Good evening lovely Kitcheners. Not much happening chez nous today, DPP zoom meeting earlier, a little laundry and a lot of admin. Hospital tomorrow, nothing like as hectic as The Soops busy day fortunately. Mr. B will have to wait in the car for me but he doesn’t mind.

‘Evening All’

We’ve had rain nearly all day today over here in Malaga. Brr! Glad we were out and about on the paseo yesterday in the sunshine. Just seen on SKY news that from 4am this Friday NO MORE LOCATOR FORMS are needed return to the UK. Yippee! Travel is back to how it used to be pre-Covid - a passport and a booking confirmation. Himself is delighted as he is my PA when we holiday.

Gin & tonics are about to be poured in celebration!

OMG, petrol has increased by 10p a litre so here it is now £1.65 a litre. I filled up but I will only be using my car in an emergency.

Lovely sunshine but a biting wind and the inevitable rain later.

soop you do have a busy day tomorrow but it is an excellent idea if the pair of you rest in a hotel after the busy day and travel home at your leisure on Wednesday.

Hoping all the appointments go well soop and so pleased that you can stay over rather than travelling both days. You too Blossoming hoping all goes well
I’ve had a lovely day pottering in the garden, the sun has been shining and I’ve got all my washing dry.
The petrol prices are sky high here too Charley so it’ll be the bus for me as and when I can. Plus the electric and heating oil prices really going up, -its a good job we’re heading towards warmer weather soon
Some good news on the travel restrictions though Urms makes things a lot easier
A lovely photo soop happy memories!
Let’s hope it’s a negative test for Finlay in the morning Jax

brook you have said everything I would have wanted to say.
soop you look such a carefree young woman in that photo - no wonder it is Mrsoop ‘s favourite.
Charley there is one petrol station near our DD’s (the name of it rhymes with Mexico) and the price is £1.72 per litre for petrol. It is nowhere near London (usually most expensive) and it is shocking.
DH and I thought we would use the bus yesterday brook only to find “no buses on a Sunday”. Ho hum!
Wishing a good evening to all kitchen friends.

Evening all.
All the best for tomorrow at the hospital soop and blossoming.
Urmston we’re going to Portugal next week and so I’ve been followed the weather there. Apparently it’s cool and rainy there too, but next week will be much better. It’s probably similar weather to what you’re getting.

Nannytopsy Mon 14-Mar-22 23:38:52

Good luck tomorrow with the hospital appointments everyone.

Nannyfaraway Tue 15-Mar-22 08:47:09

Good morning all you lovely Kitcheners.
I'm feeling a bit under the weather so will take things easy. Actually still in bed having a coffee.
Hope your appointments go well today Soop glad you and Mr Soop can stay over.

soop Tue 15-Mar-22 14:17:49

hmm It's Thursday. grin

I meant to return to say goodnight yesterday. Got way-laid and before I knew it, it was time for our evening meal.

Nannyfaraway That sounds very wise, stay warm and rest.

Blossoming Thinking of you. x

Hello Kitcheners, back home after a lovely holiday. It was great, blue sky and warm sunshine everyday.I think Lanzarote is my favourite Canary Island.I love the low rise whitewashed buildings. We stayed in Costa Teguise it felt very laid back and still had that Spanish feel.Would certainly recommend for a winter holiday.

Good luck tomorrow Soop hope all goes well.Thinking of you today Blossoming?
Will leave you with happy Kitty pics, we visited them each day.

dustyangel Tue 15-Mar-22 17:05:16

Good luck on Thursday soop, I hope you and Mr S have a restful and relaxing stay in the hotel afterwards. I keep getting the days mixed up at the moment too grin

Yiayia, very pretty cats in your photographs, I always wonder about the Canary Islands. I know they’re volcanic but wonder if there are any green areas there?

Maddyone it is cool and rainy here at the moment, and I’m following the forecasts with hope as well as you. Mind you although we’re surrounded by thick grey clouds, it might be completely different down by the coast half an hour away.
I keep wondering how Marydoll is getting on with her outing with the Glasgow grannies and then remember that she is in a completely different country to me and sure to be nice and cosy inside somewhere.

Grannmarie Tue 15-Mar-22 17:17:45

Hello, lovely Kitchen people ?

I'm not long home from my first Glasgow Grans meet up! I was wonderful to meet everyone and put faces to the names. We had lunch in the Cafe in the Concert Hall in Glasgow and a great blether was had by all, around a dozen of us. I'm looking forward to the next one already!

I've still to catch up on some of the latest Kitchen news, but I'm thinking of everyone, especially Soop and all those with hospital appointments and treatments, or with poorly loved ones.
??

Yiayia4 Tue 15-Mar-22 17:26:35

All the islands are volcanic Dustyangel and of course they have very little rain so not much green around just palm trees.

soop Tue 15-Mar-22 17:30:17

Dearest you lovely lot, a brief visit to say night night.

Yia lovely feline pics.

Grannmarie What a treat for you all. smile

We have been busy doing stuff in readiness for appointments and such.
I shall return tomorrow.

TOYA smile moon

Grandmabatty Tue 15-Mar-22 17:33:30

DustyAngel we had a lovely catch up in Glasgow, and, like Grannmarie it was so nice to put faces to names. Lots of blethering. Soop I hope you are feeling better.

brook2704 Tue 15-Mar-22 17:53:49

So lovely to meet up in Glasgow today with so many lovely ladies
Hope to meet again soon
Hoping all goes well with your appointments soop I’ll be thinking of you ?

dustyangel Tue 15-Mar-22 17:59:15

Sounds wonderful Grandmabatty, I’m so glad. I’m improving at what seems to me a very slow rate but even I can see a difference really. When I realise that it’s not even four weeks yet, I realise that I have made progress despite feeling exhausted by it all. Never mind it’s a day free from therapies tomorrow and it’s DH’s birthday as well.

dustyangel Tue 15-Mar-22 18:02:41

Oops sorry I meant to thank Yiayia for answering me. We’re up in wet grey clouds today so I think I’d be happy to have some guaranteed sunshine for a change.

Jaxjacky Tue 15-Mar-22 18:37:23

Hi all, hope today went well Blossoming and that sounds good progress dusty pleased to hear it.
You sound refreshed and rested Yia excellent.
Grandson was back to school today after his second -ve test, he’ll be happy as he loves school.
Friend came for coffee earlier, I did another drive and completed this week’s boring housework.
Tomorrow is library, a small local market, phone calls and hopefully a greenhouse potter.
Have a pleasant evening all x

Marydoll Tue 15-Mar-22 19:09:55

Just popping in to wish Soop a successful day of appointments and a safe journey down to Glasgow tomorrow..

I am exhausted after today, but meet up was indeed very enjoyable. It was so lovely to meet new members of the Glesca Gang!
Hopefully another one soon.

Blossoming Tue 15-Mar-22 19:29:22

Good evening lovely Kitcheners, thank you for all the kind wishes. The hospital was OK, not much hanging around and the clinic staff looked after me very well. Will have to wait for blood test results, checking for cancer markers but no reason to think any will be found. I’m feeling really tired now, looking forward to hearing about the Glasgow meet tomorrow. Sorry for not replying to you all but my concentration is shot to pieces. Goodnight all.

Aldom Tue 15-Mar-22 19:31:28

All the best for your appointments tomorrow Soop. Enjoy your overnight hotel stay. flowers

Marydoll Tue 15-Mar-22 19:48:59
