Good Morning Everyone,
Its dark but a clear sky as I ca see the moon .
If its been like it has for last few days , wind chill will be a factor when out , my usual day as to bus journey returning home for a chiropodist appointment early afternoon .
Things to do such as housework etc as well .
Take Care,
Mick

White rabbits 🐇🐇🐇. Apparently, February is one of the most misspelled words in English.
Good morning from a dry cool Bristol.
Yesterday was quiet, I was tired and took it easy.
Today, tai chi and dinner with DD as usual. I might unpack some boxes. I hate packing and unpacking.
My love to the unhappy, poorly and anxious, especially keeping Urms, Marydoll, baggs, kalu and others in my heart
Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩🦩

Morning Mick, morning All. From what I can see our corner of Somerset is dry, another grey day forecast.

Enjoyed yesterdays breakfast trip. Once the washing machine has done it’s stuff we’ll visit our conservatory blinds installer and ask for a quote for much needed replacement. It’s a small, local business where we can be sure of good advice. Perhaps a stop at a local museum on the way back before some quiet time at home. I’m struggling with lack of energy and irritating pain from fibro, both will pass.

With thoughts for all managing challenges and a hope that Thursday is kind to us all.

Good morning, it’s a damp, cold start here in south Glos.
Gosh, I hadn’t realised it was February today grandMattie, I honestly don’t know where the time goes! It’s lovely to see all the spring bulbs emerging and shrubs coming into bud. The frogs are back in the pond I I guess we’ll have frogspawn soon (sadly it’s often been killed off by frost), usually around Valentines Day.
Yesterday’s dental visit discovered a filling is needed ☹️, the first work needed for several years so I can’t really complain.
I also did a bit of shopping, got the car washed, filled up with fuel then collected my medication. A rather satisfying morning really, getting everything done.
Today I have art group this afternoon, I need to do some housework this morning and walk the dog.
Take care everyone 🌹

Good morning from s somerset, cool and dull today

I was busy yesterday, put an unusual type of bike rack onto one of my bikes, it had over 12 bolts. It is on now, looks sturdy and somehow I managed to tweak my pannier fittings so that they are hanging safely. I don`t trust all these bolts so am going to get some loctite to secure the bolts. All ready now for when I get a call to say that I have an allotment. Fingers are very much crossed that I don`t have to wait long

A friend is calling today at lunchtime so I will quickly make some rolls and soup and I need to tidy my messy downstairs. I always get messy when I am busy

Have a good day

Good morning from Cornwall where non-stop sun is forecast. I will head to a beach, but which one? The north coast draws me, I think, with a flask of tea and a book.

My son-in-law is home from hospital, tired but ok. I wish I was closer to call in and see him; we're very close. My daughter is also exhausted by it all. My friend's son-in-law, aged 44, was rushed to Plymouth last night for a brain op having had a stroke. We're a very close group of six friends and these things affect us all.

Two lovely young, efficient plumbers came, drilled, sawed and replaced a pipe yesterday and my kitchen floor is dry, yippee. First time my landlord has used them so he was pleased to hear how thorough they were. While I waited hours for them to come I made three cushions so the time wasn't wasted.

Good morning from Malta where it’s around 16°C and bright.

My long day babysitting today but it makes no difference as the boys are generally happy little souls and the time passes all too quickly.

Sorry you had bad news Mizuna, I do hope your friend’s SiL will make a full recovery.

Wishing you all a good day.☀️

Marydoll Thu 01-Feb-24 07:07:06

Good morning all from a showery Glasgow, where it is 6°C.

Nothing much to report. I spent a good deal of yesterday in bed. Well much of it, except for having to strip the bed, when I was sick (TMI) all over it! 😭
We were supposed to be seeing Babydoll yesterday, but had to cancel, again.😪

Papa is doing an early school run and Dollie is coming for breakfast. 💕 I am so looking forward to seeing her.
She has a Burns assembly, this afternoon. Mummy is working snd as only one ticket is available per family, so I was supposed to be going in DIL's place. However, it looks as if papa has won the Golden Ticket by default.

Enjoy your day, whatever your plans. Keeping all the poorlies in my thoughts and prayers.

Good morning Mick and all, from a dark Lyme Regis, it looks damp out there but mist and cloud have been with us all week, hopefully it will clear today as it’s MissOops 50th birthday and it was due to be sunny, we shall see.
She has a couple of friends arriving later and our GD and her partner will be here this evening, luckily we have plenty of bedrooms. It should be fun.
So, off to fret about MzOops swimming in a couple of hours, luckily each morning she has met like minded crazy people so she isn’t alone in the water, a quick hot drink then get her back here to have a hot bath and warm up.
Everyone should be up when we get back and then off to the beach hut this afternoon, a take away is being planned for tonight, MissOops will decide later.
We were all going out for afternoon tea, but at £45 each it was decided to have it here at the house along with the birthday cake. I’m thinking we won’t all want a take away tonight. Maybe the sea air will give us an appetite.
It should be a nice day, hopefully with no drama.
I hope everyone has as good a day as they can, I’ll come back and read through later.

Good morning from a chilly but dry Torbay, but little hint of sunshine in our forecast, Mizuna. Enjoy your beach visit!

I enjoy reading about how busy you all are and wish I could find more energy at times. Some days go better than others, often related to sleep ( or the lack of!)

Yesterday, in the absence of the usual couple who run it, I hosted Wednesday Club at our theatre. The actual discussion, based on If I Ruled The World, was “lively”, to say the least but almost everyone participated, although I had to steer them away from making sweeping generalisations! The hardest part of running anything in our theatre is the logistics of accessing everything (heating, unlocking various doors, etc) Luckily, a few artisans on site helped me, for which I was grateful. Our building is in a converted church, with switches in unexpected places and door locks to rival Fort Knox!

Have as good a day as you can especially those dealing with worries or health issues of any kind. 🦩🥰🦩💐🦩

kittylester Thu 01-Feb-24 07:14:23

Good morning all from a chilly North Leicestershire.

This morning I am helping at a Memory Cafe and I have a pedicure appointment. Sainsbury's delivery at teatime. And, I have just been offered fish and chips for tea!

Have best day possible everyone.

Pittcity Thu 01-Feb-24 07:22:18

Good morning from Colchester where sunshine and single figure temperatures are forecast.
We have a surveyor coming from our energy supplier this afternoon to advise on insulation and grants available.

Love to all 🦩 x

Good morning from damp South Lanarkshire.

I’m doing a shift in the charity shop since I was away on Monday after which daft dug has an appointment with the groomer. A haircut is badly needed as she is a little fluff ball just now.

Yarn group this evening when we must decide what we’re doing for Easter.

Wishing everyone the best day possible.

GrannyGravy13 Thu 01-Feb-24 07:33:21

Morning all 👋 a beautiful pink tinge to the sky and the trees in the garden are perfectly still.

I am off to Sar53’s beach area today, DS & DiL are off to Amsterdam for a few days and I am minding the 15 & 13 yr old GS’s (I have been told that is not babysitting 🤣) they are good company so not a chore.

Will bring them back here tomorrow after school for a meal at their favourite Indian restaurant.

Have a good day folks 🙋‍♀️ 🐇🐇🐇

BlueSapphire Thu 01-Feb-24 07:33:43

Good morning and Happy White Rabbits Day everyone from a still dark and damp Northampton. 1°C out, and we should see some sun later.

An interesting afternoon yesterday at book club discussing Demon Copperhead; which all found a challenging read, but worth it. We all enjoyed a glass of Prosecco and a delicious chocolate cake made by one of our members, while we proceeded to put the world to rights. I came home with the fourth book of the Cazalet Chronicles, as our host had the whole set, nd I had been unable to get hold of Book 4.

Sainsbury's delivery this morning, and an early lunch today, then out to my tap and ballet classes, after which I shall pop to Next on the bus and pick up an order. Not sure how long they keep them in store.

Salmon fish-cakes for dinner tonight.

Take care everyone.

Alygran Thu 01-Feb-24 07:41:18

Good morning from North Yorkshire. Another day of clear skies. There’s a lovely sunrise too.
It was chilly at Saltburn yesterday but good to be in the fresh air. Fish and chips always taste better when you can see the sea!
The car is playing up again, using twice as much petrol as it should so a trip to the garage is needed this morning. I’m meeting a friend in town then hope to be back home in time for a rearranged coffee with another.
Have a good day everyone.

Gingster Thu 01-Feb-24 07:47:56

Good morning all .

It was lovely to see my ‘surrogate’ daughter (no, I didn’t give birth to her) yesterday. Had a good chat over lunch and the next time I see her, she will have had her baby. I’ve started crocheting a blanket for the little one.

Today I have Bowls club and then home to catch up with housework , crochet and reading.

You certainly have a houseful Oops. Happy birthday to MissOops. 🎈.

What a shame about the golden ticket Marydoll. I do hope you feel a little better today. 🙏.

Love to you all 🌷

Susan56 Thu 01-Feb-24 07:50:48

Good morning from Shropshire where a dry and sunny day is forecast.

We all enjoyed Strictly last night especially DGD.It was a brilliant show.Angela Rippon was pretty amazing so flexible and Layton was excellent and with Nikita won the Liverpool glitterball. We got home at 2am😴so today will be a quiet one.

I had a success of kind with the drs yesterday. Some of you may remember I was prescribed the wrong medication and I am still suffering the side effects. The senior partner at the GP practice phoned yesterday and after I explained the whole sorry saga he is going to arrange blood tests and a face to face appointment with him.He will get his secretary to book all the appointments.DD said he knows they messed up.

Marydoll I am sorry you are so unwell and missing out on precious time with your granddaughters.I hope you feel better soon💐

My thoughts are with all struggling.

Have the best day you can everyone🦩

Gingster Thu 01-Feb-24 07:51:32

Have fun with the GC GG.
We’ll make a date when Sar is back home.

Grandmachrisy47 Thu 01-Feb-24 07:53:04

Alygran, Saltburn is lovely it’s such a pity about the Cliff Lift.
Hope you all have the best day possible and that February is kinder to all.

Beechnut Thu 01-Feb-24 07:54:52

Good morning everyone and pinch punch from Severnside.
I’m glad the days are getting lighter.

I’m not going to go shopping until the weekend as I’ve got plenty of food to be going on with. I’ll probably do some crafting as there are a few birthdays coming up

Have a good day all 💐

luluaugust Thu 01-Feb-24 07:54:58

Good morning from a bright but chilly W Kent. Back to art group this morning after a winter break. Luckily it is easily accessible so I can go and catch up with everyone. Later DH wants to go to local shopping centre, not sure how that will work out, we shall see
Thinking of those struggling along and wishing you all a good day

Greyduster Thu 01-Feb-24 07:57:44

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. South Yorkshire is dry and calm at the moment; yesterday afternoon the wind was quite brisk.
My car came back from its service too late for me to go to writers group, sadly. The man who collected it left a beautiful, huge, new, top of the range electric BMW in my drive. I asked him if he would like to swap. He said his own car was a Mini Cooper like mine, and it was a lot more fun than the BMW! 😏Yeah, right! I shall go to walking group this morning, have lunch with DD and then call in on my niece on the way home. Have the best day you can, folks!

Liberty Thu 01-Feb-24 08:01:12

Good morning from a clear and calm Suffolk where I’m hoping for some sun later.

My all day meeting overran yesterday and the last couple of hours were particularly challenging so I was exhausted for the rest of the day and evening. Luckily DH had agreed to cook so I had a relaxing evening with a glass of wine, unusual for midweek and the newspapers.

Today I’m off to my stretch class and a little shop afterwards and our ever helpful handyman is coming to continue where he left off yesterday sorting out the outside lighting and shaving a little of a door and gates that have been sticking. So good to still have local help for what are quite little jobs but essential ones.

NannyJan53 Thu 01-Feb-24 08:01:27

Good morning from a frosty Black Country, hopefully it will melt as quickly as it did yesterday. Hard to believe it is February already!

Received my new hearing aids moulds yesterday, and so far no problems, they fit well. Visited Merry Hell Hill beforehand and bought a pair of trainers for the gym.

Visiting brother and sis in law today for lunch, where we will discuss the best way forward with Mum. They live in a village near Worcester, so hope we can manage a little river walk too.

Wishing you all the best day possible.
