the day .
Take care,
Mick

Good morning Mick, Annie and all. It is bright and cold here, and we have just had a couple of pieces of furniture collected, by British Heart Foundation. Much nicer than just sending it to landfill. The driver was earlier than I expected, as he could have arrived any time up until 3 pm.
Yesterday DH had a vertigo attack, during the night, and last night I felt very nauseous and had leg / hip pains. So a very lazy day in front of me.
My treatment has been going well, so I hope this is not a hiccup

Best wishes to all who have problems and have a good day one and all.

So pleased to hear from you, Auntieflo. I was a bit worried about you.
Interesting that BHF were interested in your furniture. When we emptied Philip’s house, none of the charities was interested in his furniture. We finally found a lovely young man who was going to sort it out for us.
Sorry about the nausea and vertigo respectively. Both are horrid. I think you both deserve a quiet day, pain-free if possible. Carpe diem, my dear! ☀️??☀️

Nearly as bad was when DH took DGD1 (aged about 6) to our local museum She had the class Teddy with her as he had to do an account of his movements while out of school. It was only on the way home that Hattie started to cry and they realised that he was still in the cafe in the museum - which was now closed.

Dh had to go back to the museum on Monday morning and then take Teddy back to school 20 miles away.

Apparently, the class had an entertaining time imagining what Teddy had done all on his own the museum.

Good morning all from W Kent. Off to see the earwax removal man, hearing just getting worse, apparently missing all kinds of interesting conversations. Good wishes to all.

Good morning Mick and everyone from greyish Carlisle.
The usual housework and laundry day today plus visitors arriving to collect items I have been freegling. Glad when others can make use of things I don't need.
I got out in the garden yesterday afternoon and started turf removal for a shrub border on the other side of the garden. Slowly slowly I am getting there but this morning my body says I have overdone it so gently does it the rest of the day.. Gone are the days when I could work for hours in the garden and not pay for it later.
I do hope that all of you struggling get some help/resolution, my thoughts are with you.

kittylester you gave me an evil laugh?

baubles, I scanned all the ladies of a certain age yesterday trying to see if there was a Gransnet sign flashing above them!
I’ve been meaning to do it for ages so I’ll pm you later to see when we can arrange a wee meet up? And maybe sometime the ‘quads’ might be possible Marydoll!

My friend had the class hamster, which died!! She went everywhere to get one that looked as much like the original as possibly. When she took it back to school, she told the class teacher who said that it was a shame she had bothered because they were all hoping it would die soon as it was such a responsibility.

We had Playgroup's pet mouse over one holiday period.
Last spotted dangling from the jaws of the family cat...

I received a very similar response from the Playgroup leader, who looked in horror when I proposed to buy a replacement!

Good morning from a bright and reasonably mild South Yorkshire.

I’ve had the washing machine on full pelt as I’ve got quite a bit of washing after being away last week. We went to Stratford. It was a lovely, relaxing break. We managed to fit in a theatre visit to see a new musical called The Magician’s Elephant, which was excellent. If any of you have seen the puppet used in War Horse, the same idea was used for the elephant puppet. Then we went up to Harrogate at the weekend to see Jools Holland and his band. They wouldn’t let anyone in who couldn’t show proof of being double vaccinated, which was reassuring. It was so good to be able to go to live shows again. Lulu was on with him this time, but I was quite disappointed that she only sang 3 songs in the middle of the show and didn’t appear at the end for a final bow with all the other artists. Maybe she had to rush off somewhere else for the next day? I knew she was petite, but didn’t realise just how tiny she is.

Some of the band were staying at the same hotel as us as they appeared for breakfast.

Back to earth now, though, and catch up with the chores.

I hope you all have the best day you can.

Good morning. It is a gorgeous sunny day here on the rive Lark. I am going to cut and split some logs for my multifuel burner. Maybe some sewing this afternoon. I am ignoring the cleaning that needs doing...hahaha Hope you all have a lovely day smile

How awful Monk, glad he was caught but, as you say, that changes nothing for the poor family.
Sorry you’re still achy Harris, must have been quite a fall.
What an exciting time you’ve had Mapleleaf.
Tickle Cottage all tidy again ready for next time, tomorrow if we’re lucky.

Pantglas2 it gets even better - I discovered a very close school friend on here Marydoll ! She worked out from my username who I might be. Spooky!

Pantglas2 Mon 08-Nov-21 13:38:44

Just caught up with all your bizzinesses and how lovely to read all the Scottish pairings - I know here in Wales we have Anniebach and Cherry, Callistemon and Casdon, possibly more, and AGA and I are on the mainland across the water from Polly - all quite cosy!

Always feel close to Urmstongran when in Spain as I’m only 45 minutes away from her on the coast - whenever we go on the beach at Carihuela, I wonder if she’s lunching with her ladies ??

Hope you’re on the mend Harris - I tripped a few weeks ago and am still not right, that’ll learn me ?

Shame no occasion worthy of ? - it can stay on ice?

Marydoll Mon 08-Nov-21 13:45:51

Oh Borrheid, I have missed you! I am going to the hairdressers on Wednesady, where I shall get news of your mum.
I hope you are well!

So many poorly grans and grans with poorly families today, I thought I’d send my best wishes to you all and hope you and your families get well soon. ?

Thinking of you harri, I know from experience that some men just feel better handling everything themselves so don’t feel bad about it. Good news that your DD is hoping to move nearer you. smile
