Assuming the option was available?

No I don't think so, but I would've liked not having periods, going through labour and the menopause! Having to shave is no comparison ?

grandMattie Tue 03-May-22 09:15:16

A woman, but only if I can live in the First World; otherwise a man!

Blossoming Tue 03-May-22 09:16:27

No, I’d come back as a cat.

MissAdventure Tue 03-May-22 09:17:37

I'd have a house proud partner (the kind who insists on doing everything herself) then I'd open my wardrobe and gaze at all my neatly lined up shirts, overjoyed that I had nothing whatsoever to do with keeping then that way. smile

No, I’d come back as a cat.

Love that Blossoming but She or Tom? wink

Blossoming

No, I’d come back as a cat.

Oh yes. A female cat. A queen

I can’t imagine being a man at all.

MissAdventure Tue 03-May-22 09:25:05

I'd be a tom cat.
I find queens to be a bit neurotic.

Blossoming Tue 03-May-22 09:25:08

Definitely a she Bluesky.

Urmstongran Tue 03-May-22 09:25:41

Definitely not! I love being a woman. And I’m no domestic goddess - I don’t iron, don’t bake cakes or biscuits but love putting on eyeliner, mascara and lipstick and choosing colours for nail polish. When I think of all the work Himself has done over the years - no thank you!

I’ve had cats all my life misadventure and the females have always been bolder and more independent than the males. Maybe it’s the way I pick the kittens.

MissAdventure Tue 03-May-22 09:29:13

I went through a little spate of feeling quite feminine, but I don't give it a thought these days.
I'm just a person at this moment in time.

MissAdventure Tue 03-May-22 09:32:05

I've had 2 girl cats and one was very nervy, and a bit unreliable about the toilet arrangements, and the other liked to be left alone.
My boy cats were more easy going and friendly.

Bellasnana Tue 03-May-22 09:32:40

Absolutely not!?

LadyGracie Tue 03-May-22 09:32:57

If I came back as a woman I’d want a different body without the problems. Otherwise I’d happily come back as a man. Or a cat!

Shelflife

I am also happy being a woman. Froglady , your post has caught my attention and I hope you are ok. You are clearly very sure that feel you should be male. I wonder how much that is due to the fact that you knew how much your Mum wanted a boy?
Whatever , I hope you are living a fulfilling life and are able to come to an acceptance of your situation.

That's the question isn't it? Would I have felt that way had I not known my mum wanted a boy? I'm 69 now so I have to accept my situation but am so pleased that people do have a choice these days, as nature can make mistakes and people are born into the wrong bodies.
Thank you for your kind thoughts.

I definitely wouldn't be your partner then!

MissAdventure Tue 03-May-22 09:36:33

When you saw my beard, you'd not be able to resist me. grin

Chocolatelovinggran Tue 03-May-22 09:40:55

Come back again? No thanks. You know what they say " you only live once, but if you get it right once is enough "

Kate1949 Tue 03-May-22 09:41:08

I'm hoping not to come back at all. Knowing my luck I'd come back as me.

Iam64 Tue 03-May-22 09:41:18

Definitely not. As an 8-10 year old I thought boys had more fun and played with them rather than girls
My first feminist take on life was when mum answers my question at age 12 about why there were no women news readers. Being involved in the womens movement from the early 70’s - great

Oooh, I don’t like bearded men. Never know what lurks in those beards and as for kissing one, I have sensitive skin which would be permanently red in the kissing areas!

MissAdventure Tue 03-May-22 09:45:41

I never played with boys, I was far too timid and shy.
I thought they were rough and horrible.

Germanshepherdsmum Tue 03-May-22 09:47:19

Nah MissA, can't stand beards, sorry. I'm sure you'd find someone else who would get huge pleasure from doing all the housework, ironing, cooking and stroking your facial furniture though - but definitely not me!!!

Blondiescot Tue 03-May-22 09:47:20

I think it would be quite interesting to experience the world from a male perspective - but only for a wee while! I wouldn't want to do so permanently.

Blossoming Tue 03-May-22 09:48:39

Froglady my mum had 3 boys and 1 girl before me. When she was pregnant she was so convinced I was going to be a boy that she and my dad had picked the name Michael for me. I went through a spell of being ‘Michael’ when I was 8 or 9 but only because I wanted to do the adventurous stuff my brothers did. They could be quite overprotective of me, I wonder if they would have been the same to a little boy?
