Radio 2 DJ’s

Thank you Fannycornforth, I am now a Boom radio convert. Good music and less banal yacking from the DJs!

I am a radio four listener, but we used to have radio 2 in the office at work.
One of my male colleagues hated Steve Wright so much, that we had to change stations. He just couldn’t bear him.
I haven’t heard it for years now, but I admit I couldn’t bear smug Tim, know all Janey, and the old woman.

Steve Wright is beyond terrible I thought it was just me as they keep him in work, next total pain. Closely followed by Jeremy Vine, Fern Cotton and that "know it all" Doctor on Sunday nights they all drive me potty, big turn off, which I do.

Ken Bruce, Tony B, Liza Tarbuck, Craig Charles, Johnny Walker, Paul O'grady with my go to bed favourite Trevor Nelson all great.

The rest on R2 I can take or leave.
But I will have to check out Boom Radio Thanks.

I used to have Radio 2 on all day when I was at home.

I really went off R2 when Simon Mayo was ousted out his job. He is now on Greatest Hits Radio between 4-7pm. I have tried to listen as is doing the confessions again and some of his old R2 team are with him. I just can't stand all of the adverts every five minutes. It really spoils the flow of the show.

I liked Graham Norton but he is now on Virgin, as is Chris Evans.

I can't be bothered to keep changing channels to listen to them.

My DH can't stand Zoe Ball when she comes on with our alarm every morning. She seems like a nice person but she can be a bit too much first thing in the morning - like an excitable puppy.

I love Liza Tarbuck and think she is perfect on Saturday night. I listen to it whilst I am cooking dinner.

Not a huge fan or Rylan, Jeremy, Elaine Paige.

As a few others have said, I don't know how Steve Wright is holding on to his job. He has been doing the same programme for years. It sounds really jaded these day. And don't mentioned the DJ Silly Boy thing that he does....drives me mad !!
