Forgive me if anybody else was lined up to start this - but wide awake with a million thoughts buzzing through my head I wanted to do this before everything kicks off and I get too tied up with kennels, surprise visit from D and GS, - and what I am dreading, loading the car! So happy to hear of the -ive PCR test results and with loving thoughts to any and all whose Christmas plans have been blighted . To all Grans and grands and fellow Good Morningers - my Christmas message to you all !
Happy Christmas one and all. I read everyday but seldom post. We have postponed Christmas this year as our DGS had a stroke 2 weeks ago so he is miles away in Edinburgh sick kids hospital for the next few months. We had his brother with us until yesterday but DS and DIL have been lucky enough to get some accommodation at the hospital so they can all be together which is wonderful. Hope everyone enjoys the big day. ????
I am a 'lurker', only occasionally join in but always read, everyday. My aim is to join in more! Wishing you all a happy, peaceful and healthy Christmas, one that is joyous and kind. Best wishes to all.
Oh Maria59 I hope your little grandson makes a full recovery. Sounds as though it will be a long road. Thinking of you. You too Baubles, what a shame and so last minute. I just popped back hoping EnaSharples might have come on, she sounded very depressed yesterday. If you’re reading Ena, hope you come back. Have the best Christmas you can everybody ??
Not Good Morning now but didn’t want to miss posting my Seasons Greetings to you all. Hope everyone has the best Christmas that they can given whatever circumstances they are in. X
What a lovely photo* kitty *,oh *baubles *what can I say ,once again I want to thank you all for your good wishes my poor oh must be tired of doing everything but he does it quietly .think it's nap time best wishes to you all ,hope your grandson makes a full recovery maria59
Thank you for your kind wishes. kittylester DGS is 8 we are taking strength from him as he has been amazingly brave. He has lost mobility of right side his speech and ability to swallow. There have been tears but now we need to be strong. Mobility is slowly coming back to his leg and he has managed a couple of words not clear but definitely words. I am so grateful for video calls as visits are not permitted in these strange times but so wish to give him a hug
Maria59 I hope he is getting plenty of access to therapy, especially speech and language. Awful as it is, children often recover better than adults as their young brains are quicker to adapt. I wish you and your family well
Yes, greetings and a Merry Christmas to all gransnetters from East Kent-sur-mer. Thank you for your company this year, it has given me much joy. A virtual hug to anyone who finds this time of year especially difficult ?
Oh so sorry Baubles - us too, it’s rubbish! DGD has Covid and now it’s a game of ‘who was near her when’ SIL has a chest infection. Son sneezing. Feel like putting a big sign up - Christmas Cancelled Until Further Notice’ but instead I’ll have a gin and hope for the best. Good luck everyone! X
It’s Christmas morning here in Australia I’m still in bed mulling over lovely memories of Christmases past Today is cloudy & wet yet again, but I have a happy heart having received a huge bunch of beautiful flowers from my far flung family yesterday. Lunch out at a friends restaurant today So no cooking for me. After years of cooking for a huge family it’s quite novel. Enjoy your celebrations everyone & to those alone like me enjoy your happy memories & know that where there is love we are always in one another’s hearts no matter how much physical distance there maybe between us Love & joy to you all ???
Tamayra happy Christmas to you this morning. DH and I are a little drunk and we have opened our presents already, makes me feel better knowing it’s Christmas Day somewhere ?
