anyone tried the new online Wordle word game?

I had to do it as the clock turned midnight. I am thicker today than yesterday took five.

There is a Wordle Unlimited.
It doesn't look as if Mr Wardle has exclusive rights, that's a pity if he had the idea in the first place..

Today’s word is the American spelling……..

First time for me and it took me 6 goes. Very frustrating that there is only one a day, would be good to get some momentum going.
Yes, Kathy73 I noticed that and was surprised as it is a UK website. However as it was developed by an American I suppose one should expect American spelling

Feeling a bit jaundiced - SPOILER ALERT - wasn’t expecting US spelling ???

I am so disappointed with it today for that reason maw. I realise that is an extreme reaction!!

I think there's a lot of luck involved to get it under 4, after my third go today I was left with 10 possibles, three found but only one in the right place and I couldn't make any word until OH tipped me off that it was an American spelling. It also helps to remember that a letter can be used more than once, that foxed me earlier this week!

Yesterday did it in 2.

Today ( Wed) seems beyond me. I have the all the letters in the wrong place, bar one and still can't work it out. So frustrating.

Spice101 thanks for that link. I did it in 4 today, by good luck, but the hints on here gave me two letter straight away so I’m not as impressed with my score as yesterday.

Yes! I tried it for the first time today. Had no idea it used American spelling, so it took me several attempts.

Got it in 3 yesterday - took me 5 today - my excuse is the American spelling! I find it difficult coming up with a word at the start!

Got it in three. So the grey ones are not in the word, the green ones are but yesterday there were yellow ones and I don’t know what they signified..?

The yellow ones are in the word and are in the right place.

As I couldn't find instructions at first, so thought I must be unbelievably thick was confused at first
? (and it was nearly midnight)

When does the day's word appear? Just opened for first time and all squares are blank!
