Sorry all this is a moan, hoping to warn everyone away from a company called Prestige Flowers! Had used them for a while with a couple of hiccups that were rectified. One delivery to Southend instead of Clacton, another to the wrong address but retrieved by my DS walking the street till found!
Ordered flowers for DS&DDiL’s Anniversary! Correct address, correct date & payment in full! Order accepted! On the day no flowers so next day traced them to Chelmsford instead of Colchester! Emailed Prestige with no explanation given only that there may have been problems with Couriers, who happen to be one of the worst-Royal Mail! Two days later flowers arrived dead & smelling bad! Sent numerous emails & pics of the dead blooms all to no avail! Answers to my emails were excuses & a miserable recompense of £5, an insult! Will not get my money back nor replacement flowers sent! This Company are now ignoring my emails!
So please all GNetters do not trust this company. They will take your money & run!

Thanks for the tip off 😃

Did you pay by credit card? You may have some recompense there.

You’re not alone.

Unfortunately I made the mistake of paying on my debit card! Stupid I know now! Not being able to get my money back is why I have posted on GN & Social Media to try to make anyone thinking of using Prestige not to take the chance! Since starting this have found many others in the same boat! Hopefully as my friend said Karma will get them soon!

Hellogirl1 Wed 14-Jun-23 17:56:06

Have you outed them on Facebook?

You may be able to do a Chargeback from your Debit Card provider. I’m not sure how one goes about it, but an internet search is bound to help!

Can't you claim against Royal Mail, as they obviously failed to deliver them?

SillyNanny321 Wed 14-Jun-23 21:51:07

Yes Hetty58! Posted on Facebook, Next Door as well as on here!

My son is investigating ways we can try. Let you know if we find one. Seems this has been done to very many people from replies I have had!

I often send flowers ordered on the Internet and this Company is the worst one I have ever used,M&S have always proved to be the best in my experience.

It's so disappointing when a company doesn't fulfil an order.
I've ordered from Flying Flowers and they've been very good .

I find Interflora a little patchy .

I'm reeling from the shock of having poor service from Marks and Spencers at the moment .

A friend , who works in retail is furious with their treatment of her mother .

She took her complaint to the top and spoke to six managers .

One of their assistants was rude and dismissive when she took my order . It was the second time in two weeks only this time she replicated one item and didn't order another .

No apology from M and S .

Another friend had a similar experience with the same assistant on several occasions .

It would never have happened before .

Freddie’s Flowers are great - and you can speak to a real person if you ever need to. Not cheap but fabulous and I’ve often used them for presents; people are always delighted to receive them.

Yes I get Freddie’s Flowers every fortnight and my DD buys me a monthly subscription from Bloom and Wild. They are both excellent!

Companies hate being outed on Twitter, if you have an account, SillyNanny321.

I’ve used Bunches for many years and find them excellent.

I had a terrible present for my daughter from Bloom and wild dragonfly and would never chance them again
I prefer to ring a florist local to the receiver now, as I think the postal flowers are very hit and miss

NotSpaghetti Fri 16-Jun-23 07:14:54

I also have had poor experiences with bloom and wild.

NotSpaghetti Fri 16-Jun-23 07:15:37

I now prefer to buy British flowers to be honest.

Oopsadaisy1 Fri 16-Jun-23 07:16:08

I always always phone a local florist (to the person I am sending to) and get flowers delivered from them, I’ve never been disappointed.
Why go to the big companies When local shops are struggling?

Marydoll Fri 16-Jun-23 07:18:37

I have used Prestige many times, without any problems, so I am quite surprised to hear of this poor service.

However, I haven't used them since Lockdown and try now, where possble to use our local florist for family deliveries. When my daughter's wedding was cancelled the day lockdown started, he left a huge bouquet on my doorstep to soften the disappointment.

Esmay Fri 16-Jun-23 22:46:47

I forgot that I've ordered from Bunches as well as Flying Flowers - both were very good .

I can't fault them .

Rosie51 Fri 16-Jun-23 23:15:21

When I had a problem with a delivery from Bloom&Wild their customer service was second to none. They offered a replacement couriered delivery the very next day. When I explained that a letterbox delivery in a couple of days was preferable they threw in extras as compensation and insisted I let them know if that was acceptable.

BlueBelle Sat 17-Jun-23 04:03:57

Use local florists you are helping to put the high street shops out of business which you will then complain about no High Street any more
