Good morning from Bristol in loco MickI hope he’s feeling better.
It is daylight, cloudless, clear and warm. I’m getting fed up with this…. Give me some rain!
Yesterday was quiet. I had a T’ai Chi class just before lunch. Apparently, the tutor is new. He is very sweet, but not always audible - he doesn’t explain what we are supposed to do, just copy him. I tend to get my limbs tangled and my eyes crossed trying to follow! Boy, he does exercise us, very gently, but we do get a good workout.
I did a little sewing with DD’s borrowed sewing machine. It was so nice. I tried to buy a pedal and power cable, but it seems my own machine is too old (some 18 years) for anyone to keep spares. I’m half minded to buy another, newer model.
Had dinner at DD’s with the family, came home and fell into bed - just after 9. Rotten night, I don’t know why. Probably the heat.
Today, I think I have a meeting with my financial advisor. Not sure. In the mail he said “Friday”, but it could be next week!
I’m baking for a church clothes exchange tomorrow. Coffee and walnut sandwich, Biscoff fairy cakes.
May today bring contentment to all for the forthcoming weekend.
Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩❤️

Morning all. I have delivery men here to install my new washing machine and oven.
On the way to our house they overshot the driveway and whilst reversing hit the car behind them, damaging his bumper. I felt a little responsible, but it wasn't my fault!
Anyway the new white goods should be better than the ones they are replacing. My oven hasn't worked properly for months and the washing machine has been getting louder and louder and trying to shake itself to pieces.
It's a beautiful day again in the Tyne Valley with temperatures expected to reach 23°c. Let's enjoy it while it lasts.

Good morning everyone. It’s very hot here, 33°yesterday and the same expected today.

I’m still catching up with you all daily but often not till late afternoon, I’m doing the minimum housework as early as possible and enjoying the company of DGS and his dad who despite DGS’s work commitments are enjoying their boys time together.

Sorry to be so negative, had some bad news yesterday concerning DBIL and also from our eldest daughter, just wish we were at home.
Other news regarding the relative who is refusing treatment hasn’t helped either.
Not much sleep and feeling so guilty that we are away when those close to us are having a tough time.

Please do away with your guilt.
You cannot help what is happening and probably couldn’t change things if you were there.
Your relative choosing not to have treatment has made his own decision.
Try to rest and relax.
You can deal with what you are able, probably not a lot, when you get home.
Guilt is a destructive emotion. X

Hello from my lovely Isle of Wight where annual pop festival is getting underway. Terrific atmosphere. Love it. Sixty four years ago today I joined the WRNS. Complete life changer and such a happy carefree time for me. Oh yesssss.

Well let me think, hug my daughter or text her?

Go to see my BIL or text him?

I know which I would prefer to do.

Oops 😪💐

annsixty Fri 16-Jun-23 17:06:14

So sorry to upset or annoy you.
It was the last thing I would ever want to do.

aggie Fri 16-Jun-23 18:32:22

Oh I’m so sorry please forgive my thoughtlessness

Taichinan Fri 16-Jun-23 23:07:42

Oops I'm so sorry for you being so far from home and feeling so cut off from everyone. If there's no way to cut your holiday short just tell yourself that the rest will give you the strength to be a great support when you do get back. flowers
