Have you ever had an awkward moment? I seem to have them frequently. Klutzy moments
. Today, I went out with my family for a meal (fortunately nowhere too fancy). I chose a steak - well done (perhaps that was the problem). I had difficulty cutting through it and suddenly my hand slipped, knocking against the little pot of sauce that was on the plate. It flew across the table, landing upside down on a pile of menus. The sauce began to ooze out. I lifted the pot, hoping to prevent further catastrophe, but the sauce pooled over the menus. I began to laugh, seeing the funny side of it, but alas nobody joined in. Hubby, daughter and eldest grandson looked mortified. They mumbled something about how it could only happen to me
. Only the youngest grandchildren sniggered appreciatively. My daughter, ever efficient, began mopping up the sauce and cleaning off the menus. Hubby rolled his eyes in embarrassment, although nobody in the restaurant seemed to have noticed the incident
.
This sort of thing happens frequently to me, however careful I try to be. I always laugh it off, but I'm sure I have a bock on me.
Does anyone else have klutzy moments?
