Hot water bottles

Oh yes I love my hot water bottle. I broke my back 5 years ago and find the hottie relaxes my back muscles when I go to bed

Pure heaven when your back aching, oh the feeling of the heat seeping into your bones.....wonderful. wouldn't be without mine.😊

For many years I had a selection of wheat bags for when it was cold and they were bliss. Autumn 2022 with prospect of high energy prices we invested in heated throws for downstairs and an electric blanket for the bed. It's so cosy and if I wake in night I put it back on low for an hour and it helps me get back to sleep

We have always had an electric blanket, they last for ages and work a treat in winter ( spring and autumn too ).

Love my hot water bottle too in the winter.

There's a beach café near where I live, which provides blankets if you choose to sit outside (as plenty of people do) and you can even have a hot water bottle if you need it. 😁

Couldn't do without my hot water be at bed time - sometimes two!

Electric blanket for me I'm afraid put on low for three hours before bedtime but I've fond memories of and great respect for the old rubber "hottie".
I too remember how they warmed up my freezing feet in my home with my parents where there was no central heating and certainly no electric blankets( I don't know if electric blankets existed in the 1960s ).
True story-cold hot- water bottles, kicked to the bottom of the bed were often thrown downstairs by my siblings to be refilled for duty the next night.The full bottle , descending the stairs like a Slinky but very , very noisily(plonk,plod) more than once had my poor late mother running into the hallway to check that it wasn't one of us actually falling down the stairs (a not infrequent happening).
You can't do that with an electric blanket!!!
