Thank you Baggs and thank you MrSoop. Heartwarming news. What a strong and courageous lady. I’m looking forward to the home coming celebration when Soop returns to her kitchen.

Thank you Baggs and Mrsoop. Wonderful news.

muse Fri 18-Feb-22 14:15:53

Such uplifting news about you soop. Have a safe journey home, when Mr C allows.

Thank you MrSoop and Baggs.

Aldom Glad you are feeling rested. A hard time for you. Try to look after yourself too. I keep thinking of your friend.x

Splendid news about Soop! Wow, going home already! ❤️

I hope everyone is safe. Like Brooke we have plentiful snow today although I think it’ll thaw quite quickly. Dh’s digital thermometer wotsit has gone potty, though, and is registering minus 16C! ?

Thanks to Marydoll, Baggs and MrSoop for the positive updates about our dear Soop, its great to know that she is doing well in body and spirit.
I'm making chicken soup with the carcass from last night, I'll put some on the table beside Grandmabatty's lentil. I'm on a low carb eating plan now, so I'll have to step away from the breadbin ?
Thinking of all in the danger zones, keep cosy.
Aldom, you must have needed that sleep, I hope you hear better news about your dear friend soon.??

Good positive news from our dear soop

The wind is blowing here in S E Essex, one minute the sun is shining the next torrential rain - very odd!!!

Charleygirl5 Fri 18-Feb-22 14:31:24

Thanks Baggs and Mr soop for the updates. Very soon soop will be in the comfort of her own home and bed.

TillyTrotter my rotary dryer is in place for now and I would not dream of leaving pegs on the line. So far it, my garden shed and fencing are in place.

Sitting out the storm here.We are on red warning. We have an old eucalyptus tree hanging over our drive, managed to move the car and wobble box a little and just have to hope for the best?
Warm blueberry muffins for our brand new kitchen and so pleased by our dear Soops progress.

Healing thoughts for your friend Aldom. The news sounds more positive and I hope the outcome is as good as my DH.

Like you maddyone my grandson is still testing positive after a week and missed all of half term.Super skier grandson starts the long coach trip home tonight. He’s had a brilliant time and sent us a video of him skiing. He’s done so well, a very proud Yiayia and grandad.
Keep safe everyone someone has lost there roof near us.

Soop's recovery will come on leaps and bounds once she is in the comfort and peace of her own home and bed, as Charleygirl says. Just hope the weather allows it soon.

So good to hear of a successful operation after all that suffering and discomfort. Happy days!

Good afternoon dear Kitcheners. Lovely to hear from you MrSoop, such wonderful news too. I hope that she will be able to go home tomorrow, and that the weather doesn’t make the journey too difficult. My trip to the dentist was OK, all fine and a compliment on how well I clean my teeth. Home now listening to the wind buffeting the house. It’s not as bad as other places are getting, we are battened down and no need to go out again. Lentil soup is perfect for these conditions.

That’s so lovely to hear MrSoop, thank you!
We don’t seem to have had the storm predicted, although it’s gusty it’s not as bad as we have seem in the past, thank goodness.
Hope everyone is safe x

Aldom Fri 18-Feb-22 15:52:40

What lovely, encouraging news from Mr. Soop. Hoping the gales subside overnight so that dear Soop will be able to go home tomorrow. Sleep well tonight Soop. You will need your strength for the journey home. flowers flowerscupcake

Baggs Fri 18-Feb-22 16:08:19

Given the weather and the need for the practice of new skills, Sunday or Monday may be soop's day of returning home instead, according to her latest message.

Baggs Fri 18-Feb-22 16:08:35

Time will tell.

dragonfly46 Fri 18-Feb-22 16:11:36

Thank you for your message Mr soop I hope soop comes home tomorrow and you have an easy journey there and back. Sending love to you both.

Marydoll Fri 18-Feb-22 16:13:12

Baggs

Given the weather and the need for the practice of new skills, Sunday or Monday may be soop's day of returning home instead, according to her latest message.

I thought thatt might happen Baggs I don't know what it is like over your way, but the roads here are very dodgy after the snow this morning. If it freezes tonight, it will be treacherous.

I don't fancy Mr Soop's journey at all, whatever day it is.

mrshat Fri 18-Feb-22 16:37:21

Thank you Hellogirl - Great name for the new kitchen!
Also many thanks to Marydoll, Baggs and MrSoop for the ongoing and good news from soop. As 'they' say "make haste, slowly". flowers

Grannmarie Fri 18-Feb-22 17:17:55

Marydoll, you're right about the roads. I see in the Herald online that the A83 Rest and be Thankful will be closed again from 7pm Saturday till Monday morning. Usual diversion of convoy system on Old Military Road.....
Has anyone got a wee helicopter to get Soop home? Wishful thinking.

NanaandGrampy Fri 18-Feb-22 17:20:36

Just popped in to get the latestSoop news. It sounds wonderful, I am so pleased for her and MacS . Can't wait to see her home and back in her rightful place in the kitchen x

lavendermine Fri 18-Feb-22 17:23:47

Good to read the positive news regarding Soop. Onwards and upwards flowers

kittylester Fri 18-Feb-22 17:31:34

Thank you baggs and, especially MrSoop for the messages. I'm sure soop will be itching to get home but better to stay safe and warm until the journey home can be worry free.

Hello/callgirl. Brilliant name for the thread.

GrannySomerset Fri 18-Feb-22 17:33:33

Delighted to read good news of Soop and hope her recovery is straightforward.

Now home after a demanding but very successful day and am so tired I can hardly think straight. DH’s memorial service was perfect and I am so proud of my AC, DGD1 and nearly DiL who spoke, played and sang. Might sleep tonight!

Oopsadaisy1 Fri 18-Feb-22 17:38:11

Electricity has been off all day, but pleased to hear good news from Mr Soop. Now to put the heating on…

aggie Fri 18-Feb-22 17:46:39
