Its dark but dry here in brackley this morning .
Today my usual trip to Bicester to have a glance around street market .

Marydoll was a kerfuffle!
Our GP practice emails any prescription request if I attend the surgery, to the independent pharmacy next door to where we live. Instant service, much appreciated. Surely any distance ‘in miles’ doesn’t matter with today’s technology?

If it were me, I’d go into the chemist nearest to you for your convenience and discuss this ridiculous situation with them. Honestly Boots & your surgery don’t seem ‘compatible’ or efficient in any way!

Urmston my prescriptions go from the surgery straight to the pharmacy across the road, after that it all falls apart.
It's supposed to be a 48hr window. It never is.
This time it was ten days!

Good Morning from a rather dour S Yorks.

Yesterday was a dressing gown day and I'd decided to relieve Cabin Fever with a walk in he High Peak, but its not nice enough so it will be the gym later.

Yesterday evening there was a lovely Quaker Zoom spiritual group. Its more like a wee support group really and so nice not to have to go out on a cold evening.

I am near Chatsworth, enjoy those who make it.

Well Marydoll I would have hit the duvet directly on coming home! what a day!

Just popped back to say, what an awful day yesterday was for you Marydoll. Perhaps it’s time to consider changing your GP and pharmacy to the town you live in. I know this would seem like a big upheaval but the current bunch you are having to deal with appear to be detrimental to your health and well-being as opposed being on the ball regarding your medical needs. Maybe something to think about. Hope your day if more relaxing.
Safe travels home Urms
Thank you Grandmabatty our meeting should just be a straightforward catch-up on how DH is progressing, which is now, very well. I hope your friend is well enough for a visit. Your perfumed hand cream is such a lovely gift along with a visit from you which will cheer her up I’m sure.

How about Pharmacy Direct online Marydoll they deliver?

Urmstongran Fri 11-Nov-22 09:59:16

I think I was trying more to suggest the prescriptions go to a chemist nearer to your home Marydoll (maybe an independent?) to save you the arduous car journey back and forth all the time. Perhaps this isn’t an option though?

Good morning Mick and everyone. It’s cloudy and grey in my corner of Lancashire.

I have dreadful chilblains which are making it hard to type at the moment. My hands get so cold so easily so I’m wearing gloves all the time, even in bed.

This afternoon will be my usual routine of housework, physio, cycling and Gaelic studies.

Oh dear Baubles, I hope your day improves.

You sound so stressed Marydoll, I hope you have a better day today. I used to have similar problems with the pharmacy next door to my GP, since I switched to Morrisons which is nearer to our house I’ve had no problems and they are very helpful. The previous pharmacy has since been closed, I’m not surprised as I’m not the only one who had issues with them.

Safe journey Urms.

Hope your husband is on the mend MultiColourSwapshop, you and he have really been through the mill.

Have a good day all 🌞

Popped back in also to say that I am sorry about your awful day Marydoll

Grannysomerset, wrt smart meter, don`t expect it to be fully up and running seamlessly for at least a month and you have to take an actual reading from the meter about a month after installation, that sets the final ball rolling

Re losing a key. Living on my own, I have a well wrapped buried key under the soil, outside, told my AC, who have keys anyway, and told my neighbour and I never ever put the door chain on

Good morning from a wild windy Durham. Surprisingly there is no damage to my fence or garden, although an old dustbin has gone missing. We are forecast another unseasonably warm day - I’m not complaining, but the wind is a worry. I have a nail appointment this afternoon with DD2 then we are off to pick up her new car – it’s been on order almost a year. We secured it when the Motability down payment was £1250, since increased to £4000+, but I’m sure they have to honour the original quote - time will tell! A friend’s son was so put off by the new down payments, that he has elected to keep the same car. I might take a wander around a few car show rooms while we’re there, as my current car will be 10 years old at the end of this month and has cost me so much this year that I am beginning to lose faith with it.
gM I think you or your DL will have to chase up your solicitor on her flat purchase, otherwise it will be dealt with as non urgent.
Marydoll I’m speechless, it’s one thing after another - you deserve a rest!
Must rush, DD1 has just pulled up outside - on a mission to change a couple of downlighters for me that I just can’t reach.
Best wishes to all.

Good morning Mick and all from Windy Ways northwest coast.
DD arrived last night from the south and we had a civilised meal in the dining room with the candles lit. She declared the chicken casserole extremely tasty and I was glad as my cooking skills are now rusty.
I endured an episode of Celebrity with her, but we both agreed it was extremely boring, I reading my book.
She helped me with some techie stuff and is out on a run to the next village. Rather her than me..,
After taking some jumble to the charity shop, we will go to the cemetery and see how the headstone for DH is coming on.
She is out with old friends tonight and I will enjoy a quiet night after a busy week.
Glad to hear your progress Ashcombe and the heartening news re your GDS.
Thoughts to all with worries 🌼
