Soop that is the best news! So happy for your both, perhaps an Autumn break in the Highlands will be a possibility?

Good afternoon lovely Kitcheners, I have been a bit lazy today after yesterday’s outing. I have just spent 30 minutes doing physio followed by 30 minutes uphill exercise cycling. Not too steep a hill at the moment. Coffee and calorie free lemon drizzle cake is on its way, help yourselves.

Resist that urge Dogs, it only stirs up the dust. Better to let it lie.

Grandmabatty Thu 14-Apr-22 16:40:13

Good news on the cataract operation Soop! I have been a lady what lunches today and was no sooner home when dd and the boys arrived for a short visit. I thought I would let you see what I started yesterday. I'm happy with it so far. My painting style is known as 'loose'. My friends usually snort with laughter at me being loose. Have a good evening Kitcheners.

muse Thu 14-Apr-22 16:40:22

That's excellent news soop. Two months will whiz by. Lovely neighbours you have.

Hello again Dogsmakemesmile. I'm not posting as much as I would like to but good to see you and what a busy day today. Glorious weather here to in Cornwall. I'm slobbing too, in between dozes.

I don't do that but will do Shazza.

Soon be time to put your feet up gillgran. What a pleasure to have them all with you.

I had a little melt down this morning. Following so many -ive tests, I was convinced I'd got a heavy cold, then I tested +ive this morning. MrM is well on the road to recovery and I hope to be so soon. 10 days till our holiday. I think I would have had much than a melt down if it had been next week.

?Tilly . Hope Jax is next with good news.

Grandmabatty Thu 14-Apr-22 16:41:28

Oh no ! Muse Rotten luck. I hope you feel better soon. ?

Blossoming Thu 14-Apr-22 16:49:50

So sorry to hear that Muse hope it’s not too severe flowers

TillyTrotter Thu 14-Apr-22 17:11:04

For you muse . I have PM’d you.

Good to hear Mr soop is on the urgent list for eye treatment. ?

Grannyeggs Thu 14-Apr-22 17:13:00

So glad it’s good news for Mr Soop, Soop , you must be relieved. Am visiting your kitchen after having 2 of the Gc today. They are 2 and6, adorable but exhaustingsmile . Am supposed to be cooking for the weekend, but will do it tomorrow before DD2 and the teenagers arrive in the evening. Wishing you all a Happy Easter

TillyTrotter Thu 14-Apr-22 17:21:33

I love your “loose” style Tulip painting Grandmabatty. Great work, it must be satisfying. ?

mrshat Thu 14-Apr-22 17:27:39

soop great news for Mrsoop and his cataracts. Sorry to hear about all the +ve tests in the kitchen and hope you all will have a mild dose and a speed recovery.
Happy Easter all and take good care flowers

brook2704 Thu 14-Apr-22 17:29:12

That’s brilliant news soop so pleased for Mr Soop! Thank you for the explanation about the portrait in the shower, I too was a bit puzzled … and thanks to Baggs for asking !

gillgran Thu 14-Apr-22 17:30:56

Good news for Mr*Soop*, our eyes are very precious.

Sorry to hear that you have tested positive muse, I hope that you don't get too unwell & that you make a good recovery, ready for your holiday.

This is our last full day with DD & her DDs, they came on Sunday & go home tomorrow. I do love them coming to stay, but find it exhausting, I do miss them when they've gone home, the house is so quiet.
We do have our middle DGC quite a bit, she is nearly 13, & is "special", (that's our DS's youngest, (of 3)), they only live about half-an-hour away. Now THAT'S tiring..!! smile

Warm wishes to you all.

brook2704 Thu 14-Apr-22 17:33:53

Oh no muse hopefully you’ll be better soon and in time for your holiday, take care and look after yourself

Chocolatelovinggran Thu 14-Apr-22 17:34:42

Lovely work, Grandmabatty. What a talented group you are. My painting is strictly limited to emulsion/ gloss, and I'm not much good at that...

Grandmabatty Thu 14-Apr-22 17:42:10

Thank you Tillytrotter and Chocolate. Still needs lowlights and glazing done.

Jaxjacky Thu 14-Apr-22 18:12:00

Good news soop my crossed fingers were getting cramp, two months will pass in a whizz.
Bum muse, well I’m on day 8 and a faded line today, minimal fatigue, so I’m hoping you’ll be fine, got to cross those fingers again!
Grandmabatty i like that, as long as nothing else is loose you’re ok.
It’s been high cloud all day today, we’ve been feeding my daughters cats, one of them, a Bengal, was using my leg as a climbing frame, one hides and hisses, I like the other one ?.
Ours only come en masse for short periods gillgran as they’re local, a day, hopefully this Sunday, is perfect.
I must be away, I’ll pop back to catch up.

Dogsmakemesmile Thu 14-Apr-22 18:29:07

Muse I hope your symptoms remain the same and you recover rapidly. Your holiday will be extra special.x

ShazzaKanazza Thu 14-Apr-22 18:32:15

Good evening you lovely kitcheners. Well what a lovely day it’s been. Hubby set up a new table and chairs set. Had my best friends over and DD with baby B so I’ve had my granny snuggles. I love nuzzling her thick jet black hair it’s yum. Nothing like breathing in the youth.
Soop so great to hear about DH that he’s on the priority cattaract list. ?he won’t be waiting long. It’s great you have plenty of support?
Dogsmakemesmile the only time I get the urge to dust is when the sun shines through the window and I realise how thick it is.
Enjoy your evening everyone. Just watching the new comedy Hullraisers based in our delightful city of Hull. It will certainly open your eyes if you come for a visit lol x

ShazzaKanazza Thu 14-Apr-22 19:00:54

Grandmabatty that’s a lovely picture. Another talented gran.
Muse sorry you’ve tested positive. You’ll be fine for your holiday in 10 days I’m sure?

Baggs Thu 14-Apr-22 19:17:47

I like your painting, Grandmabatty. I'm aiming for a loose style too but so far so splodge is all ?

cornergran Thu 14-Apr-22 20:08:33

That’s good news soop, you must both be more than relieved.

Fingers crossed for a swift recovery muse.

I have no ability with art and am always in awe of the work fellow Kitcheners share.

We’ve had a wonderful time with our Littlest. Here for a rare sleepover every moment was precious. It seems very quiet without him.

Good wishes to all. TOYA.

brook2704 Thu 14-Apr-22 21:01:01

I’m the same cornergran I’m hopeless at Art and always have been, but I’m so impressed by the talent of so many of the grans in the kitchen
Hoping everyone spending family time with DGC has a lovely time and enjoy those precious cuddles! ?

Urmstongran Thu 14-Apr-22 21:16:09

‘Evening All’

Just put two tired grandchildren to bed. They’ve been at a wedding all afternoon then enjoyed the first hour of the evening disco. Mum & dad are staying over at the hotel. A lie in and a cooked breakfast - they’re joyous. L’il Miss just said “I’m missing mama” as I tucked her in. I laughed and said she’s only away one night, not a week! She giggled.

Chocolatelovinggran Thu 14-Apr-22 21:26:25

Oh, Urmstongran , I suspect no lie - in for you!

Urmstongran Thu 14-Apr-22 21:34:45

soop I could truly sit and look out at your view for hours. I find it soothing. I love being beside water. What a grand location.

Sorry to hear you’ve succumbed to Covid muse but as you say, better now than next week. Get well soon ready for your holiday. Where are you off to? Must have missed the memo.

Grandmabatty you are so talented! I love the tulip colours.

Urmstongran Thu 14-Apr-22 21:37:37

No rest for grandma indeed CLG! These 2 wake at 6:30am every morning. ?
