Good Morning Michael and all who follow, still dark here in Oxfordshire. Hope you are okay after your jab, Michael, I had my flu jab yesterday, no probs so far.
Out to lunch today, which I was looking forward to, but not now I know who’s going! It was going to be us and 3 old friends but one is now bringing a ‘young lady’not sure how I feel about that, I’m not good with new people and if she is young……….
Anyway, not for me to judge, I just need to rearrange my face so that I don’t look disapproving. Times like this I wish I was outgoing.
Apart from that nothing much to do today
Hope all who follow will have a good day and a hug for those who have worries.

Morning Mick from a fellow pin cushion! Had my ?? on Wednesday and slept in yesterday so was late clocking in then kept getting error messages?

Sorry to read you’re unwell Baubles and Urms - such a busy time in the sick bay, don’t suppose Matron will look kindly on me with an achy arm ??

DH has to have a blood test this pm in Bangor and we’ll pop in to a new farmers market being opened at the local Gin distillery on the way home - apparently it’s being launched by Sian Lloyd (C4 weather)!

Will pop in later to read your bizzinesses including the update on shampooing at Marydoll Mansion - I’d loved to have been a fly on a wall there!?

Scentia Fri 19-Nov-21 06:22:21

Good Morning all from East Staffordshire where it is dark but feels quite mild.
Rest up Mick if your arm is still aching it can get quite heavy I have heard.
An extra day of Nanna duties today as GM has covid. DGS is at playgroup and I will have a meander around town with the baby and a visit to the library too.
Then this afternoon I have a meeting with my MP, so the children will come with me, she will remember me and what I want her to do for me after that I can assure you???
The new mattress was nice last night but I don’t think DH will like it as he kept saying how bouncy it was!! Well he can sort out a return in 40 days if that’s the case, we will see just how much he doesn’t like it then!!
Have a good day everyone and keep smiling.

Urmstongran Fri 19-Nov-21 06:59:28

Good morning everyone from south Manchester where it’s dark but dry and seems mild. The trees are still. I can’t believe we still don’t need the heating on and are sleeping under the summer duvet. Very strange.

I can see the red lights winking on a plane as it comes in to land in the distance. Manchester airport is about 10 miles away and although we aren’t on the flight path we can see arrivals and departures from our balcony doors.

The plan later this morning is to strip the bed, shower, wash my hair, put on clean pj’s, remake the bed and climb back in it. Tissues and water to hand. I’ve cancelled meet ups with friends we had planned over the next few days. I think I will ask Himself to pick up a lateral flow test from one of the chemists downstairs. I expect it will be negative but best to make sure, even though I’m not up to going anywhere anyway.

Heard last night that our 9y old Boy Wonder is the junior school chess champion - he won the tournament!
?

Kettle’s boiled. Time for a brew. Enjoy Friday all who can. Autumn is racing along isn’t it?

A very late (for me) good morning from E Kent. The sun is rising and the sky looks wonderful in the pastel pinks and oranges of dawn.
I slept very well for the first time in ages. I have been suffering from plantar fasciitis for the last 4 months. GP is totally uninterested so I have taken advice from previous sufferers and ordered a boot to keep my ankle flexed overnight. Although initially uncomfortable, I wasn’t woken up several times during the night by the pain! Hope the pain carries on getting easier.
I’m out to lunch in .deal with my lovely tai chi friend whose birthday was yesterday. It’s nice to go out occasionally.
May today bring peace to you all especially those who are suffering in any way. Carpe diem. ???☀️?☀️??☀️☀️

Good morning from Shropshire.

An early start today as doing the morning school run as well as the afternoon. We have kitten cupcakes to take over ready for DGD’s sixth birthday party tomorrow.Luckily we had practised making them a couple of weeks ago so this batch actually look like kittens?

I hope Dollie managed to enjoy her birthday yesterday Mary?

Mick, DH and I both had sore arms after the booster, found it lasted about 24 hours so take it easy today.

Hope all in sick bay are feeling better today??thoughts with all struggling??

Beechnut Fri 19-Nov-21 07:08:00

Oh Scentia that did make me laugh out loud about your MP.
Good Morning everyone from Severnside. I have looked out and it’s dark.

Going to do my weekly shop and can’t make up my mind whether to go further afield and go to an Asda for a change.

I don’t think Matron will be picky Pant the more the merrier and the only thing you’ll be infectious with will be laughter.

Looks like the new fence my neighbours have put up is finished and they have decided to go right to the end of our gardens. It looks better but I feel a tad ‘shut in’ even though it’s not high. I’ll get used to it and the bushes will grow and the flowers will bloom once again.

Have a good day all ???

cornergran Fri 19-Nov-21 07:11:02

Morning Mick, morning All from Lechlade on Thames. Looks dry out there.

Travelled to Burford yesterday and enjoyed a chatty if tiring day with my cousin before a night in a very comfortable pub with excellent food. There will be memory lane stuff today. We lived near here for many years and will enjoy revisiting before drifting back home via an excellent garden centre, Cirencester and a quick visit to our Littlest and his Mum. We’ll arrive exhausted but happy. .

Sorry to read baubles and urms are unwell, get better soon wishes to them and all feeling under the weather. Hope you’re able to sleep gtannysomerset. Take care everyone. Hope Friday is gentle with us all.

BlueBalou Fri 19-Nov-21 07:11:04

Good morning everyone from Wiltshire, I haven’t looked to see what it’s like outside yet.
I need to get organised over the next few days for the photographer who’s coming to do the house sale photos, that’ll be fun!
I too have two sore arms from my booster and flu jabs but not as bad as from the first and second vacs.
Dog walk, more garden tidying and then house sorting today, I will be earning tonight’s G&T!
Autumn is definitely racing along ?

brook2704 Fri 19-Nov-21 07:26:18

Good morning everyone from Inverness where it’s just getting light, it’s very mild for November and dry.
Nothing planned today, DH is out working for a couple of hours this morning and I’ll be catching up on household jobs and maybe a bit of gardening.
I hope you enjoy your lunch out oopsadaisy and that meeting someone new doesn’t result in too much anxiety
Sending healing vibes to all those feeling under the weather
Take care all whatever the day brings ?

GrannyGravy13 Fri 19-Nov-21 07:28:44

Morning all

We have The Imp today and are off to a local(ish) shopping mall to start Christmas Gift Shopping. This evening we are babysitting for our DS(4) two children aged 4 & 2, bedtime is fun as they go to bed really good for Mummy & Daddy not do for us ??

I had about 6” cut off my hair yesterday, will post a picture when I am up. DiL has a phone appointment with her surgeon next week, we are taking that as a positive. She is still sore but improving each day.

Urmstongran & Baubles get lots of rest and hope you feel better soon ?

Keep safe and well folks ?‍♀️?

Grandmadinosaur Fri 19-Nov-21 07:42:26

Good morning all from a bright East Yorkshire.
Yesterday I became a Grandma to a beautiful little girl Charlotte Olivia. Despite being 4 weeks prem she is a healthy weight at 6lb2ozs. She is in the ncu unit for a few days as she needs a little assistance with her breathing but after all the worrying it seems like our prayers were answered. My son sent some photos and she looks just like her big brother when he was born. Mum seems to be doing well too and maybe allowed home early next week.
I’ve no plans for today apart from a food shop at some point but may also see ds and dgs.
Wishing all those with ills a quick recovery.
Take care.

ginny Fri 19-Nov-21 07:52:02

Good morning everyone .
Congratulations grandmadinosaur
Had my booster yesterday , my arm is a bit sore but I’m glad of that. I wasn’t convinced ‘d had the jab as the nurse was so gentle and I really didn’t feel a thing.
Going into town today with DD1, DD2 and baby. Hoping little one will like the lights in the Christmas display.
Healing thoughts for all who need them and hope you all find a smile in your day.

kittylester Fri 19-Nov-21 07:52:54

Good morning all from cloudy North Leicestershire.

Having a bit of a lie in as the tiler finished yesterday and we don't have to be up to let him in. He has made a really good job and we now only need to buy towels to finish the room off.

Out for lunch with a friend today.

dragonfly46 Fri 19-Nov-21 07:54:32

Good morning from a brightish Leicestershire.

Many congratulations Grandmadinasaur, a baby girl how lovely.

NWR lunch today where we will try and thrash out the elusive answers to the quiz last night. It was very difficult and kept me awake last night.

Wishing everyone a good day.

Jaxjacky Fri 19-Nov-21 07:55:48

Good morning all from an overcast S Hants. Congratulations Grandmadinosaur pleased all is well ?.
Lots of goings on today here, I have a friend coming round, I’m helping her access her ISA account online, a lot easier than keep phoning. Tesco delivering later and a wash to do.
Keep snug Urmstongran, I hope baubles is doing the same.
Take care all, hopefully a ? or ?? will brighten your day.

Gingster Fri 19-Nov-21 08:04:55

Good morning all.

Today I have my book club meet up. We’ll be discussing Hamnet. I’ve read it twice now and enjoyed it even more the second time.

After that DH and I will meet friends at our usual country pub for a light lunch and a catch-up on all their news. I don’t think we’ll be sitting out today - I think we’ll be around the log fire.

I hope you all have a pleasant day, whatever you’re up to. ????

AGAA4 Fri 19-Nov-21 08:05:15

Good morning everyone.
Congratulations to Grandmadinosaur. A baby girl how wonderful!
The blood tests I had last week seem to be lost. The nurse will ring me later to let me know more.
Hope all who are not feeling well have a better day and a good day to everyone.

harrigran Fri 19-Nov-21 08:11:41

Good morning from a dry and mild NE.
Washing day as I have the house to myself and I will be able to get the ironing done without interruption.
DS came yesterday, we played Scrabble in the morning and watched Shetland during the afternoon, I am finding this series quite confusing.
GDs visited after school, eldest made herself at home by having a bath and putting her pyjamas on. Home is 45 minutes drive away so she would be ready for bed on arrival.
Hope those who are poorly feel better soon.

Pittcity Fri 19-Nov-21 08:12:26

Good morning from a grey skied Cornwall.
No idea what we're doing today. Probably a drive out somewhere as we walked miles yesterday.
Back in Essex our bathroom is coming along. The walls disintegrated when the tiles were removed. They have been replaced with new plaster and the new floor is in. The builder is sending us photos and our ring doorbell is assuring us that they are arriving early and leaving late.
Love to all ? x

Stilllearning Fri 19-Nov-21 08:13:44

Morning from S Lanarkshire where it seems very still outside.

I enjoyed a really wonderful piano recital last night preceded by a very enjoyable meal with friends. It was a lovely evening, we are fortunate in having a Music Group here which brings some great musicians to our town, saving late journeys to Edinburgh or Glasgow which many of us oldies wouldn’t make.

My first visit yesterday to see DD’s new house was also really good. It needs a huge amount of work done but I can see why they are so delighted and I’m so happy for them.

Friends for lunch today so I must press on but I’m remembering all in ‘sick bay’ as well as Marydoll’s friend’s daughter, I hope there is better news of her.

Wishing everyone the best day possible ???

Greyduster Fri 19-Nov-21 08:21:28

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. The sun is shining in South Yorkshire but it’s a lot colder this morning. We are paying a quick visit to DD this morning. GS’s school has an inset day this morning so with any luck he will be around to say hello, but in all probability he will be having a teenagers lie in (they take up most of the morning!). On the way home we will call in at the garden centre to buy some winter heathers for the planter by the front door.
Have the day you can, one and all.

Grandmabatty Fri 19-Nov-21 08:21:35

Good morning all from a very mild and windy Polmont.
Congratulations Grandmadinosaur on your brand new granddaughter. Urmstongran congratulations to your boy wonder for being a chess whizz.
Today I shall be looking after my boy wonder after playgroup as his mum has a hospital appointment. Her pregnancy this time has been very difficult with lots of complications so we will all be glad when baby is here.
Tonight I'm going to my son's house for a Greek night. He and his girlfriend are making the food. 35 years ago on this day I gave birth to him. He was a lovely boy and has grown into a kind, caring man.
Anyway, I have a trip to Aldi this morning to get bacon and rolls for dd after her hospital appointment and cake for the boy wonder after playgroup. Have a good day all.

Greyduster Fri 19-Nov-21 08:23:22

“Best day”!!!
