Good afternoon kitchen pals, just to say we’re home safely in Inverness now, thank you all so much for your kind wishes 😀. We stayed last night at the Moxy hotel at Edinburgh airport, it was very nice and modern but we weren’t really there long enough to fully appreciate it - next time maybe!
We’re straight back into our usual routine though, because todays Wednesday DGD asked to stay over so we picked her up from school and she’s here now. A quick trip to Aldi for soup, baked potatoes and her favourite yogurt and she’s happy!
I’ve not had chance to catch up on news yet but will check back later once she’s tucked up in bed
Take care all x

Good news for your kneeNannyTopsy not long then.
Well that cat has you sussed GrannySomerset! Enjoy this evening especially as your alarm is sorted.
I’m surprised you had time to take your coat off and whack the heating up brook you’ve obviously been missed, good to see you’re home safe.
A misjudged, by me, U3A walk this morning didn’t happen, entirely my incorrect expectation as a new person, hopefully I’ll make the next one.
Onwards I went to the library, I don’t like not having a book at bedtime, one I’d started, a Christmas present, was a let down, so I’m happy now.
I’ve been cajoled, my some at quiz night, to go to bingo tonight, I’ve only ever played once, wish me luck!

brook2704 Wed 07-Feb-24 21:15:00

Hoping the bingo’s going well Jax and you get some winnings. You’re right about the heating although luckily we’ve got the Hive system so I turned it on this morning whilst passing Perth 🤣
Not long to wait nannytopsy hoping all goes well with your op and it’s an easy recovery. DH has done really well since his TKR last June and was up and down steps on holiday with no trouble. He always sets the alarm off now at security though ..
DGD has eventually gone to sleep after a long drawn out process, I’ll not be staying up much later - I’m so much looking forward to be back in my own bed
The lantern looks like it’ll be lovely llfl, whát an interesting hobby

There is a good covering of snow up here in the hills of North Wales so I will be staying at home today. Still snowing.
So sorry about the situation annsixty is in. We all deserve some peace and quiet after a lifetime of bustle.
Have a good day all.

soop Thu 08-Feb-24 14:24:12

Llfl Wow! I am very impressed.

Nannytopsy I think that you are right to stay with the surgeon that you consulted previously. You are inching towards a resolution. Best wishes to you.
We have a septic tank. Mr Soop has fixed the problem. Bless!

GrannySomerset Every feline is a born ruler. They have the canny knack of getting what they want, when they want it. It's a fact. wink

Grandmabatty Your Mum will be happy in her own way. We've visited the local care home many times in the past. There were shouters, guffawers, those that appeared to be permanently meditating, and one lady who insisted on tidying the tables of every residence (whether the resident approved, or not).

I am concerned for Neine. flowers

Welcome home, brook

Aga Thus far, no snow in Kintyre.

I'm about to ride my exercise bike. This afternoon's choice of gentle melodies will be courtesy of The Patters.
I have a non-slip step which enables me to mount the bike. Yet, in spite of it, I still manage to bruise my inner thighs on the apparatus. It is a knack that I've perfected. hmm
