Good Morning Everyone,
Its dark and the ground outside is wet at the moment .
Yesterday , things seem to happen to me in quick session , I payed my visit to the cemetery, no sooner had I got back thinking it was being done today , the person came and fitted the blinds in my kitchen window , and in the afternoon I had an email asking me to book an appointment for my booster jab , which in this case will be next week and will have a need to bus it to Bicester to get it done .
Anyway , today apart from 2 minutes silence at 11 this morning , I will get the bus to Bicester just after to do usual routine .
Take Care,
Mick

Morning all

Still dark outside, couldn’t sleep so now really really tired.
Keep safe and well folks ?‍♀️?

grandMattie Thu 11-Nov-21 06:10:42

Good morning from a dark E Kent.
Goodness, Mick, you did have a busy day. I hope the blinds are successful.
We had some furniture from Philip’s house collected by courier for DD. The garage is slowly emptying.
Spanish this morning. We’re discussing food and the use of the imperative for recipes!
Sad because Philip’s lovely ex-girlfriend was coming to dinner tonight but is now isolating as one of her colleagues has tested +ve for CV19.
Have a quiet day, no unexpected stuff. Carpe diem. ????☀️☀️?☀️?☀️

Morning and all to follow from a dark and dry north Wales - hope it stays that way as I’ve bedding to change after a few more emptyings of the chamberpot ☕️?

A lunch at a lovely Greek restaurant in Llandudno (Gwen’s holiday retreat!) with DD & SIL beckons - I’m hoping Lamb Kleftiko will be on the menu?

Thinking about Gwen holidaying in Llandudno, DH and I spent a summer mid week break in Harrogate - ‘twas marvellous, we should’ve done a swap! Mind, I’d have been mortified if she’d not loved my little seaside shack!

Thoughts with GG who seems to be having a tough time with family unwellness at the moment - and ? for those who’ve been through the mill recently....better times ahead x

We have Henry today and will take him to toddler group this morning.School pick up at 3.DGD had a really good report at parents evening this week so she will be excited to find a small prize on her car seat when she gets in the car?

GG, sorry you had a bad night, you have such a lot going on at the moment?

Scentia Thu 11-Nov-21 06:24:45

Good Morning all from East Staffordshire where it is still dark and feels mild.
GG so sorry you are having a tough time, look after yourself ❤️
Nanna duties today and it is a full day of both children as they have conjunctivitis and can’t go to nursery or activities.
We have an appointment at dreams this evening to have a go on their mattress scanner!
Take care everyone, rest if you need to and smile if you can☺️

Good morning from dark Leicestershire.

Dog walking and Tai Chi today.

So much on your mind GG. I hope things resolve positively soon.
Wishing everyone a good day.

Greyduster Thu 11-Nov-21 06:45:49

Good morning Michael and all GNs. It’s still dark here but will be a dry day, I think. DH haS an early hospital appointment this morning so we are up and about already. I’ll read all when we get back.
Have a good day folks.

baubles Thu 11-Nov-21 06:47:14

Good morning Mick, morning all from South Lanarkshire where it’s still too dark to know what the weather is doing.

I felt no after effects from my booster and flu vaccinations yesterday but I’ve woken up with slightly achy arms. Here’s hoping that’s the only reaction as it’s childminding day so we are off to the capital later. I’ve made a huge pot of chilli and will take most of it for DS and family’s dinner and we will have ours when we get home.

Wishing everyone a peaceful day.

baubles Thu 11-Nov-21 06:49:42

Sorry you had a bad night GG, perhaps you could try to have a nap later or at least close your eyes for a while.

kittylester Thu 11-Nov-21 06:59:34

Good morning all from a slightly lighter North Leicestershire.

Yesterday's Carer's course went well and today we have a dementia cafe. There is a complication in that there is a street fair all over town so a lot of car parks are closed.

I have an optician's appointment this afternoon in a nearby village and then a Sainsbury's delivery.

BlueBalou Thu 11-Nov-21 07:05:10

Good morning everyone. Really not sure what I’m doing today other than trying to find something to sooth my awful cough. I have ordered a PCR test online but I suspect it’s thanks to DH coughing and spluttering everywhere last week ?
I really need to get my head around decluttering before we sell the house and move too!

Jaxjacky Thu 11-Nov-21 07:09:50

Good morning from a foggy S Hants. A disturbed night, my FIL was taken into hospital a couple of days ago, confirmed sepsis. He seemed to be rallying but is now on end of life care. A lovely, lovely man.
A few chasing phone calls today, some from my voluntary day yesterday, some for non delivered goods.
GG13 ?
Have a good day all ??

Sar53 Thu 11-Nov-21 07:17:31

Good morning from a damp but mild Essex by the sea.
Not a lot going on here apart from food shopping and the search for a slim Christmas tree.
Thinking of you GG ?.
Have a lovely Thursday everyone xx

brook2704 Thu 11-Nov-21 07:18:44

Good morning everyone from Inverness where it’s still dark but dry
So sorry to hear the news about your FiL Jax sending ?
A tough time GG13 sorry to heat you’ve had a restless night and hope you can take it easy a bit today
I’ve nothing planned today as yesterday I had a small op at the eye clinic so I’m staying home resting for a few days. Lots of sorting out cupboards to do and I think I’ll try to find a good film to watch on tv later
Hope you feel a bit better soon Blue
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings ?

Gingster Thu 11-Nov-21 07:28:29

Good morning all and it’s a bit Misty here in Essex.

Had a good day yesterday . I met DD and we walked up to town where it was market day. Did lots of shopping and got it all in my trust trolley. It’s like Mary Poppins bag. ?. Skate from the fish man was delish!
I always make up a xmas stocking for each of my 8 grandchildren. Aged 19 down to 6) Just silly bits and bobs but they enjoy seeing what they have and looking at what the others have. I wrap every gift and they have a dozen or so in each stocking. This is my biggest job for Xmas this year as we are all going to DS1’s for Boxing Day. What fun! ?

Today I have bowls this morning and art club this afternoon.

GG take it easy and rest up. ?.

Hoping all poorly grans feel a bit better today .

Take care ????

Good morning all from a cloudy Glasgow. So much sad news today.

Best wishes to GG and Jaxjacky, their families and other on here with worries..

My visit to the hairdresser was a bit stressful, with me turning up over an hour early, much to my embarrassment and hilarity..
The ladies huckled me out of the door, as they said it was too risky for me to be in such crowded salon.
DS1 lives five minutes away, so I decided to take a chance and visit him, as I couldn't face negotiating all the school traffic, instead of going back home.

It was the first time I have been alone with him since he estranged himself and he asked if he could talk to me, before DIL and Dollie came back from school.
I went home with a much lighter heart. I never thought this day would come. It has taken a long and painful journey to get there, but I was determined not to give up.?

We are off to LIDL, to try and get an outdoor projector from the middle aisle. After much huffing and puffing, Mr MDoll has agreed to accompany me and unknown yet to him, a visit to Dunelm along the road from it, is planned.
I having been struggling a bit at the moment, so need a pal with me, even pushing the trolley leaves me exhausted!

Thinking of Soop and her long drive down to Glasgow. Hoping for a very successful outcome.?

Grandmajean Thu 11-Nov-21 07:50:16

Morning all
"Misty. Moisty morning " as the poem says. Nothing specific planned but may do a mini food shop in M and S in a town about 20 miles away. We lost our local M and S two years ago and , though I've adjusted , I still like the occasional trip there for food treats for the freezer.
My thoughts are with GrannyGravy and Jaxjacky
Hope the day brings some sunshine to all.

Grandmadinosaur Thu 11-Nov-21 07:51:32

Good morning all. It’s another damp start.

Yesterday I felt ok when I first got up but during the day I had a few symptoms of a reaction to my booster jab. Just felt a bit tired and achy. I came to bed early and have had a good nights sleep. I feel better for that but still feel a bit weak still. I’ll take paracetamol and see how it goes.
This afternoon I am due to go to our local theatre to see Chicago. My ds got me the tickets for my birthday. It’s a show I’ve seen a couple of times and us one of my favourites. I hope I am up to going.

Jaxjacky such sad news for your family. Thinking of you.
GG I hope you can rest up today. Take care ?

Take care.

Beechnut Thu 11-Nov-21 07:51:45

Good Morning from a damp grey miserable looking Severnside. The only good thing is Beechnutella stayed over last night and I was able to talk to someone ?. She is getting ready for work now.

Not sure what I will do today so I expect I’ll take it as it comes.
Take care all and GGand Jax ??
???

Ashcombe Thu 11-Nov-21 07:55:03

Good morning, everyone! A stunning sunrise here heralding a better day than the cloudy forecast had suggested for Torbay.

Kind thoughts to those grans who are less than well or not sleeping soundly. It seems as if many folk suffer more after effects from the booster vaccination but that these are relatively short lived. Some say it’s a sign your body has a good immune response.

Today being Armistice Day will be a jour ferié in France with various ceremonies to mark the occasion. Here of course there will be more acknowledgment of this on Sunday.

May our friends with worries, especially GrannyGravy13 and Jaxjacky find comfort today. ?????

dragonfly46 Thu 11-Nov-21 07:58:57

Jax flowers.

Gwenisgreat1 Thu 11-Nov-21 08:02:42

Good morning all from pink skies of Harrogate
Sounds like a great idea Pantglas there is a Greek restaurant quite near the flat we rent? But you possibly wouldn’t like our modest hut!
Today I have to have some blood tests to find out why my breathing is so ropey, so a trip to the hospital is called for.
Gg13 take it easy today and try to have a nap.
Have the best day you can folks!

grandMattie Thu 11-Nov-21 08:05:25

jax ?

Pittcity Thu 11-Nov-21 08:07:46

Good morning from a misty, damp Colchester.
Shopping, ironing and other housework today. Cleaning the lounge now that DH has finished decorating. He'll be in the garage working on the understairs cupboard door which has years of layers of paint to remove.
Jays online quiz with family tonight.

Love to all especially GrannyGravy13 and Jaxjacky xx
