I was going to post this on the Gloomy thread but thought I'd start a new photograph thread so we can see how the year develops in pictures.
This was taken yesterday from Hungerford Bridge - it's not a great photo but shows St Paul's shining in the drizzly cold gloomy early evening.
One of dd’s 3 sibling cats, just about fully grown now. She is very cuddly and tolerant of 3 very cuddle-loving young Gdcs.
Primroses and forsythia last week in Derbyshire.
Blossom on todays walk
A pot of snakeshead fritillaries and teeny tiny narcissus that I always look forward to seeing in the spring.
Ornamental cherry blossom in the garden.
No that's not me TillyTrotter!
Whenever there's anything nationally significant going on e.g. wedding, funeral, change of PM, Brexit vote, whatever, my best friend and I go on a walking recce to have a gander! We both live about 1.5 miles from the action so head off to see what we can see.
There are a few people bagging their place - the Welsh lady, I'm assuming she's Welsh, said she arrived this morning.
Each to their own!
A corner of spring flowers in my garden.
My brother, sister and I in our old stamping ground last week. I’m on the left.
Coronation day in 1953. I was 18 months old. My cousin aged 5 and I were in the local fancy dress competition. I was dressed as a rosette and my cousin was a crown. My aunt made the costumes. I remember nothing about it at all.
A scene of tenderness and love this morning.
A swan tenderly caring for her fluffy brood, seen this week.
When the sea is like a mirror at 6.30 am and meets the sky.
And sunrise
I love this photo, taken at the botanical gardens; it looks as if they are on lookout!
