anyone tried the new online Wordle word game?

5 for me today.
I am hopeless at maths but have been having a go at Nerdle. I gave up the first attempt, then saw on here you could have six squares instead of 8 and found that easier to do so had a go with the 6 today and did it in 2 then tackled an 8 square one and did it in 5. It’s worth persevering with. For me I start by using both the * multiplication and / division symbols in the first go so I have some idea of what I dealing with. Great games both of them really enjoying this with my morning cuppa. That’s to those who suggested them

I’m on a high today. Just done both NERDLES ? and happy with results and just sailed through WORDLE.

Had 4 letters correct - 2 in the correct places.

2 today.

Hope this streak keeps going. Tomorrow is premium bonds draw day. ?

3 today. Chuffed! Didn't take to Nerdle (even though I solved it). Found it boring but will give it a couple of more goes.

Came back to it with little hope and did it straight away in 4!

Did it in 4 today.

I read that the developer of Wordle has sold it to the New York Times.
They are keeping it free for now.

I wonder how long it will be before we have to pay to download it.

Did you know there’s Wordle Unlimited MissA ? It lets you play as often as you want. I’m staying away from it as I don’t want to feed my addiction ?

Wordle has become the most talked about subject in our family WhatsApp group! There are several people or couples doing it and a healthy dose of competitiveness.

I tried the unlimited one last week. I felt I wasn’t being as careful in my attempts as I knew I could just start another. Also I found it too addictive. So I stick with the daily one and really enjoy it.

The game show is very fast paced.
I couldn't keep up.

Same here. The only way I’d be able to keep up with the tv version would be to pause the tv to give myself thinking time between every question. It’d be time for the 10pm news and I’d still be making my way through Lingo!

callistemon you’ve just reminded me - in the good old days when I actually had premium bonds I was always worried about going out at the start of the month in case I missed the knock on the door to say I’d won a million. I imagined that, finding no one at home, they’d give the money to someone else.

It was mentioned on a program this morning and again this evening. Although I enjoy playing Wordle each day I will not pay for it. Maybe, they will have some of those flashing adverts to cover the cost of buying the game..
