It’s my second week at the gym and I’ve managed to stick to it, even when I’ve been called into work I have gone into the gym before work so that has made me happy..?

We picked all our olives and got back 16 litres of oil!

My 3yr old GD is finally getting the hang of this potty lark! We thought, as DIL works in a nursery with a degree in early years child care, this would be a breeze. Ha!! Not so. So yes, this news has made me very happy! Well it is the little things that make us all smile isn't it ?

My daughter got her decree absolute and my 9 year old grandson's teacher told my daughter she wished she had a class full of Freds (not his real name)

My youngest son has had a really unlucky relationship of a woman who have made him feel worthless and damaged his self esteem to the point he was the most terrible boyfriend when he was absolutely fantastic to her. Even her mother was on his side but she was a woman with a lot of mental health issues so I try not to hold it against her even though it was difficult to watch. My son also finds it difficult that as the youngest of six, he is the only one without a partner.
At his recent Birthday party, a young lady I was talking to seemed really nice and she was saying how she couldn't understand why anybody could think the things this other girl had thought.
We are having a big 25th Anniversary bash and he had no-one to bring. I suggested this girl and after a lot of negativity with why she wouldn't/couldn't come, he sent my message to her (so it wouldn't come directly from him) and she nearly bit his hand off! She is bringing a dish with her from her ethnic background and it has made such a difference to my son's esteem.
This is a first step in his healing and he is taking up counselling so it is all looking better. I can breathe again for a little while.

I lost an earring in our village on Thursday afternoon - usual battle with face mask, glasses and hearing aids! However, some kind soul found it outside our village shop and handed it in. The earrings are not valuable, but I do like them very much, so was upset to find I had only one! Kindness much appreciated, whoever you are!

We had our one-year old grandson for his first sleepover without mummy and daddy. It was bliss ❣️❣️

Jennifer D, what a wonderful story. A selfless deed by your son has led to much joy. Not all heroes wear capes! - or maybe he does, I don't judge...

Thank you so much. We're proud of him; he just feels he's been rewarded handsomely by seeing his recipient well and getting on with life with his family.

Saturday, Saturday made me happy ? I'm covering 2 roles at work plus my personal commitments has meant that all week I've watched my house become progressively more untidy and simply not had time to do anything but the most basic jobs. So fat today I have had a lie in, sorted out all the laundry and started the washing, tidied the lounge and cleaned it,
I'm now cleaning up the entrance hall. I hate cleaning up but strangely hate mess more

Just extended an afternoon tea voucher that had expired over a year ago.
We were given it Christmas 2019 and completely forgot about it.
Typed the code in and were offered an extention until June 2022 because of Covid.
We just thought it would say "Sorry, voucher expired!"

The only downside is that the nearest Patasserie Valerie is over 40 miles away in Exeter and, because it is supposed to be an experience, I don't think we can have the afternoon tea sent to us! smile

Lovely autumn colours and seeing our grandchildren after school. They are 5 and 7 and always make us smile. Also bought 2 lively Joules tops on ebay that together cost less than a full price one.

My Attendance allowance application was accepted and back dated to the date I called for the form to be posted. So happy I can now pay for some much needed help.

Picked up a 7 month lockdown puppy from our local rescue centre. He has loads of energy and is very excitable. But he has a lovely nature and I feel he will be easy to train.

My Grandson's face as he pointed me out to his teacher and said "that's my Grandma" when I went to pick him up from school . Priceless !

Aw how lovely - I had the same experience from my granddaughter - I wish they would stay little forever ?

To be totally honest nothing. Had to see a Consultant with my elderly mother on Monday and as we all in the family suspected she has been told she has Alzheimers and Dementia so not been a good week at all and I have felt very stressed and upset. Mum never said a word and told me today she is capable of making her own decisions and basically the family to back off. There is no answer to this. Sorry this is a negative post Ladies.

My youngest daughter, her husband and three DGC came to visit. So one of my other DGD came to join us. I think we all had a good time. SIL fixed me a new outdoor light as mine bad broken ages ago.
