Good Morning Everyone,
Its dark ,but dry and cold looking outside this morning.
Today , I plan to put the silk flowers on parents graves for the winter period plus small tidy up using the bus of course .
Then a easy day indoors for the rest of the day .
Take care,
Mick

Good morning from a dry E Kent. The light is just starting to show on the eastern horizon.
GDS’s Nan was jealous of the other bags I’d made and asked for one too. So I made her one which I’ll be posting later today.
Probably just cleaning today. Last night’s leftovers for dinner tonight. BTW Urms, I don’t like breast meat at all, preferring thighs. But a whole roast chicken is a lot nicer than just thee separate parts..
May today bring relief and a little joy to everyone l Carpe diem. ????

grandMattie Mon 08-Nov-21 06:08:56

Forgot. Sunday school went really well yesterday, thank you. ☀️

Pantglas2 Mon 08-Nov-21 06:15:38

Morning Mick and all to come - me and my chamberpot ☕️ are on parade in lovely north Wales ???????!

Spotted yesterday that Stilllearning and Grannmarie are in the same county and wonder if there are any other ‘pairs’? Or even triplets?? What are the odds on you passing each other in town without knowing.....?

Anyway.....not a lot going on at Pantglas Towers although some mince pies might magic themselves into the cake tin by this evening- Himself thinks the fairy who does the baking is still on furlough.....?‍♀️?‍?

Will pop along later to see if there’s any birthdays, anniversaries that need me to open some ? - I’d have to sample it of course.....in case it’d gone off!?

Scentia Mon 08-Nov-21 06:22:53

Good Morning all from East Staffordshire where it is chilly ?
Off to work shortly where is is getting busy again so I will need to put in a full day!
I intend to chase up the developers today to get some dates of when these promises of repairs and work will start! I am sure Brenda will E Mail Frank and ask even though they sit next to each other all day?? (not real names!!)
DD looked a little hungover when I returned DGD yesterday, she is not much of a drinker and a hen weekend was just too much for her ? her wonderful DMiL was there cleaning and putting the boy to bed for her as DSiL had left to travel to Scotland. I left them ordering pizza as I was off to meet DH in a pub to listen to a Spanish guitarist. “Livin’ the life” That’s me.
Take care everyone and stay warm today.xx

Ashcombe Mon 08-Nov-21 06:39:47

Good morning, early birds and those who follow from a chilly, dry Torbay.

I’m glad Sunday School was a success, grandMattie. It was my experience of running such a class as a young mum that led me to leave Secondary teaching and retrain for Primary in 1986, a decision I never regretted!

My booster vaccination is booked for this morning at the English Riviera Centre which has been used for Covid then flu vaccinations throughout this year. I hope to still attend my Move It or Lose It class,

Good luck with your continuing campaign, Scentia!

Wishing you all a good week. ?????

monk08 Mon 08-Nov-21 06:55:05

Good morning all from the Black country. We have the little one to entertain today. DS is at a funeral one of his fellow church members who was killed in a hit and run so tragic.
Had my booster on Saturday went to local walk in.
Best wishes to anyone celebrating, virtual hugs where needed and thinking of missing posters.
Enjoy your day and may you all find some ?

Jaxjacky Mon 08-Nov-21 06:57:35

Good morning Mick and all from a frost in S Hants. Yesterday was quiet, washing and tidying. Today I need to start stripping out the greenhouse, trip to the village butcher for some stewing steak and get that in the slow cooker..
My fringe is lurching down to the annoying stage, so a call to the hairdresser is on my list too.
Have a gentle day all, ??.

Beechnut Mon 08-Nov-21 07:05:30

Good Morning everyone from Severnside. Not quite sunrise but getting there with pink sky.
A lovely bag Mattie.

I’ve some ironing to do, maybe some pottering and I might join you in the greenhouse Jax. Mine wants a clear out too.

Have a good day all ???

Marydoll Mon 08-Nov-21 07:15:17

Good morning all from Glasgow. Its dry outside, so the golfer is quite happy! We have a very dark, atmospheric sky this morning, many shades of dark blue and grey.

Pants, its lovely to see you on the thread again. For your information, Kalu and I are twins, living quite close to each other and hoping to meet up, once I get my life back again!

Yesterday was a lost day, as expected the effects of the vaccinations have hit me hard. I feel pretty grim. However, the good news is, not as grim as the last two, when I had to report to the Vaccine Yellow Card scheme.
I am not complaining, I see a light at the end of the very dark tunnel, which I have been trapped in

Some of my friends don't really understand how vulnerable I am and why I cannot go with them to events like this week's Shoppers's night to raise funds for Dollie's school.
I feel quite sad, that they think I don't want to be out with them. I cover up a lot, as I'm embarrassed at how feeble I am, when I always lived life to the full.
I know from past experience, it will be a melee and there will be no social distancing and little mask wearing.
In the past, I have bought some lovely, unusual Christmas items at them, so I am quite disappointed.

I have no plans for today, but I do have a notion for making salmon fish cakes for dinner. Its a bit of a faff making them, but I shall put a stash in the freezer for DD, who loves them.

I just wanted to say its lovely to see Blossoming back and hope you are feeling refreshed after your break.

Good luck to those who are receiving their boosters today and to anyone struggling, sending virtual hugs your way. ?
Have the best day you can.

harrigran Mon 08-Nov-21 07:27:37

Good morning from a dry and cool NE.
The blustery wind we had yesterday seems to have eased.
DS and DIL brought GDs yesterday and left them with me while they went to view houses. They are looking to move closer to where I live and are looking at new estates. Where they live at present is difficult in winter because of snow.
SIL is returning today to help with sorting paperwork, DH used to sort everything and now I am struggling as I haven't got a clue what I am doing.

Grandmadinosaur Mon 08-Nov-21 07:33:10

Good morning all. It’s a bright morning with a lovely peachy coloured sky. I do love the skies we get at both ends of the day during these winter months.

We had a productive day in the house yesterday. We defrosted the freezer, put the winter bedding on and a few other bits that needed doing. I can now start filling the freezer for Christmas. I also managed to book my booster jab for tomorrow.

Take care everyone.

kittylester Mon 08-Nov-21 07:37:15

Good morning all from a bright North Leicestershire.

I have ironing to do today and a trip to the fish man in the pub car park is on the cards. I might also go to the market in a different pub car park.

We had a nice get together with the neighbours yesterday.

Gingster Mon 08-Nov-21 07:42:20

Good morning all and it’s bright here in Essex.

Yesterday I felt a bit washed out after having the Booster on Saturday. Dh says ‘it’s all in the mind’. Could be right ?

Today I have my ‘Chimes’ group. We will be rehearsing now for the Christmas concert.

I might make a ham and mushroom pie with the left over gammon . I’m trying to avoid too much pastry (although we love it). DIL told me to use filo pastry instead of flaky . A good idea!

I must go to the bank to alter the date for a direct debit. Hope it’s not too much of a faff. After that I will pop into a dentist to book a private consultation. Two broken teeth and a clean up required. ?

Hope everyone has a pleasant day. ?

Grandmajean Mon 08-Nov-21 07:56:35

Good morning from Cheshire.
How lovely for you harrigran to hopefully have family moving closer.
Out for a pub meal locally today with friends. First meal out 21 months !
Have a good day everyone.

Susan56 Mon 08-Nov-21 07:58:37

Good morning from Staffordshire. An awful start to the journey over here today although better once on the motorway, it’s normally the other way round.DH slept through all my stress!

DGS started nursery school last week and has had the class bear which has to be returned tomorrow. The bear has to have adventures which we are to photograph. We will possibly take B and bear to Shugborough although B says he would like an at home day!

Feel like I have done a days work already?

Have the best day you can everyone??

Stilllearning Mon 08-Nov-21 07:59:41

Morning from a grey S Lanarkshire, dry at the moment but rain promised.

Back home after a lovely stay with DD2 and family. Thanks for getting back baubles (I looked earlier), I eventually discovered your parish’s very smart new website and made it to 11 o’clock!

Childminding again this afternoon after school and staying over till the morning, as it’s dark now early and my days of driving then are, sadly, over. I am looking forward to hearing the result of DGS’s first piano lesson, I think he has to practice middle C ?

Before that, washing, a bit of tidying and ordering some Christmas gifts online. I have managed the ‘worst’ bit and made a list!

Glad you didn’t have such a bad reaction this time Marydoll and wishing everyone a good day???

ginny Mon 08-Nov-21 08:00:53

Good morning from N. Bucks where the sky from my window is half grey and the other half much brighter. I wonder which will win.
DH golfing today and an ‘at home for me. Visitors tomorrow, so cleaning and food prep.
A good day with some smiles are wished for all.

Pittcity Mon 08-Nov-21 08:01:23

Good morning from sunny Colchester. A dry day in double figures is forecast, so the washing machine is on.
We're finishing the decoration of the lounge today. One wall to go.
Love to all ?x

AGAA4 Mon 08-Nov-21 08:04:27

Good morning everyone from North Wales.
Thank you to Polly for her weather forecasts. They are far more accurate than the BBC. I got caught in a heavy shower on my walk last week not forecast by them.
I was not feeling very well yesterday and wondered if I was coming down with the cold my D and GS had while I was there. I am fine today so just one of those odd days when you don't feel right for no reason.
Thoughts for all who are not well or struggling today. ?

brook2704 Mon 08-Nov-21 08:04:54

Good morning everyone from Inverness where it’s bright and dry just now but rain forecast for later
Such a sad for your DS today monk how tragic
Today I’m off for a splash around at the Aqua class as the gym. It’s at the local retail park so after the class my friend and I will go across the car park to Starbucks for a coffee and then maybe a bit of shopping too.
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings ?

Sar53 Mon 08-Nov-21 08:10:30

Good morning from a lovely bright and sunny Essex by the sea.
DH is off to the boatyard shortly, I have housework and washing on the agenda.
This evening I am going to see the Australian Pink Floyd at our local theatre. This show was postponed from last year so I am really looking forward to going. DH will drive me there and come and pick me up afterwards. Rock music is not his thing but has always been mine.
My covid family are almost back to normal, the eldest two girls are back at school today and my daughter is allowed out. The youngest can go back on Thursday. My SIl is quite unwell but as he works from home this is not too much of a problem.
Have a lovely Monday everyone xxx

dragonfly46 Mon 08-Nov-21 08:11:10

Good morning from a brightish Leicestershire.

Just dog walking today.
I won (again) at Scrabble yesterday - they are threatening to stop inviting me!

Pleased Sunday School went well yesterday GrandMattie. I used to love going as a child.
I hope your mild reaction continues Marydoll. I have had delayed reactions to all my jabs and then the dreaded cold on top!
Wishing you all a good day.

Ashcombe Mon 08-Nov-21 08:13:18

Lovely to have your family planning to be closer, harrigran and to know help is there for you with admin which will be a relief, I’m sure.

Susan56: I hope you can visit Shugborough today. olddudders and I have happy memories of visiting there when I lived nearby and we each have paintings of it in our respective homes. I met the late Earl, Patrick Lichfield, a few times and he was charming, being involved in village life when he had time. His ancestors had connections with Anson Primary School, attended by my children. ?

Stilllearning Mon 08-Nov-21 08:22:23

Pantglas, I meant to say: North and South Lanarkshire are actually two different although adjoining counties, but baubles and I are SL twins and I think Grannmarie has a twin in NLwho hasn’t posted for awhile!
