Don’t know if it’s me or anyone else feels the same, seems that they didn’t have much success in coming back for the queens platinum jubilee, then suddenly they go back to USA, and now are showing photographs of Lillebet, .. in my opinion, a little too late. They hardly shown any of Archie since he was born, is it now to try and gain ‘brownie points’ and win the public over…. Don’t get me wrong whatever photos they show of the little ones are adorable, but to me a little too late…

I love Prince Louis, I particularly found the hand over the mouth inflicted on his mum funny, not so amusing I imagine when on the receiving end of that, but Catherine dealt with all of his shenanigans very well, given the eyes of the world were upon them all grin I predict some detentions ahead and a few boundaries being pushed to their limits! He is such a gorgeous little boy.

If I'd behaved in public like that when I was four I'd have got a skelp and been taken home with no tea.

And me. Different days different ways now though.

Well they were accompanied by a make-up artist from the States. Maybe I'll send mine on ahead to France next month!

I'm really trying to word a post that won't get me banned, but its hard.

How grown women can be so nasty to people they don't know, and who have no impact on their lives, is really beyond me.

They came back and kept a low profile. They were not (as has been alleged many times on these threads) accompanied by a Netflix film crew or photographer. I have no doubt it's a great disappointment to some that they behaved so well.

I do wish people would realise that Meghan had a career and was involved in charitable work and work to help women and girls way before she met Harry.

It doesn't matter to me but they were accompanied by a photographer (as discussed in this thread).

I agree with maddyone's two posts.

So what do we suggest?

Should they get jobs in MacDonalds and keep the hats pulled down over their eyes?

The thing they are both good at is acting or schmoozing. Those things happen in the public eye. Whatever they do, they are going to be accused of "playing on their connections" but when he gets a job with a company posters denigrate the job and say its not a real job anyway.

Perhaps they should re-train as plumbers.

It's very pretty name and due to be high on the favourite baby names charts. Rather creative of Harry and Meghan to have named their daughter Lilibet. I love the name.

Not a fan of Meghan by any means , but at least she smiled during the visit. Harry, who doesn’t seem to realise he is now a grown man , scowled the whole time practically.

I noticed that too. He’s got what he wanted hasn’t he? Or perhaps not.

Caleo Tue 07-Jun-22 11:06:22

Annsixty, I think that "awful nose-thumbing thing" is part of the general disrespect for parents just because they are parents. You see disrespect for traditional status in all social classes.

I feel it's horrid in any social class especially as it affects disrespect for older people. I am sure his mother and father will make sure the little son behaves better in future.

maddyone Tue 07-Jun-22 11:05:57

They are entitled to make a living.

Yes, of course they are. However why do you think Netflix are interested in making a fly on the wall series about them? Are Netflix making a fly on the wall series about you? Or me? No? Well that’s because because we haven’t got any family background, such as being royal, to sell.

Charles and .Camilla , criticism welcomed

Megan and Harry, a hate fest.

Oh sure…. Mention m and h and in everyone goes.

There’s already a thread about a photo of Lilibet.

How many more ?

That's another nice fiction dreamt up by the papers, isn't it? Not true of course.

I'm glad the Queen had a family weekend as well as the formal and informal Jubilee celebrations. The photo of Lilibet is delightful as are the photos of my grandson I have plastered over my Facebook page (to my friends and family) from our lovely family weekend. As for little Louis his tantrum is all over the pace and the videos will now dog him for life. Can't be long before the tabloids find an alliterative nickname for him if they haven't done so already. I enjoyed all the photos, most of the TV coverage and the frocks!! A great national holiday I thought. As for the pair in the OP - time will tell!!!! hmm

Where do children pick up that awful nose thumbing thing?
It looks dreadful and I would not be happy if my C or GD did it.
The baby is beautiful.

I read a Horrid Henry story to my GS where Henry tells Perfect Peter that that's how you greet the Queen. I wonder if Louis has had the same story?

The only interest in their private lives is through their connection to royalty.

RichmondPark Tue 07-Jun-22 09:40:25

I was happy to see them and thought they looked well and were welcomed into their family. To me they didn't seem to put a foot wrong while they were back but for some people they will never put a foot right.
