Snow drops, a favourite of mine, thank you BA. Bit nippy out there tonight, our walk to the local, then back after a couple wasn’t our normal amble. Fed, watered and warm, we’re fortunate. Enjoy your evening all xx
Dear Soop my thoughts and prayers will be with you both on Sunday. I have spent many anxious hours in waiting rooms so know what MrSoop will be going through too. We will be thinking of you both. Take care and much love. Yiayia hope your DGS has a good trip, I spent many hours in Bushy park with my dear brother and SIL. My brother was in a dementia care home near by and we used to go there for little trips to the cafe. Lovely flowers everyone. Have a good weekend all.
Beautiful flowers BladeAnnie and Blossoming. Thank you. In bed. My traditional Friday night -Question Time on R4 and an (incredibly) early night. Tea was toast and marmite and a homemade yogurt. Bliss. DH has taken Valentine'sDay off so we can have a day out so a three day weekend. Thought I might tackle some new baking tomorrow. Would be grateful if anyone knows a good gingerbread recipe. Take care everyone. Especially soop.x
Beautiful photographs this evening in the kitchen. Thank you all. Have a safe journey to Ross Hall tomorrow MrandMrsSoop. I will be trying that recipe Jax. MrM is mad about anything treacly Dogs. Gingerbread cake and custard is his favourite pudding.
Hello Soopers! soop rang a little while ago. She was about to be hooked up to drips which, I think, will start the necessary emptying process in preparation for surgery tomorrow. She said she's dreading this part more than the surgery.
It seems MrSoop was not allowed to accompany her up to her room. Very sad but I suppose the parting would have been hard wherever it took place.
The best part of what soop told me (at least what I'm able to repeat here) is that at the pre-op earlier in the week she was told not to eat porridge or oatcakes or vegetables but it was fine for her to have as many cream cakes as she wanted. Perhaps we should all eat cream cakes this weekend in support.
soop sends her love and misses you all, as usual xx
Ahh thank you for the news Baggs . Please send our love in Buckets from the kitchen if you speak to soop again. It will be no hardship at all to eat much cake so that dear soop is not doing it alone. I will start us off by leaving Welsh cakes, red velvet macarons, and coconut kisses on the side for everyone to share. Wishing all the best day that they can have.
Fondest wishes to Mrsoop too who will feel lost and worried without his darling wife in his sights. This will soon be over, and much brighter days lie ahead for the Soop ‘s. ?
Oh my, I didn’t realise Soop was being admitted today. Wishing her the very best and hoping that today will be the worst she has to endure and everything will be upward and onward henceforth. ❤️
Cream horns and cream doughnuts all round for everybody!
Thank you Baggs for the update on Soop. It's good to be able to picture her in hospital and focus on a good outcome for her. Although, right now I doubt Soop will want us to conjure up too much detail. Anyway, once we know Soop is ready to eat again I will make a very large, fruity and creamy Pavlova. Wouldn't it be great if cream cakes were on prescription. Seriously, you are wished the very best Soop, and sending kind, supportive thoughts to Mr. Soop.
