It feels a lighter mood in the kitchen.
Pleased that you, soop are making good progress in your recovery, & that you are planning a break away, nice to have something to look forward to.
Blossoming, a relief to get those positive blood test results.
Lovely cheering photo of Pansies.
Enjoy the sunshine today, everyone.

(1001 Posts)Sorry about the title, me brain`s not at it`s best at this time of day!
Dearest Blossoming us lot are dancing for joy and we all want to help you to celebrate.

It is another gloriously sunny day. There is barely a ripple on the sea. The sky is cloudless. My best wishes to you all.
Wonderful news Blossoming you must be ecstatic.?
Felt a bit grim for last few days but both of us still testing negative so far.Youngest dgs is fine back to school next week and oldest dgs got through his week of exams so all good.
Just finished a shopping bag and birthday card for a friend hope she likes it.
Have a good Friday evening everyone.
So pleased to hear your good news, Blossoming.
These are beautiful Yiayia. You are very talented.
Such fantastic news Blossoming I’m so very very pleased for you ? it’s definitely a reason to celebrate
We’re back in sunny Edinburgh now and just the last leg of our journey home to Inverness to do, we should be home by 8pm ish
The bread looks yummy grandmabatty is there any left?
What a beautiful card and bag Yia a really lovely present for your friend - I’m sure she’ll love it!
Welcome home Brook. Plenty of bread left.
Yia You are indeed very talented. Your friend will be delighted.
brook You are almost home. Safe travels and feet up once you settle in your favourite armchair.
Grandmabatty Your loaf is a work of art. I am in the queue for a chunky slice.
We are guessing that there may be a deceased creature under the floor of the kitchen sink. Mr Soop has investigated but found nothing other than dust. He used a very powerful vac (without a bag) and I have spent a huge amount of time clearing up a layer of powdery grit from all the surfaces.
Friday night is G&T night. I always wait until nine o'clock. Sometimes, if I am really eager, I have it at 8:30. I know how to live dangerously.
My love to you all. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Would love some of your bread grandmabatty, trouble is I’d eat it all.?
Thank you so much everyone. I love fresh home baked bread Grandmabatty. I have made a slow cooker-full of lentil and bacon soup for later, lots to share!
What gorgeous creations Yia, your friend will love them. I hope you and yours feel better soon.
Urmstongran your post has just reminded me to ask Mr. B to get a big pack of sliced mushrooms when he goes to Lidl. They make a delicious and very easy soup, I throw them in a pan with some garlic and spray with a little oil. Soften for a minute or two, cover with water, simmer for around 5 minutes then blend until smooth. Eat and enjoy ?
Good news blossoming. Your pansies are so cheerful,
That bag and card are fabulous yia. You are indeed very talented.
Blue skies here today as well soop. Warm too. Sorry you’ve had some clearing up to do, hope the source of the odour can be traced.
We ventured forth to an NT and thoroughly enjoyed the spring blooms. It may have been too long a walk as Mr C omitted to tell me he had twisted his knee in the night. He’s now finding balance difficult. He assures me all will be well tomorrow. He may well be right.
.
I’ll try to share some images from today, some beautiful blooms.
corner Stunning blooms. Get well soon, Mr C. Twisted knees are a buggeration.
Blossoming I would enjoy a bowl of the mushroom soup. Providing Grandmabatty has saved some of mouthwateringly good bread.
Yia I'm happy to share with you. Lashings of real butter at the ready.
The pong in the kitchen hasn't abated. We've had all the cupboards inspected thoroughly. Drain-free poured down the plug holes. Cannot think where the problem lies.
A lovely, sunny, peaceful day. Mr Soop is gardening. I am washing all the glass ware in the cupboard. Most is now sparkling clean.
Soop plenty of bread left! It sounds like something has got under the floor and died. Unpleasant for you.
I have just returned from dd where we had a lovely afternoon tea. Mum was on her best behaviour too so a good time was had. I hope you have a good evening Kitcheners.
I echo Grandmabatty's good evening wishes. A very satisfactory afternoon doing gentle jobs. No nearer locating the source of the pong.
Until we meet again tomorrow,
TOYA
Hi all, another lovely day, we had the grandchildren last night, always a pleasure, they went to my daughter’s friend after lunch. Daughter is away for the weekend with 11 others celebrating a 30th birthday, I recall those days!
MrJ cut the grass, I washed school uniforms, PE kit, fed and watered, I’ll drop the uniforms at their house tomorrow with school shoes and rucksacks, I might, possibly, iron, which I rarely do.
Earlier we walked to the local for a drink and catch up with people, it got chilly quite quickly, a reminder it’s still March.
Lovely bread Gbatty, but I’m trying to cut carbs, so tempting and what beautiful diamond art Yia I showed the grandchildren.
Hope you get your stinky smell sorted soop how disconcerting.
MrJ cooking, I have a glass of wine after my pub shandies, cheers to a gentle evening all x.
Oh my goodness soop we can’t have a pongy kitchen, whatever is lurking under the kitchen sink it best come out and show itself soon …. In the meantime I’ll go round with the air freshener, open the windows and stick some more flowers in the corner ..
A lovely day here in Inverness, made even better with a lovely catch up with DD2 and the DGC
I walked DGD to her dance class and then we all had lunch out at one of the local garden centres. I received lovely cards and presents for Mothers Day tomorrow too - some new lighter pyjamas, hand cream and chocolates. I feel really fortunate and count my blessings everyday
Sounds like you’ve been busy Jax enjoy you’re evening all
‘Evening All’
I’ve been watching ‘Molly’s Game’ on Netflix hence the late hour! I’ve had to forgo my mug or Horlicks as I’m trying (and determined) to do well on this carbs awareness regime. I think I’m lucky to have been given a gypsy’s warning about being pre-diabetic and I need to listen to experts and take this seriously. Anyway I just enjoyed a mug of tea instead and visualised myself wearing summer dresses sat in my wardrobe that I couldn’t wriggle into comfortably last year!
Wish me luck ladies on my journey. I’m not going to mention it again. I’ve shared with you and I don’t want to bore the pants off anybody! x
Another lovely sunny day here too. We have been watching steam trains from the railway museum just over the other side of the bridge and also spent time in the garden. I managed to get rid of a boxful of personal documents that are no longer needed. They have to be shredded which is tedious but sadly necessary nowadays. Lots of busy bees in the kitchen. Hope you find the cause of the noxious pong soop.
I admire your determination Urms, it really is worthwhile and we’ve been given the tools to help us. Summer dresses are a good incentive! I’m afraid I probably did waffle on about it at first as I was feeling enthusiastic
Been off enjoying the sunshine, a walk on the beach in the next town along, quieter than our beach and plenty of (free!) parking.
With two bouquets of flowers recently delivered I view myself as a very lucky soul especially as Mr C was happy to forgo a Sunday lunch in favour of a cooked breakfast to be followed later by a 'proper' afternoon tea. I do like an afternoon tea, there will be tiny sandwiches, far too much cake and of course scones, cream and jam with strawberries.
As you will see from the above description I don't have your determination urms, think most of may summer clothes are forgiving enough for the extra there seems to be of me. I do try, it's a case of tries hard but could do better. Good on you though.
Hope the pong is no more soop, not something you want to keep for sure.
I'm off now to do something useful, no idea what but something will occur I'm sure.
Take care everyone. Look after yourselves.
A happy day to all Mothers.
The day is glorious again. I've been sitting on the bench and enjoying the birdsong. Mr Soop is weeding the rockery.
The pong persists. Mr Soop wishes to remove the fridge in order to investigate further. He has two strong pals who have offered to do the lifting. I shall report back after the deed. Could be done tomorrow morning.
Urms Okay! You have persuaded me to forego my bedtime Horlicks. My tum is chubby. I am less active at the moment. Seems like a good plan to reduce the carbs.
Jax My iron has remained in the cupboard since my op'. I intend returning to my usual routine...only not just yet.
corner
My love to you all. I hope that you continue to enjoy your day and evening too.

Such a gorgeous warm sunny day here in Inverness, I’ve been enjoying myself in the garden pottering about. The time has flown by and that’s me done for today. A shower and my loungewear on soon - I would normally say pjs but you’d all think I was crazy getting my pjs on so early!
Sounds like such a lovely day cornergran your afternoon tea sounds just yummy - I’ll be cracking open the chocolates later that DD2 gave me yesterday … but a very well done to Blossoming and Urmston for the healthy eating regime, I admire you both ?
So pleased to hear you are enjoying the sunshine too soop, I hope MrSoop and his strong pals can get the fridge out soon and whatever it is can be sorted - fingers crossed!
I’m quickly popping in to wish you all a happy Mothering Sunday!
Life is still very busy here and today is the last day of peace for two weeks now. I have an eye appt tomorrow and various things planned for Tues. then on Weds both dds, two GC and a DD’s boyfriend arrive. That’s followed by the GC’s daddy plus my ds2, dil and two more GC next Sunday. Madness!
TOYA and I hope everyone has the glorious weather we have at the moment! Xxx
Good afternoon, lovely Kitchen people, I hope you are enjoying this sunny Mother's Day.
My sisters and I took flowers to the family graves this morning, for our dear Mum, our Gran, and my Godmother, also DSis 1's Mum in law, the cemetery was quite busy!
Visits from DS1 and DS3, bearing cards and lovely gifts, but DS2"s family had to stay home as they spent the day with DiL's Mum yesterday, who has tested positive this morning. I hope she's OK.
Glad you're enjoying this beautiful spell of glorious weather, Soop, good to hear that the nurse is pleased with your progress.
We're relaxing after our visitors, steak and stir fry for dinner tonight. Then a glass of wine for Peaky Blinders!
TOYA, NNGB. ???
Hi all, a quiet day for us, MrJ ironed his shirts this morning soop and the grandchildren’s uniforms, the iron and I rarely meet up; fingers crossed moving the fridge sorts the pong.
Blossoming you and Urms have focused me on watching my carbs, I need to lose at least 8lb, preferably a bit more, I’ve started and will continue.
We’re going on a couple of steam trains two weeks today brook, looking at the forecast it’ll be coats and gloves, not surprisingly.
You SueDonim have such a lovely two weeks ahead, a year ago it was not possible, enjoy every minute.
I’m back to the hospital tomorrow with my son, outpatients, to see how his arms is doing, I’m hoping against hope the parking machine will be out of order again, fat chance!
Have a peaceful evening all x
