If money, space or property design was no problem what luxury would you treat yourself to.
I think mine would be a 20 metre swimming pool full of lovely warm water. Oh and a hunky pool man to keep it clean!
What selfish indulgence would you have?

live in a remote country house ,offering respite for people frazzled by modern life, hot tubs, meditation space etc
not ran by myself though!

Someone to wash and blow dry my hair twice a week. A personal stylist to help me buy a completely new wardrobe of clothes. Private medical care for all my family.

I'd build myself a bungalow big enough for my dd to live at home with care on hand and horses on our land for us to ride. A big greenhouse with a kitchen garden and maybe a swimming pool.
How shallow grin

Access to all private medical care

Dream home (would take a bit of thought to get it perfect) and a chauffeur. Personal masseuse. For starters . . .

Enough money ? to pay for good health ? and never to have to worry about bills ?.

A pair of Filipino maids living rent free in a house I’d buy them. With my washing, ironing, housework and tidying up being the price of the rent. All to be done when I’m not there and out gallivanting.

A really first class instrument for my musician DC.

A bungalow by the sea with enough outdoor space to have lots of rescue dogs so they can have space to run around and won't annoy the neighbours. I wouldn't mind a chauffeur too as I don't really enjoy driving anymore.

I was so lucky to travel business class to Australia in January 2020 before the pandemic and swore I would newer travel any other way! Now the fare has nearly tripled for Business class, so I am compromising with Premium Economy, which is still 25% more than my previous business class fare! Oh! If only money were no object!!! Maybe I should join the Leiber party and borrow one of their money trees!

A gardener who wouldn’t dig up my flowers. I’m finding it difficult now.

Anneeba Sat 04-Jun-22 12:09:56

I'd finance ubiquitous Sure Start programmes that also provided healthy meals for all users, open dog and cat centres for strays abroad (neutering a priority, plus de-flea and tick drops) heart-breaking to see the cats in Kefalonia where we were lucky enough to be on holiday recently, (a large bag of Iams took up half my luggage going out grin), plus a frivolous endless supply of top quality scented candles, heavy on the vanilla please. Note to all scented candle haters, you probably won't ever have the displeasure of visiting me anyway ha!

A house in a rural location, preferably near the sea so I could rescue more dogs and other animals... I'd like to take those with health issues or elderly dog's.

Staff, luxuries, experiences, private jet and first class medical support.

A woman chauffeur. I had someone to drive me to and from work. He moved in . Big mistake !

gillyjp Sat 04-Jun-22 12:26:06

An ocean going super yacht with all relevant staff, swimming pool, helipad, etc.

Juliet27 Sat 04-Jun-22 12:34:24

Same here bluesmum ?

mistymitts Sat 04-Jun-22 12:36:12

Good health in body and mind, and being free from financial worries, I could enjoy the rest of my life travelling in comfort to far off places and to visit my children. But couldn’t do this if I was not fit and healthy.

Ktsmum Sat 04-Jun-22 12:36:30

A chauffeur and a swimming pool

mistymitts Sat 04-Jun-22 12:38:21

Oh yes, and a trip to the hair dresser once a month.

A huge mansion with large self-contained apartments for family - AC and GC. Within the grounds a farm for DS whose heart lies in animal husbandry, but works in the financial sector. Stables for GC to own and lean to ride horses.

Ha ha. Another vote for fresh bed linen daily. I spend so much time in mine these days. A weekly change can’t come fast enough. I think I need to add a new mattress to my list though. Mine has seen better days.
I do like cotton sheets with a high thread count. They feel so much nicer than poly cotton (crap). I’ve got a pillow that was £150. The best £150 I’ve spent in a long time. It’s so supportive and firm. When I’m in hospital it comes with me. Shame I cat take my own linen in.

Secretsquirrel1 Sat 04-Jun-22 12:59:57

MerylStreep

A runway with my own private jet ?

Me too! I’d love to be able to go on holiday abroad and take the dog as she Couid travel with us in the cabin.

Bluesmum I have also flown B.Class to Oz, twice, preCovid. I’m in Australia at present, flew out here with my DH, “cattle class”, (believe it or not, all B.Class seats for the dates we wanted were sold out). Due to fly home on Friday, dreading it, as the flight out was truly awful. NEVER again….
