Anyone on here from Norfolk OR now a naturalised Norfolk broad?

We've lived in Norfolk for over 40 years. Live in a big town to the south of the county, not near the coast unfortunately and can't afford to have a holiday home there. I originally lived in Cambridgeshire and husband is from Kent.

Nfk see my previous post. We left home on a Friday afternoon. It took us over an hour to get to the A17, normally it takes 30mins!

My DH refuses to use the A17! If we're going north we go across to the A11 and all the way around. Its faster!!

My Dh was talking to a Danish business associate. Danish chap said ‘I’m off on holiday to England.
Dh asks where to?
Danish chap says Suffolk.
Dh says where abouts?
Danish chap says House in the Clouds at Thorpeness.
It’s about 2 miles from our holiday home.
Indeed a small world.

We are on the Suffolk/Norfolk border, not far from Diss too! Lovely part of the world. Naturalised Suffolkers !

When DH was leaving the Army many moons ago we were looking at settling in Norfolk - Diss area. House prices were very affordable then. For one reason and another, we decided against living there, but we have spent many wonderful holidays in Norfolk and love it. Oddly enough, in all the time we have spent there, I have never been to Norwich. DH has, as his firm had an office down there he had to visit, but it’s still on my ‘to do’ list!

Respect Bluebell I'm one of those weird women who can't resist paddling whatever the weather. But I draw the line at going in further than my knees unless the weather is balmy. Its not the going in, its the coming back out into the cold air!
