Eeek! Manchester Tart, custard etc am exactly the same - remember being sat on my own in the school dining room whilst Mrs Pearson from Class 5 stood over whilst |I point blank refused to eat Manchester Tart! I would eat the swirl of cream off the top and drop the lump of custard out and eat the pastry and jam, but the custard, NO! Same with the milk puddings - others used to lick their spoon and 'bagsy' the skin, as far as I was concerned they were welcome to it! But their cheese pie was delicious and I have never found anything like it since - wasn't a quiche all eggy, was just like a lovely pastry case full of warm red soft cheese, yummy!

Avocado, hot milk, tripe, octopus, oysters and most offal. There's more but I need to eat supper and it's putting me off

Heinz beans or butter beans. Revolting!

Cod roe, my Mum loved it but the smell alone is enough to put anyone off.

One of my favourite things to eat was hard herring roe but I haven’t seen it about for years, I think maybe the fish are caught too young now…..

Shinamae - we fairly often had a pig's head sitting in brine in the pantry. Dad cooked one for any occasion where there would be a buffet going on! It would be dressed up for the table with cherries and angelica and have an orange in its mouth. He would carve it.
I have a vague memory of brains spooned out like paté (is that likely??).

I don’t know that he ate the brains and I believe the pigs cheeks were called chaps.My dad never used to dress it,I think he just used to boil it,get it out the pan and eat it…?..

Eurgh! I remember my father eating pig's cheeks. Huge lumps of shiny white fat with a tiny sliver of pale pink flesh in the middle. Bleurgh!

Thankfully, I think my parents had a healthy dislike of extreme eating.

Tripe, very soft boiled eggs where the white is not set. Fried herring roe, sea urchins (fishy equivalent of tripe)

I love oysters and whelks and sweetbreads though.

Hate sprouts , in any shape or form, disguise them if you like and it’s still a no no! Also any thing which came out of a pig, sheeps or cows stomach! And just to be trendy, tofu !

Snails, liver, broad beans or butter beans, it's a texture thing.

Liver, shellfish, avocado (makes me ill) anything slimy.

I forgot lobsters and crabs, and anything else that’s boiled alive.

When people who do it and tell me they don’t feel it, I just hope they get reincarnated as a crab or lobster, and see how they like it.

In any case, any least with lobsters. I gather that there’s a quick and humane way of killing them with a skewer through a certain point on their heads.

There's a man on youtube who bought a lobster from the food department of a store, but has set up a big tank for him.
Leon the lobster leads a very orderly life, and has gained lots of fans.
