Good Morning Everyone,
Its a dark but dry start here in Brackley this morning, a day to get back to normal routine after hospital .
I slept longer as well , maybe because of interruption in routine.
Get back to square one as to routine .
Take Care,
Mick

Good Morning Sunday 1th January 2022
(44 Posts)Good morning!
It’s not a frosty Wiltshire this morning, so no need to worry about slipping over on my morning dog walk, hooray! Might walk to the village for a coffee and cake from the Coffee Waggon this morning. It’s a bit further than usual but will be a nice change, especially if we can loop back through the fields.
Have a lovely day!
Good morning from a dark, drizzly E Kent.
Glad you managed some sleep this morning, Mick. Hope you’re feeling better.
Off to the 8 o’clock service. DH isn’t too good and prefers to watch the livestream at 1030. Fine by me.
Rugby again this afternoon, so I’ll probably do my Spanish homework then.
Roast chicken + roast vegetables for dinner tonight. We shall be eating this chicken for the next week! ☹️
Hope today brings a few rays of ☀️In your lives, perhaps catch a flamingo ? or two ??. Carpe diem.
Good Morning all from East Staffordshire where it feels warmer than yesterday.
I do hope you’re recovering Mick
I should get my trees planted today, I am meeting people on the green at 2.00.
DGC turned up at 6 last night for a sleepover as mummy and daddy had been invited out. We are up and watching peppa already!! I better get the porridge on?
Take care everyone and stay safe and warm❤️
Here’s Matt.
Good morning everyone from Malaga where it’s still dark. Himself is still snoozing so I’ve had to make my own cuppa.
L’il Miss rang me after her first ballet lesson yesterday - she loved it. I knew she would it featured in one of our make-believe games before Christmas!
We plan to go down to the beautiful marina to eat today. Our only decision is whether to go there for lunch or wait until tonight. Decisions, decisions.
Glad you’re getting back into your routine Mick. The shock you had will have knocked the stuffing out of you so take it easy.
Oh my, I missed Michael yesterday, what happened?
Good morning from a quiet Torbay after rain late evening.
It’s good to have you back, Mick; you must have been shaken by your fall. Take care as you heal.
It's lovely that your DGD is taking to ballet, Urmstogran! An expensive but such a worthwhile hobby! Sadly my DGD has had to miss her dance lessons over the weekend due to a positive Covid test. She has fairly mild symptoms so far.
My DD1 in Australia wasn’t able to talk for long as she was in some discomfort and struggling to breathe due to pericarditis, which her GP thinks was a reaction to her booster vaccination. I do wonder if she was incubating Covid before having it. LFT's are nigh on impossible to obtain there so she wouldn’t have known.
I'm rather tired after a busy time at the theatre last night but attendees were very generous so we should have raised a goodly sum for our local hospice.
Good luck with the tree planting, Scentia! A wonderful project! Such a busy lady is grandMattie! I admire your energy.
Have a peaceful Sunday.✝️ Kind thoughts to those with heavy hearts. ?????
Good morning from a quiet, still south Cornwall, where a cool breeze is wafting in. The gulls are getting restless; the resident male-with-attitude who nests on our perspex roof was banging on the window yesterday, hammer blows. I went to the door thinking it was someone knocking. A bit early in the year for such gull nonsense. A painting day for me today and church at 4pm. Take care Mick.
Good morning Mick, morning all from dark South Lanarkshire. No clue what the weather is doing yet as I haven’t looked outside.
I’m glad you’re none the worse for your misadventure yesterday Mick, take it easy today.
I’ll have to catch up with some housework today after I’ve been to Mass for the first time in a few weeks as we were in isolation.
I thoroughly enjoyed my first week at work, I got on well with everyone which makes it so much easier.
I hope your DD makes a quick recovery Ashcombe, that sounds uncomfortable for her.
Wishing everyone a peaceful Sunday. ??
Good morning fellow early birds. I am tardy this morning - only just got up and DH was already down and waiting for his breakfast. It is croissants today and he tends to burn them when "warming" them so left them for me to do. Apparently I do them "just right"! I like to spoil him after the traumatic past two years.
DD has promised to call in to see us today so that will be the highlight of the day. She has such a busy life that we are happy for her to pop in when she can.
Hope the ground is not too hard for the tree planting Scentia and the volunteers all turn up to help.
Kind regards to everyone and hope the day is as good as it can be for us all.
Morning Mick, morning All. Our corner of Somerset seems milder, no frost. Other than that not sure what it’s doing out there.
A good day yesterday. Carpenter easily and cheerfully sorted the loose door handle and catching bathroom door then a thoroughly enjoyable family afternoon and early evening. Sad to see them go, a difficult time on their horizon with the first anniversary of the loss of a much wanted baby. January has brought so many losses to our family over the years it’s not a month that lifts spirits.
Look after yourself mick and anyone else struggling with medical matters.
Hope Sunday is gentle with us all.
Good morning all and glad to see you back Mick.Have a restful day.
Alizirin. - we had a seagull knocking on our kitchen window (at our seaside house) . He was trying to get at the little plastic figure we have of a waving Donald Trump. It did make us laugh ?.
We had eldest (19) and youngest (6) dgd’s here yesterday while their mum was at the hospital. They are half sisters but eldest lives with her dad and is now at Uni, so they don’t see too much of each other . They love each other’s company and spent the afternoon crafting, reading to each other and doing puzzles. They baked cupcakes and cheese straws which went down very well. So lovely to see them together. DGD 1 goes back to Uni today , so there were a few teary eyes from both of them. ?.
A peaceful, day today ?. We will read , cook dinner and relax.
Hoping you all have the day you wish for. ?
Good Morning everyone from Severnside. There is the glow of sunrise to the east and not quite as cold.
Pleased your on recovery road Mick. Elspeth45 Mick has put what happened to him on yesterday’s GM down near the end. ?
I’m going to take myself off to a B&M this morning. It’s been a while since I went out on the weekend.
Is your tree planting part of what’s going on nationally this year Scentia.
Hope you all and your families have a good day along with your roasts. I’m trying the vegan bolognaise I saw on a tv programme last week ??
Good morning Mick, I hope you are feeling fine today after your fall. And greetings to all from a still dark Carlisle where it appears dry and wind-less. DS2 is still with me and we are thinking of having a run down to Whitehaven this morning although there are jobs we could be doing here. My car is looking a disgrace from trips through mucky country roads, I am going to have to turn the outside tap back on and getting it washed.
Have a good day everyone.
Good morning everyone from Devon where it’s just getting light and there’s a lovely sunrise over the sea. Where we’re staying is just back from the train line grandmadinosaur so I expect a similar place to where you’ve stayed years ago - happy memories!
Good to see you back mick and hope you’re feeling ok now
Yesterday we got the train to Plymouth and had a lovely day walking around the waterfront and along the coast just to the east. it was a bit grey but it stayed dry and we even sat outside for our lunch overlooking the sea. We’re just still deciding where we’re going today, but it will definitely involve walking somewhere, it’s always an adventure with DH! Thanks for your suggestion for views from the 22 bus Ash we might try that later.
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings ?
Good morning from a grey skied Colchester.
Glad you're ok Mick.
Another quiet day here with roast chicken later. Our Sunday roast usually does 2 meals Mattie, we usually have curry on Monday. Sometimes there's enough for sandwiches too.
Love to all ? x
Morning all.
Didn't know you'd had a fall Mick. Hope you are soon back to normal.
Lovely local river walk yesterday afternoon. I love the wintry sunshine and a bit of frost on the grass.
Have as good a day as possible everyone ?
Good morning Mick and everyone from a dull and foggy Oxfordshire, hope you are feeling a bit better today Mick.
A nothing day today, MrOops wants to go for a walk along the river but it’s too damp for us I think, unless the sun come out.
Had a call from MsOops yesterday so say that the 1000 trees that were due to arrive next week, were arriving at 1pm, I haven’t heard from her since so hopefully they didn’t arrive or she managed to contact all the people who want them to come along to collect them.
Have a good day everyone, hugs to those who are in need of one.
Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. Mild again here. Not many plans for today but a busy week ahead.
So glad you are safely home from your shock visit to hospital Mick.
Is the ground soft enough for tree planting Scentia? I guess it must be. I've ordered a lot of fruit bushes but the nursery won't deliver until March which lets me off the hook
How lovely to watch the DGC getting along so well together Gingster
For all that we squabbled as children, I love having a sister.
Hope the day goes well for all of you.
Good morning from a damp corner of the S Welsh coast, weather forecast is for a dry day.
Took the dog for a walk yesterday along the seafront, he is recovering well and spent the afternoon sleeping beside the fire. We met quite a few neighbours and acquaintances on the walk, it was nice to chat to them, at a distance of course. We are still being very careful and particularly this week with the birth of our grandchild on Thursday and Mr Lins's second cataract operation on Friday.
Sausage, mash and onion gravy with lots of veg for dinner.
Have a good day everyone and best wishes to all for whom life is a struggle for whatever reason.
Good morning from a chilly Essex by the sea where the sun is trying to make a name for itself.
We are off to watch the boys at rugby this morning, lots of layers needed. Then we are going to see the progress that DH has made with his boat renovations. We will probably have a drink in the club house at the yacht club.
I'm sure the snooker will be on later today and probably all evening, deep joy !!!!!
I hope you are feeling better Mick after yesterday, make sure you take things easy for a few days.
Have a lovely Sunday everyone xxx
Good morning all from a damp North Leicestershire.
We are still putting the bedroom back to rights so that will take up most of this morning and this afternoon we are going to DD3's to look after 2 dgc while their parents take 4 boys to a Ninja experience. I think we got the best of that deal.
Good morning from Derbyshire where we have blue sky and it's much milder than yesterday.
Glad you're ok Mick
Thank you for your kind words yesterday Lins1066 Hope everything goes well for your family this week ?
We'll be out walking at some point today as I'm trying to step up the exercise regime following a weight gain over Christmas.
Hope Sunday is enjoyed by all.
Good morning from a foggy S Hants. Glad you’re recovering Mick.
We’re out to lunch today with friends, no cooking tonight. Pleased you enjoyed your first week baubles.
Have a pleasant day all, ??? for everyone.
Good morning Auntyflo and all x
