One of my daughters in her early fifties has always been rather clumsy. She knows never to go around any shop openly displaying glasswear etc. as items seem to fall off shelves when she is there.
More than a touch of dyspraxia there, also some hyper mobility and her ankles have always been weak. She often falls over, fortunately rarely actually causing herself too much damage.
However, this week whilst out on her morning run she became a victim of a pavement pothole and hubbie insisted he took her to the local A&E to get an x-ray of the very swollen ankle. It has turned out no break just a nasty sprain.
The thing that most disturbed her was the Doctors saying she 'had a fall' now down in her medical notes. Not, as would have been said previously that she fell over.
Oh well, she did celebrate her 50th birthday a couple of years ago, must be all downward from now on,
