Good Morning Everyone,
Its dark and wet here in brackley this morning.
Today , an easy day with making lunch ,and also watching cycling on TV in the afternoon , which breaks up the Winter Olympics .
Saw some Daffodil buds coming through yesterday in the town as well .
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning Mick and everybody. It’s raining in my corner of Lancashire this morning with no signs of letting up, currently 8°C.

No plans for today other than usual physio exercises and cycling on my exercise bike if I can’t get out for a walk. Mr. B has been making bird boxes, I am looking forward to seeing the results.

Glad you enjoyed your day Blue Balou.

Sorry your DH is suffering Grandmattie, glad things are looking brighter for your GS.

Hello Toby1932 hope you enjoy this friendly thread.

Mr. B is like your husband Gwen and leaves everything tech related to me. I’m a Mac lover, but used PCs for work. YouTube can be helpful.

I’m glad your DH is feeling better multicolourswapshop.

Enjoy the family gathering Gingster.

Enjoy your visit with family baubles.

Have a lovely afternoon Grandmajean

Fingers crossed your vaccination goes smoothly Marydoll and hope there’s no side effects from this one.

Have a restful day Georgesgran, hope your friend is making a good recovery.

Thank you for passing on the message from soop Marydoll. Like many I will be thinking of her and her DH today and wishing for a good outcome.

I’m writing this from my comfy warm bed, propped up on pillows. My mug of tea is now empty so I’d best get up, showered and dressed in time for brunch!

Wishing you all the best possible day. May all those with worries find some comfort and all who are under the weather find some relief. ?

Thank you for the update on Soop Marydoll it is most welcome. I don't post on here but I read. Thank you for letting us know.

Good Morning Mick and everyone from a very wet and dark Carlisle. No going outside today then. Though I'm still feeling a bit lightheaded after my venesection on Thursday so just as well I'm not tempted.
Yesterday I ordered some old-fashioned roses from a website I'd found that had a huge variety of them. So so difficult to choose only 6.
I've made a start on preparations for sticking up a magnetic noticeboard in the kitchen, somewhere to put all my lists that I'm an avid maker of these days. I wouldn't get anything done otherwise but ticking things off spurs me on to do something other than read a book or play on my tablet.

Hello to you Toby, keep posting your news.

I don't read the goings on in Soop 's kitchen very often (perhaps I should) but do like to be kept up to date with how she is doing....and my very best wishes to her at the moment.

Your poor DH grandMattie I hope something can be done for him other than doping his pain with what sounds like a very unpleasant drug.

And so back to my board hanging after wishing you all a pleasant Sunday.

Good morning Mick and all from a damp northwest coast. Pity it’s damp as a friend is coming over to the seaside from deepest Cheshire, so not sure what we are going to do apart from hand him a hot dog and cuppa soup when he arrives (I do go to a lot of trouble,,,) but out for meal tonight.
I’m waiting to see if I feel any different after stopping my hormone medication for BC a few days ago. One thing hasn’t changed, I feel like death in the morning.
I enjoyed the day to myself yesterday, a little mending and making smoothies. Satisfying to use things up in the fridge, but left the onion out, a bitter mistake I once made.
Thoughts to grandMattie and will read through later.

Good morning everyone from a very wet and windy Cornwall, just found out my waterproofs are not waterproof smile Struggled to keep my balance mucking out the ponies with the mud and so windy smile Keep safe and warm everyone.

SkyBird Sun 13-Feb-22 11:15:18

Urmstongran yes I think you are the only one who is wondering why Soop is mentioned on this thread.
The fact that people care is what matters. Not where they post.

gillgran Sun 13-Feb-22 11:22:19

Good Morning from a windy North Cambs.,

Busy week ahead, our daughter & grandchildren are coming for half-term. Unfortunately the weather forecast is wet & windy.

I had a smile grandMattie, your DH sounds just like mine, ( but he's my old mule, so I'll keep him...!!)
You & your family have had such a tough time, take care.

Warm wishes to you all, especially those with added worries.

Urmstongran I am rather shocked by your post about mentions of Soop and I hope you have thought better of it now, as it seems out of character. Many Gransnetters who supported the fundraising don’t read the kitchen thread and will obviously want to post their best wishes and receive updates.

Let’s not spoil Mick’s Good Morning thread with bickering.

Good morning everyone from a grey and very wet Algarve. Having had a long term forecast saying we should all be worried about the dams drying up, it does seem somewhat ironic. At least it’s watering my freesias which I’m checking daily at the moment for the first one to burst into flower. I can see one from where I’m sitting with my coffee, and I think it will be later today, with a with a nice dank background. grin

Now I can go back to read of all your doings.

Good morning all from me in a wet and drab Derby.
I love this type of weather - it doesn’t expect much from you! The Summer months are so demanding

I think that we underestimate how many readers this thread, and indeed, the site gets.
There are many reasons why people choose not to contribute to various threads. They can be a bit daunting

Thank you for the update about Soop Mary

Thinking of Alegrias - is anyone in touch with her? If so, please tell her that I demand that she returns!

Hoping that Zouma gets the reaction that he deserves at Leicester this afternoon.

I will be cooking beef for DH today, which is a huge sacrifice (smile) for me as I am a life long vegetarian (plus a bit of fish when I have to).
But he needs building up, and deserves a treat.
I’ll be having aubergine tortellini.
Yum.

Welcome to Toby! ? It’s great btjat you’ve just dived straight in. I’m sure that you’ll love it here smile

Have a good day everyone, and my thoughts especially with those about worries about husbands and other family. X

DustyAngel I'm glad you have rain. I have read that Portugal and Spain are experiencing drought just now which is worrying for crops etc.

Good afternoon Moringsters and Mick.
It's a very damp, soggy Cornwall again. Rain is here for the day.

It's lovely to hear all the messages for soop here. Thinking of her now even more as 12:30, I believe, was the time for surgery.
Thank you for the text message from soop, Marydoll.

Many of you do look into soop's kitchen but for those that don't, there was a lovely message from Baggs last night too. Soop had rung her yesterday morning. Soop herself posted last Thursday that I shall show Mr Soop how he can locate you lot. From time to time, he will update you whenever he has the opportunity.

Marydoll Sun 13-Feb-22 13:14:11

Thank you Muse, I should have mentioned Baggs, a very supportive friend of the Soops, who is in frequent contact.
What a great community Gransnet is. I never thought I would make so many new friends in my twighlight years. smile
