Getting beaten up and filmed etc by feral gangs
Has this been happening to people?
Sewing on Girl Guide badges, aaargh!!
I am procrastinating and need to stop!
Apart from death , what are your worries for your Grandchildren?
Getting beaten up and filmed etc by feral gangs
Has this been happening to people?
Don’t know about feral gangs but there have been news reports of gangs of children attacking others and filming it for the internet. Can’t remember where it was but several girls and a boy had clumps of their hair pulled out.
The lies my son and daughter in law will tell about me as my 3 grandson's grow up. Never met the third or know his name not seen the older 2 in person since March 2020 . I didn't do anything wrong so will never understand why I have been cut out of their lives.

This happens a lot. I can’t believe you aren’t aware of this. It happened to one of my son’s friend’s daughter a few weeks ago.
They won't have babies because of the climate emergency.
the possibility that the UK will become an Islamic country - that worries me a lot.
Don’t be so bloody ridiculous. There are more than 66 million people living in the UK and only around 3 million are Muslim. So around 5%. The UK is not going to become a Muslim country unless 62 million of us up and leave. There are also 1 million Hindus, are you worried about us becoming a Hindu country? Or just brainwashed by the daily Mail into believing every Asian person you see is Muslim?
Are you a journalist BB2013?

Are you a journalist BB2013?
Few posts from bb2013, apart from a thread started in September when , again, a short question was posed. Odd.
The youngest has just started university aiming for a career in the music industry I hope he can withstand the disappointment and the temptations and just make music and enjoy it at whatever level. He is realistic but also talented and keen to get on.
Don’t be so bloody ridiculous
Don’t be so bloody rude!! I don’t know about anyone else but I don’t read the Daily Mail and you have no idea how many Muslims, or people in general, are in this country. What a stupid comment!
On the big scale, it has to be climate change.
On the personal scale, DGD1 is severely disabled with epilepsy, cerebral palsy, learning difficulties, and almost no sight.
I dont want her to die, it would be a fit, she is in danger in that way. So there's no "part from" like in the OP. she's a living an much loved child.
How can you have dreams for your grandchildren it’s their life their dreams they may well be totally opposite to your dreams
My only hopes are that they stay fit and happy in whatever way they choose and which ever choices they make
Well, at least this thread gave me a good laugh this morning. What a ridiculous statement about fear of UK becoming an Islamic country!!!! Oh well, if that is someone greatest fear they can rest assured that it is not going to happen.
Obviously, for the majority of us our fears are more inbedded in what is actually happening, so climate change - and how it will effect future generations is probably our greatest worry.
When I replied at the start of this thread that it was the present government it was not meant as a throwaway remark. The damage they are doing with Fracking, giving to the rich and taking from the rest of us, making UK a laughing stock in the eyes of the rest of the world, encouraging people to blame everyone else(except the government) for the problems happening. Building up the fear of anyone who looks different, speaks differently, etc.etc.
My eldest g.daughter is well on her way to training as a Social Worker - brave decision - not taken lightly, another wants to train as an Environmental Scientist. Like my own children, it appears as if my g.children are looking to take careers in the Caring Professions - I am so proud that they are - and so concerned that they are!!!!!
A question was posted by the OP, nobody has to answer if they do not wish to.
I think it an interesting question.
Whatever people give as their answer should not be ridiculed,
It is one of their fears as requested .
Mine is that they may be attacked in the street, and also the worry about war, either conventional or nuclear.
The environment, the demise of public services such as NHS, Policing,
Properly funded education for all,
- and living a joyless life where everything is quantified by how much one earns and having to work longer and longer hours for the same pay,- and kindness and tolerance are regarded as some quaint old notion
My fear is they are relying too much on the technology they have now as they grow up. If that ceases can they adapt. I like all the new bits and bobs we have now but also know how to live without
Only recently I printed out some very basic information about climate change and sustainability. I put it into a file for my GC. It will hopefully fit in when school put the subject on their syllabus. It is a big concern that should be taught as soon as possible.
Violence drugs bullying all these things do exist everywhere. There are feral gangs causing problems a mile from where we live in a very prosperous area. It does occur because of the lack parental control. What does not help is the lack of police presence. They are only visible here when there is an incident. The rest of the time they are invisible so there is no deterrent to prevent bad behaviour.
My GC as young as they are sit down to work on what they are given from school. They have a routine a structure which is important like their parents they will not roam the streets when they are older.
I want the best future my GC can possibly have as happy healthy individuals. I would like them to have lots of opportunities to help them achieve their goals in life.

I have Muslim friends. They're peace loving, family orientated people. The Muslims you're talking about are extremists. Which are found in every religion and are a tiny minority.
You are offensive. Are you aware that the majority of Muslims are white people that look just like you and me?

Could YOU or any of us really know how to live without technology. Not just the more modern ones, but those we have grown up as accepting as the norm. Electricity, cars, trains, flushing toilets, radio, clothes, shoes all made up, food available to purchase, etc. etc.
How far do you think we can go back - stoneage maybe, all live in caves, wear animal skins and only eat what we can kill.grow. Technology has been with mankind for thousands of years, not just the last few decades.
My fear for my DGS is two fold. He is brown, so I'm afraid of racists. A brown boy in this country is not safe. Not on the streets or from the police.
I'm also afraid of global warming. So much so we have considered moving even further North in the UK. I certainly hope he doesn't have children of his own, because just in DGS's lifetime, life is going to be pretty unbearable as a result of GW.
"the possibility that the UK will become an Islamic country - that worries me a lot."
The UK regime has recently been more authoritarian less liberal. However it's extremely unlikely it will become an Islamic republic. There are many more pressing problems than Islam.

Why are you talking about Muslims being white and me being offensive? It is you who are offensive with your predilection for jumping to conclusions. You are typical of the type of race baiter that cries racism at every opportunity. I have no problem with anyone’s skin colour and that has nothing to do with Islam.
I don’t want my young grandchildren to live in an Islamic country and, in spite of your politically correct denials, nor do you. We already have Sharia law, calls to prayer and segregation of sexes in the UK. Don’t try and tell me I’m offensive and that applies to you too Franbern.
I’d love dearly to tell you what I really think of your comments but will refrain and clean the bathroom instead

Try being a Jewish boy. Now that’s really unsafe.

This shouldn't be getting dumped on the young ones.
Adults, now, should be tackling it.
Admittedly, some are, but not to the extent that's really needed.

I'm very sorry to hear that it is happening.
