Regarding the fact that there are "Scottish Voices” at Westminster...
If you are of the opinion that Scotland is just another region of the UK, like Yorkshire or Surrey, for instance, that equal representation for equal population is perfectly valid. However Scotland is a country that entered into a voluntary union with England but is only give a 10% representation in the government of the Union. I can rant for ages about the Parcel o’ Rogues who got us into this position, but I’ll desist just now.
The smallest countries in the EU have an equal say to the largest, and can pass laws for their own countries, but that’s not the case in the UK. The Westminster government can over-rule an act passed in the Scottish Parliament by a huge majority of MSPs from all parties. And they recently have, haven’t they? Putting us in our place, and telling us that we are subservient to what the big boys down in Westminster want.
So admonitions that we have nothing to complain about because we have “a voice in Westminster” aren’t going to cut it any more.
