I love that portrait! The eyes are wonderful xxx
I gave up driving two years ago. I am nearly 85.
Here we are again
Happy as can be (whatever the circumstances)
All good pals
And jolly good company.
Welcome dear peoples. Tuck into our buffet of home-baked goodies.

I love that portrait! The eyes are wonderful xxx
Whoa nannytopsy slow down, I can’t keep up! Hopes dashed by a very +ve test earlier, frustrating, but I feel less drained today, so it’ll run it’s course, hope others are recovering well.
I’ve been in and out to the garden/greenhouse today, weeding and sowing, lovely weather, sun with some cloud, my daughter and our grandchildren have gone to the Isle of Wight for a short break, it should stay dry.
I hope you’ve had no reaction Charley or maybe just a teeny weeny one.
Pretty as a picture it is soop a talent indeed, you’ve certainly got my share, I have not a jot.
Right, dinner will not make itself, have a lovely evening all. X
I was hoping it’d be a negative test today Jax hoping tomorrow though
It’s been a very wet soggy day here in Inverness but it’s eventually dried up now and I think the forecast is much better. As I couldn’t get in the garden I went to the gym and got wet in the pool and jacuzzi instead ?
Lovely portrait soop , hoping all goes well for Mr Soop tomorrow
Happy Holidays nannytopsy!
I, too, hope all goes well for MrSoop tomorrow. I love the portrait of the dog. I am back at art class on Wednesday for a few weeks. Dgs1 has commissioned a dinosaur painting and will pay in Haribo. I also began a tulip head painting today which I'm happy with so far. I arrived home to a lovely bouquet of roses from mum. She is so difficult but occasionally will show the lovely woman she used to be. I've just had pork with diced, roasted potatoes and assorted veg. Not quite SOAP, Urms, but close. A quiet evening ahead for me. Have a good evening Kitcheners.
Good evening lovely Kitcheners, I have had a wonderful day. Mr. B shopped this morning while I did a few chores, then we drove to a really nice village pub to meet up with BiL. SiL couldn’t make it as she was on voluntary duties at the hospice. We had a delicious meal and I had half a pint of ale with mine. It was lovely to see BiL again, email and chat isn’t the same somehow. I have done my physio and rode my exercise bike and now I’m ready for a nap. This evening’s meal will be a Hot X bun from our local family bakery and a coffee. I think tomorrow’s meal will be a rye Crispbread and a glass of water!
I can’t keep up with all you busy bees today ???
Love the portrait Soop.
Hoping for -ve tests for all our Covid warriors soon and hope MrSoop’s appointment goes well tomorrow.
I love the dog portrait soop . All best wishes for MrSoop tomorrow.
Blossoming your day sounds marvellous - convivial chats and a glass of ale - we don’t need gold and diamonds to be happy do we?
I predict you will be negative by the end of tomorrow Jax.
I waited until 4 o’clock today and I am negative after 9 days.
My appetite is returning and I hope my va va vroom is not far behind.
Have a nice evening all.
Good evening everyone lovely to read your daily news.
Soop that portrait is lovely and you’ve captured the eyes beautifully you are so talented in fact there are wonderfully talented people on here. I have no talent whatsoever. Though DH gets cross and says I’m a talented mother and grandmother. I hope your DHs appointment goes well tomorrow.
Today I’ve been to the gym, went at the same time as DH wow can he talk for England it’s a wonder he gets anything done there. I get my headphones on and get in my zone and talk to no one. DH called me an unsociable bleep! ?
We did our big Easter shop it doesn’t seem right shopping on Good Friday somehow so it’s out of the way today.
Just enjoying the last of the sun in the garden with a glass of wine.
Blossoming it was lovely to hear about your lunch with you BIL.
Enjoy your evening everyone and hope our covid grans feel better tomorrow.
Love to you all?
Good Evening Kitcheners. Three days kitchen news to catch up on. I shall do it in small doses.
Thank you for the messages about MrM. I suspect he is still +ive but after two days of sleep looks a lot better. He is up and about, but just come in and says he has no energy. I started with a bad throat, cough and a headache on Monday but am still testing -ive. I have positive vibs about our 4 days away. 12 days to go. Not a sole will venture close to us until we return.
I binged watched The Split yesterday and today Urm. What an emotional series it is/was. Then giggled all the way through Derry Girls.
ShazzaKanazza Please send some of your growing power along to my rhubarb. It is growing but thinks it is a bonsai version! Don't rhubarb and orange go well together. ??
I've reached Tuesday's posts and and hoping to read next that Tilly and Jax are now negative.
You've set me thinking what tune I'd like my washing machine to play ixion. Some MUSE would suit me.
I'm off to get the Biryani started for dinner. I think I'll raid the freezer then for a salted caramel cornetto for afters to cool my throat.
Can't promise a return visit tonight but I will be back to read the rest of Tuesday's and today's posts. I'm wondering if Grandmabatty will post a picture of the lambs and bunnies.
Muse I think I might scar you emotionally if I were to post the lamb and bunny biscuits! I'll see if I can find one which has ears and post it tomorrow ?
muse we put our rhubarb growing down to keeping the roots covered with upturned plant pots through the winter. Don’t know if you do the same to keep them dry so that possibly helped.
That's a good looking dog portrait, soop. Good wishes to MrSoop for his trip tomorrow, I hope his appointment goes well.
We have our DD & her 2 DD's, (aged 5 & nearly 8), our 2 youngest DGC,), here this week. Absolutely love having them, but I'm feeling exhausted, really feeling my age.!
I send warm wishes to you all, especially those who have added worries about themselves & their families.
Good luck to Mr Soop. What a time you have had soop!
Hope you continue to improve Jaxjacky. It can only be a matter of time that I will have the dreaded positive test...I will be inspired by your fortitude.
Received great osteoporosis tips from the health section. Gransnetters are amazing.
Walked ddog a couple of times, tackled housework and some catch up correspondence including Easter cards. Created a rather wonky Easter tree. Soup made for tomorrow. Heading to bed soon with my pile of books. Thank you soop's kitcheners for your company.
Hurray Tilly I’m so pleased your -ve, and thank you those who ask, I’m on day 7 today, I’ll have itchy fingers tomorrow, but will try and wait until Friday.
Sounds like a lovely lunch Blossoming and a wonderful catch up too.
Sun/garden/wine Shazza magic words. As is biryani muse, good job we’ve eaten already.
Pile of books in bed Dogs heaven, I echo your thoughts on the marvellous company here.
I’d love to have you all sat around my table in the garden. ?
Shazza I would be careful what you wish for because we can organise a coach to go anywhere in a jiffy.
Thanks corner and Jax to date I am fine and intend to stay that way!
The electrician and his assistant were here yesterday and I thought today it was too much of a coincidence that my dishwasher and recently refilled freezer had both died. The dishwasher was their fault but the freezer is a complete mystery at least with an extension it is plugged in elsewhere.
Tilly pleased to hear you are -ve.
That painting is lovely soop and all the best for Mr. Soop tomorrow.
TOYA
Shazza I promise you that, if someone could magic us lot to gather around your garden table, we'd be there is a flash. And wouldn't have a grand time. You may find it nigh impossible to get rid of us.
Mr Soop is now with the consultant. My hopes have been raised but, until he returns, I haven't a clue what will be decided. I shall let you know later this afternoon.
I'm about to take a look at the portrait that has been under the shower. I doubt that I shall be able to rescue it. Which means that I shall need to start afresh. So many hours of work down the pan. My fault entirely.
Shazza I meant to type, "and wouldn't WE have a grand time".
Fingers crossed here soop I imagine there’s a whole kitchen collective of crossed everything’s ??
Definitely many crossed fingers about soop. Good afternoon everyone. Blissful warm day here with slight breeze. Two washes out, bread made, ddog walked and The Archers about to begin. Bliss. Slob time... DH will clock off later and is on holiday til Tuesday. I work both days at the weekend so will make most of Friday and Monday.
Have bizarre urge to dust but will try to ignore it. My best wishes to all especially those for whom life is hard.
I am zooming through my books Jax. Dogs
Of course you know it's Dogs by the bit at the top...
Dogsmakemesmile My advice is...resist that silly urge.
Mr Soop is home again. Good news. He is on the NHS cataract removal list (both eyes) as a priority. He will have the procedure at sometime within the next two months. In the meantime. our pals in the village are kind enough to help with trips to the supermarket. Big sigh of relief. You can uncross your fingers. Thank you. x
That is really good news and the added bonus is the pair of you can have a well-deserved rest from surgical procedures when you feel able and willing to drive.
Could you do online grocery shopping or are you too remote? At least the heavy goods are home delivered.
I would ring the consultant's secretary and say that Mr.Soop could pop with little notice if there is a cancellation so as not to waste precious theatre time. Perhaps he could pack an overnight back to be ready.
soop, me ole pal, please could you explain about the paiting in the shower? I'm flummoxed, but if putting one's paintings in the shower is a thing I need to know about it.
PS good news about MrSoop's cataract ops ❤️?
Baggs, me ole pal, when dissatisfied with a painting, as a last resort I hold it under the shower. This washes away some of the paint and, if I'm lucky, I can dry the portrait and try to revive it with fresh brush strokes. Sadly, portrait number two has failed the test. It has joined the first attempt in the bin. Problem lies with the fact that I cannot see the features clearly and the colour is different in the three images. Hence...a proper mess and all that. Hey ho!. I shall try again over the weekend. Keeps me out of mischief.
Mr Soop is walking on air. Good news regarding the cataracts and the chiropodist has been to deal with two painful corns. He says that he feels like a new man. Bless.
I wish you all a very peaceful and pleasant Easter weekend (when it arrives). We will enjoy a few simple treats but will be remaining here at home. For those of you who will be travelling - safe journeys. For those of you with visitors to entertain - enjoy! For those with continuing health issues - continue to relax and keep taking the meds.
Until tomorrow.

Last night's sky was interesting. Low cloud hung over the sea.
