Good Morning Everyone,
Its dark, but its also dry here in Brackley this morning.
What I plan to do today could change depending on buses , I will go via Buckingham to Bicester , after doing the usual routine there , return to Buckingham hopefully and view the flea market before returning home.
I did go to Bicester yesterday as with a Friday market there its busy with villagers having there once a week bus in to shop, plus the trend to panic buy as started as to Xmas , I mentioned this to the driver on my bus , and not only is Bicester town shops busy but Bicester Village retail as well.
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning from a grey dawning E Kent.
Here at last! I had a really good night, even for me. I don’t know what caused it, but it was pretty amazing.
I visited my old friend in her retirement home yesterday. They are so short staffed that no refreshments are offered to the residents or visitors until just before lunch. I had gone by then.
GS’s mum is coming this morning to take the last of Philip’s bits for the lad, to put in his shed . He’ll look through them later when he feels up to it.
Urms, we had meal 5 from our 3lb chicken last night ?. Restarting with half shoulder of lamb tomorrow!
Nothing much else today, pottering, probs some sewing…
Have a gentle day, y’all, catch a few passing flamingos ?????

Good morning from Shropshire.

An early start today as a busy day ahead. The weekends are normally our own but not today!DD is going to Liverpool with a group of friends so we have the children as SIL working.
DGD and I will take DD to the station and then we are going over to Cheshire to see great grandma then out for lunch and shopping as GG wants to buy M a new outfit for her birthday next week.DH will stay at home with Henry.

Thinking of Jax and family, such a difficult time?

Hoping Urms L’il Miss has had a better night and that soop is more comfortable and will be able to return home today.

Have the best day you can everyone and thoughts with all struggling with illness and worries??

dragonfly46 Sat 13-Nov-21 07:43:40

Good morning from a dry Leicestershire.

Feeling the effects of all my activities over the last few days so just dog walking today at a leisurely pace.

Thinking of Jax and all who have troubles.

Grandmajean Sat 13-Nov-21 07:43:54

Good morning from Cheshire.
A bit grey looking and has rained overnight.
Not much on today. Quite pleased as Friday always busy so nice to do very little sometimes.
Hope the day brings some sunshine ??

Pittcity Sat 13-Nov-21 07:51:08

Good morning from Colchester where I can see blue through the wispy clouds and it's 12°already. A dry day forecast after yesterday's rain.
Two DGS and DH are waiting for their bacon butty breakfast.
I will try to catch up with laundry today as we are going away on Monday while a new bathroom is fitted.
Love to all ? x

MayBeMaw Sat 13-Nov-21 07:55:34

Good morning all from N Bucks where there are wisps of pink cloud but it still seems dry.
Today is my lovely little GS’s 10th birthday. I well remember the “call” the late afternoon before to “be prepared” as I was due to be looking after DGS1 while Mummy had her baby. Not wanting to hang about, I set off for Birmingham to find D bouncing on her birthing ball watching Strictly!
Toby did not put in an appearance until that Sunday night as it turned out and we spent Sunday afternoon walking round the Botanical gardens with D plugged into her TENS machine. This is a pic of the cake I baked him for his first birthday- Toby the Tram Engine obviously!
Looking forward to seeing them all later today and I wish you all a pleasant day and weekend too.

Good morning Mick, morning all from South Lanarkshire where there’s a pinkish glow in the sky and it isn’t raining!

No plans today other than I must start thinking about Christmas gifts. This time last year I was so organised and had just about everything bought but just can’t get into the groove this time.

Thinking of everyone with troubles to bear and wishing everyone a peaceful day. ??

Marydoll Sat 13-Nov-21 08:03:37

Good morning all from Glasgow. I have just caught a glimpse of a beautiful, atmospheric sky through the blinds.
Dh has kindly brought my cuppa early, which I am thoroughly enjoying, as I've had a particularly, disturbed night.

I was so sorry to tear your sad news, Jax. So much pain and sorry on here, just now. Also hoping GG13 and Granny Somerset are ok.

Yesterday was pretty full on, after a call from Soop in hospital, asking for help. Needing a listening ear, I called on my pal, up the road, Kalu. The Glesca Grannies, sprang into action, with Baggs, offering to help today, if necessary.
We are an awesome bunch. ?

Listening to our debrief, once it was all was sorted, Mr MDoll was amazed that Kalu could talk even more than I can! Now that is some achievement!!! ?

While all this was happening, we also picked up Dollie from school. We could see her wee, anxious face, scanning the crowd, searching for us. Once she saw us, she let out a scream of joy. Just like her gran, she is a fishwife. wink
I was spotted by the janitor, who often did relief in my own school and used to leave a Mars Bar on my desk, as a treat ?.
He reached out to hug me, oblivious to the fact that we are still maintaining distancing here, while I kept walking backwards, trying to avoid him. This was a source of great amusement for DH. He said that I was nothing, but a hussy!! ?
When it came time for Dollie to leave, she refused to do so and wanted a sleepover. Her parents were quite put out that, she wasn't pleased to see them!

It was a delight to have her and instead of her usual snack, she asked for choc mint ice cream, with a flake, strawberries and chocolate sauce. Fortunately they were all in stock!! I also sprinkled the plate with chocolate hearts. I doubt that she managed any dinner last night. Of course she grassed me up to her parents!

Much as I love my family, I crave a quiet day today and hope we have no visitors. My only task, is to deliver my son's wedding invitations, instead of posting, to my friends and neighbours, thus reducing our carbon footprint. wink
This will meet with approval from Dollie, who has become a clone of Greta Thunberg, switching off lights, even when the room is occupied!.

Wishing you all a pleasant and gentle day.

Good morning Michael and all GNs. It’s dreary and dry this morning in South Yorkshire. Yesterday was a day full of minor irritations. A cancelled appointment, a problem with my phone, an encounter with a rude assistant in M&S, and a failed attempt to order something for my dSiL’s birthday on the internet all conspired to get under my skin in one way or another. I hope today will be better. We are going to watch GS run in a cross country this afternoon, and I must do a final tidy up before DS and DiL come here tomorrow for lunch.
Whatever you are all doing today, have a good one!

BlueSapphire Sat 13-Nov-21 08:14:56

Good morning everyone from a grey and windy Northampton. Waiting for the newspaper to come so I can attack the crossword.

A morning of not much then this afternoon off to rugby; hope it stays dry.

Collected my two orders yesterday, am pleased with both, but my coffee in M&S did not materialise! They have closed their cafe temporarily over the Christmas period, and are using it to store seasonal items and as their 'click and collect'. I was mightily put out, but toddled over the road to Sainsbury's cafe for my cappuccino instead.

Lovely cake Maw, clever lady!

Have a good day everyone.

AGAA4 Sat 13-Nov-21 08:17:43

Good morning all from North Wales. It's dry and cloudy here.
Due to back problem I didn't have a walk yesterday. I have ordered a walking stick as hope it will make me feel a bit safer.
Have a peaceful day everyone.

monk08 Sat 13-Nov-21 08:19:37

Good morning all from the Black country. Very windy overnight but seems a bit calmer this morning.
Friends coming later and we will go over to the club.
Belated birthday wishes to Olddudders and I do hope Urms L'il miss had a better night and showing some improvement.
Virtual hugs where needed and may you all enjoy your Saturday and find some ?.

ginny Sat 13-Nov-21 08:26:48

Good morning.Dull but dry and mild outside .
Food shop to do this morning. Off to DD3 later. We are babysitting the boys. First time of putting the baby to bed without his Mum or Dad being around.
Thoughts with all with sadness ,illness or other troubles. Hope Saturday is gentle with you and maybe a smile along the way.

Gwenisgreat1 Sat 13-Nov-21 08:29:50

Good morning all from dry Harrogate
Interesting colours in the skies this morning.
Hoping to visit a neighbouring church who are holding a Xmas market this morning.
Last night baby sitting, as soon as DD had left there was a pitter patter and in came DGS who snuggled up to me and snored as I watched TV. He is a delightful little boy, but such a monkey!
Thinking of jax at this difficult time
Hope everyone has the best day possible

Gingster Sat 13-Nov-21 08:33:06

Good morning all and it’s another ‘nothing’ day weatherwise. I just wish it would do something , other than look dreary. ?.

Yesterday I had a lovely day out in Chelmsford with my old pal. Shopping was productive and we found lots of little bits for stocking fillers. Had a nice lunch and headed back to the bus station and there we stood for an hour waiting for our bus. No seats or benches to sit on . Very tiring after a day browsing around the shops. ?.

I bought a bread maker in Lakeland . It’s just a silicon bowl !
It has good reviews so I’m looking forward to seeing how it turns out. Anyone got one?

I’ll have a cleaning day indoors today. I seem to have been out everyday this week and the house is looking neglected. ????.

Best wishes to all and I hope everyone has a pleasant weekend.
????

Mapleleaf Sat 13-Nov-21 08:44:25

Good morning,

It’s a grey and slightly breezy morning once more here in South Yorkshire. The sky looks heavy, but we’re not supposed to be having any rain. I’m not convinced.

I’ve seen those bread maker dishes in Lakeland before, Gingster, but I don’t know what they are like to use - I’m sure someone will be along who has one to tell you what they are like.

Belated birthday wishes to olddudders - hope you had an enjoyable day ??.

A quiet day in store, I think, other than a few chores around the house and possibly take out the dahlias to over winter the tubers (a job I was going to do yesterday but didn’t get around to).

Hope everyone has a decent day.

Good morning everyone the sunshine is blazing today here on the east coast of Fife it fairly gets these tired eyes wide awake. Yesterday a dear friend got in touch after a long time. She’s planning to visit me on Wednesday for a coffee and a catch up I’m so looking forward to seeing her again it’ll be lovely. That’s my Sainsbury’s order updated with honey, soy and chicken thighs to be delivered on Monday for Wednesdays cook off. Honey glazed in the slow cooker sounds delicious to me hope everyone in the house likes it I’ll have roast potatoes and vegetables with the chicken I do so like to plan in advance. roastchicken

Have a good Saturday for those in work who don’t work the weekend rest up and enjoy wine

Jaxjacky Sat 13-Nov-21 09:06:16

Good morning Mick and all from a dry, overcast, mild S Hants. Thank you all for your thoughts and kind words for FIL, it’s appreciated.
No big plans today, newspaper and make a chicken curry for tea, might watch some football too Pant, cheer on Wales.
Have a pleasant Saturday all, glimpsing those elusive ???.

Sar53 Sat 13-Nov-21 09:07:03

Good morning from another grey day in Essex by the sea.
Not a lot on the agenda today. Some shopping this morning in M&S and coffee in their cafe.
DH will be watching the rugby this afternoon and I will continue with my latest Christmas cross stitch.
Strictly tonight and then the Festival of Remembrance.
Enjoy Saturday whatever you may be up to xxx

Georgesgran Sat 13-Nov-21 09:11:54

Good morning from a grey, still Durham. Dog sitting today while DD2 and family visit friends near Halifax. Very frustrated at almost being housebound due to car problem - almost 3 weeks, but it’s booked in for Thursday. It’s drive-able, but don’t want to tempt providence, as the spare part is £1039, plus labour!
?Jax - not an easy time.
Hope everyone can find a little ☀️ today.

kittylester Sat 13-Nov-21 09:15:23

Good morning all from a cloudy North Leicestershire.

I'm a bit late this morning as we have had 2 little girls and their mum on our bed having a good catch up. Dsil went for a run.

They are staying with us as we have a family tradition of meeting up at the street fair. DH and I have opted out but I hope the showmen have been warned about the rest of them turning up en masse!!

Strictly with the girls tonight while their parent's go out for a meal.

cornergran Sat 13-Nov-21 09:20:26

Morning Mick, morning All from a grey corner of Somerset.

Back from a thoroughly enjoyable short break with good friends I’m totally unaware of everyone’s ups and downs. A suitcase sorting morning for me followed by lunch in the garden centre.

Warm thoughts to all with heavy hearts and a wish that Saturday is kind to us all.

GrannySomerset Sat 13-Nov-21 09:27:07

We have the pleasure of DS’s company this weekend, for once on his own as he realised that I could do without the accompanying teenagers and dogs. He has just gone for a run and then will watch me getting DH up.

Am visiting a good local nursing home with a couple of weeks’ respite care for DH in mind and have discussed home support with a local agency to be put in place after the respite. Wish me luck with all of this because DH won’t like it, but DS will be very supportive. At least I feel we have a plan and a chance for my back to recover.

Thinking of Soop with everything crossed. Delighted by Marydoll’s news and sending sympathetic vibes to Jax.
