Hmmm, i have read so so many stories that run parallel with this particular one, i know you cant help who you fall in love with..... but!

Its reported they are wanting their own child ! At 61 ??????? THAT is where my negative comments come into force. I know the press feed us these stories knowing the majority of us will think its bonkers but personally i think its sad, yes bonkers too, but mostly sad ( for her )

Of course the heart skips more than the 1 beat when we know someone ( other than our hubby ) finds us appealing and for some it can have a serious effect, but then you read stories such as this 1 and i just feel sad for her and as for bringing a child into this, no just NO.

'deserve' children?

Strange choice of word.

Why not adopt?

Grandmabatty Fri 14-Jan-22 08:17:17

Just because we can, doesn't mean we should.

Galaxy Fri 14-Jan-22 08:19:31

I dont think children should be bought so it's a fairly easy moral dilemma for me.

M0nica Fri 14-Jan-22 08:27:58

OK, I know I shouldn't say it but I will. She looks so much older than her years. If someone had said she was 80, I would not have argued with that.

Apart from the sheer selfishness of this plan, did they not think about what it is going to be like for the child, everywhere people staring at it and making comments about it having a mother that looks like the great grandmother and the bullying and teasing it will get.

She cannot be 61, surely! Perhaps she’s a sun worshipper and/ or a smoker? She looks as if she has taken care of her figure, at least.

Expect she is too old to adopt GagaJo very selfish decision I think.

FannyCornforth Fri 14-Jan-22 09:18:01

Oh Lord! What a click baity article!
And they’ve even got an Only Fans account for ‘saucier content’ ?

Attention seeking odd balls

Luckygirl3 Fri 14-Jan-22 09:32:38

Crikey - she has not aged well!

Parsley3 Fri 14-Jan-22 09:40:27

The Only Fans account is the key to what this is all about. It’s not true love after all.

I won’t quote from it, but that’s a pretty offensive post Serendipity

Germanshepherdsmum Fri 14-Jan-22 10:02:01

You’ve said exactly what I was thinking MOnica.

PinkCosmos Fri 14-Jan-22 10:04:47

I don't understand what a 20-odd year old 'normal' man would see in a 60-odd year old woman, unless there was an obvious hidden agenda (visa) that the woman is too stupid to see.

On the other hand, it is not questioned in the same way when you see a 60-odd year old man with a 20-odd year old woman. Usually the men are very rich though grin

Germanshepherdsmum Fri 14-Jan-22 10:04:56

Revolting post Serendipity. Why did you think that was funny?

Serendipity22 Fri 14-Jan-22 10:06:38

MayBeMaw an offensive post?

Germanshepherdsmum Fri 14-Jan-22 10:12:51

It’s been deleted. That shows how offensive it was. How you could think it funny and want to share it is beyond me.

Serendipity22 Fri 14-Jan-22 10:20:56

Well the whole point of Gransnet is precisely to put our own personal thoughts, views ideas, likes and dislikes is it not Germanshepherd

You disagree and i agree..

Have a nice day ......

MayBeMaw Fri 14-Jan-22 10:24:20

I’m not sure our “personal freedom “ to put our own personal thoughts, views ideas, likes and dislikes extends to racism.

Serendipity22 Fri 14-Jan-22 10:25:14

Racism ??????? Where is the racism is my post ?

Germanshepherdsmum Fri 14-Jan-22 10:31:43

Nor items that you find funny about women sharing graphic details of their sex lives. That’s why there are guidelines and the moderators delete posts which breach them, as did yours.

BlueSky Fri 14-Jan-22 10:40:14

OK she looks far older than 60, but then if the groom was 60 and looking 80, and the bride 24, (and needing a visa) nobody would be so horrified. As for children it’s entirely up to them.

Germanshepherdsmum Fri 14-Jan-22 10:41:07

No thought for the potential children then?

Serendipity22 Fri 14-Jan-22 10:43:34

It seems i owe a huge apology. I honestly didnt want this to be viewed as it has, that wasn't my intention.

Sorry to everyone.. x

GagaJo Fri 14-Jan-22 10:45:40

Oh a lot of us would be horrified BlueSky. But I suspect a lot of 'us' would be women. Men think it's great to have an younger woman, never stopping to consider how the younger woman feels about their elderly body.
