The Rolling Stones

I saw them twice in the 60s. I wasn't keen. I was a Beatles gal. A girl at school offered to pay for me to go with her as no one else would go. We were right at the front. Brian Jones did a wee in a beer bottle. I was disgusted sheltered life.
They grew in me and I saw them again a few years later and loved it. Still prefer the Beatles.

I used to be a real fan of The Stones, but now prefer people like Tom Walker and Ed Sheeran whose lyrics are so much more positive about women. Many of the Stones' tracks have very dubious lyrics, and I find it hard to sing along.

I do still enjoy Angie, though. I think that's a beautiful song, regardless of who (or what) it is about.
