We live in a nanny state and a lot of people do what they are told regardless.
I'm thinking king of a couple of things. We were at an event in a sports centre where barriers were used to let ticket holders through(like on the tube) and IN and Out were clearly marked.
When it was over all the gates were open and as I was going through the main exit my friends stopped me and told me we had to use the smaller OUT gate.
On another outing we had decided not to go on a museum tour and I suggested we could go for coffee and meet up with the rest of the party after their tour.
The other ladies were reluctant as Betty the leader might not approve!
