Well, it would be interesting to view and experience life from a different perspective but I think not.
When I was a child, I was what you call a tomboy. I preferred to play with the boys (marbles, not skipping!), I preferred their toys (Meccano not dolls) and was the first in my peer group to adopt jeans and trousers which I've preferred ever since. As an adult, I liked working with men, especially after experiencing working in an office of catty women, and worked in a male dominated industry.
As a child I occasionally I asked myself whether I would have preferred to have been born a man and the answer was always a resounding no. I never felt I really was a male in a woman's body but with all the talk about gender identification these days, I wonder what I would be thinking if I were a young person now.
It's hard if you feel you are in the wrong body I'm sure, and now people have choices they can make so I'm hoping that's a good thing.
